Sudden cravings for hot soup led me here. Upon reading good reviews, I didn't hesitate anymore...and this is the only (reputable) Chinese restaurant in the area (I think).

Halo-halo congee, beef mami, fried bean curd are all delicious and generous in portion. You can actually share the mami or congee, then order a dimsum easily with the roving dimsum cart, and you will be full.

Han Pao Tea House has been around for over 2 decades and they continue to serve authentic Chinese food on your table.  I was able to visit them few months back and I was truly amaze by how they serve their food.  This place in Shaw actually opened in 1997.  It has some visible tears and wears but still neat and is actually pretty big.  They have rooms for functions and meetings so this is one restaurant to consider.

Our family's favorite Chinese restaurant. We don't even read the menu anymore, we just order the usual noodle feast, tao pei roll, hakaw, chicken feet, and fried dumpling.

Han Pao has always been our comfort food restaurant. Food is great, pricing is reasonable and service is excellent. Im happy Zomato Gold is offering as well so other members can discover Han Pao. Best to order their hakao, kutchay dumplings and seaking roll. Salted fish fried rice, beef with broccoli and their fried chicken with Kropek are our staples.

My grown up kids were still babies when I started going to this place. In the twenty plus years that Han Pao has been open, the Philippines has had five presidents! This place is reliable. I know I’m always getting delicious, value for money Chinese food. Outside Le Ching, the hakaw at Han Pao is the best bang for the buck in the Mandaluyong/San Juan area.

I didn't know that this delicious Chinese restaurant in Mandaluyong City exist until I’ve visited and tasted it.

Hanpao Restaurant is situated in Mandaluyong City and offers traditional Chinese cuisine and wide selections of dimsum.

During our visit I was able to try some of their specialties. The Prawn Salad and Seafood Roll caught my attention. Definitely I will be back again to order these 2 unforgettable dishes. Sarap!

As a Filipino, Chinese cuisine is really close to our hearts even hundred of years ago we have deeply rooted cultural ties with them ❤️🇵🇭🇨🇳 so for all Chinese food goers out there, make @hanpaoteahouse part of your where to go and eat resto list. They serve good comforting food 😋 we had Minced Pork in Lettuce, hoisin is love! My personal top picked Hanpao Noodle Feast, it’s good for sharing having springy rice, it has spicy pork, braised beef, chicken and steamed dumpling. I also love the Warm milk pudding I was impressed with the soft warm texture balanced sweetness perfect for dessert after a savory feast. We were served with Mapo Tofu, Stuffed Beancurd, Chopseuy and Chinese Prawn Tempura were all good..

This lone Han Pao branch has stood the test of time. It has been around for at least 20 years, serving authentic Chinese cuisine and one of the best destinations for dimsum. It is located beside one of Puregold's main supermarkets, in Shaw Boulevard. I have been here quite a number of times, going back and forth, particularly because of their Hakao.

So I had the Hakao once again but this time, I got to indulge in their other worthy dishes. One of the most interesting is their take on Noodle Feast. It was classic noodles topped with a colorful plate of wontons, beef brisket, pork barbecue, chicken, and bokchoy. It is a delicious fix good enough to be enjoyed by up to 4 hungry people!

I was with Mia on this journey, and she assisted me in consuming other dishes like Fried Tofu, Sweet & Sour Shrimp, Yang Chow Fried Rice, and other dimsum selections. Among these, the Sweet & Sour Shrimp was most memorable, thanks to its savory taste and ample portion. Not bad for Php 320!

Han Pao also serves desserts, rice toppings, and various set menu options. You can also book the place for any kind of celebration. The place can easily fit a hundred people.

Hanpao Teahouse is an undiscovered Chinese restaurant, tucked away in Shaw Blvd. It passed my picky Chinese food standards, so I'll definitely recommend this place to my family.

🥛 Warm Milk Pudding: This dessert gets its inspiration from the milk puddings of Hong Kong, with its nice silken texture and just the right amount of sweetness. I love this dessert because it brings back memories of late night snacking, back when I was still living in Causeway Bay. Plus, this isn't something you'd usually find in Chinese restaurants here in the Philippines, which makes it all the more unique!

🌶 Mapo Tofu: unlike the usual Mapo tofus I've tried, which taste like pure fire, this version incorporates sour black vinegar flavors, mixed with a mild heat. It includes diced pieces of silken tofu, mushrooms, peas and ground pork with a light peppering of sliced chili. My only concern: it could do without the peas. But taste-wise, I love it.

🦐 Stuffed Beancurd: slices of beancurd are deep fried and stuffed with shrimp in this dish. It comes in a sticky sauce to add some saltiness to it, along with some blanched veggies. The firm texture of the beancurd, and flavors that come alive with the sauce are what I like in this dish.

🥗 Chopsuey: steamed vegetables is something I enjoy because I reminds me of home. It's a mix of baby corn, cabbage, pork and mushroom that are simmered in a simple soy sauce til everything is nice and tender.

🥟 Fried Shrimp Wonton: my standards for deep fried wonton aren't that high. All I ask is for a crisp texture and for people to use new oil when frying. Thankfully here, the wontons pass with flying colors. They were delicious! Dip it in their homemade sweet and sour sauce so the flavor comes alive in your mouth.

🍜 Hanpao Noodle Feast: now this is the highlight among all their dishes. It's a sharing platter filled with springy rice noodles, topped with a variety of meats to choose from: spicy pork, braised beef, steamed dumplings and even chicken! Remember to mix it together with the sticky sweet sauce it comes with. Try the spicy pork— it's my favorite of them all.

🍃 Minced Pork with Lettuce: this one's another favorite of mine because it uses my all time favorite Chinese sauce— hoisin! Pork, veggies and mushroom are cooked in this sauce, then topped on a crisp lettuce leaf. It's a flavor bomb to die for. Seriously.

My recommendation: drop by during teatime, from 2-5pm. They sell their dimsum at 20% off!

Fun fact: Hanpao is the commissary of Kimpo, a Chinese restaurant in Banawe. ❤️

Thank you Seems LegEAT and Hanpao Teahouse for the invite!
