Was actually hesitant to eat here, since whenever i pass by, no one is dining in. Finally tried it today and it wasnt a mistake. They really have good xiao long bao and probably this is better than DTF. Might get flamed but it is true. Plus the serving is bigger and they dont have service charge

Love the flavor, balance and cost. Fish fillet could have been better without the big fish bones though

Funny. Chinese people love the place while filipinos are complaining about authenticity. Hell I'm Chinese and the food was pretty good and authentic to me.

Curious as to what counts as "authentic" to these people LOL

Their Sliced braised pork is delicious. I had one for take out. However they charge additional for packaging. The servers are also polite and accommodating.

💕 Date for Two: Three Seafood Treasure Fried Noodles, Giant Tang Bao

💌 Total: P478

Overall:
A perfect after-drink snack, we went to Bai Nian Tang Bao for some quick hearty stuffs to fill our tummies.

Three Seafood Treasure Fried Noodles (P219) – their take on a classic pansit canton, this fried noodles is well-seasoned but we find this very oily and the serving is not enough for one person. We actually plan to eat light that night but we still find this lacking.

Giant Tang Bao (P259) – we are all familiar with the marvelous Xiao Long Bao but have you seen a giant version of it? We did! It’s so big we have to use a straw to draw out the soup in it. This is called Tang Bao, or soup-filled steamed buns. Bai Nian Tang Bao’s version has pork and crab roe inside. It’s so tasty! We can actually eat more of this. Two tang baos more, please?

Value for money: Giant Tang Bao is worth it. Maybe best to order another if you want a noodle.

Heard from friends that this place serves the best giant xiao long bao. You know what I did? I indulged.

Yup! Dropped by here with my foodie friends as they were constantly nagging me to try this place out. We went on a weekday and as expected, there weren’t much people around. Place was huge, well lit, and has a huge ceiling. Interiors scream authentic chinese but the ambiance is pretty modern.

First order of business was the giant xiao long bao which I was super happy I tried. The broth was packed with flavor and the soup was piping hot when served. The added crab roe gave the soup dumpling that edge and it really worked. Definitely recommend that you try this.

The different dumplings that we got were ok. Nothing special. Won’t actually buy it again if I had the chance. The sweet fish with crispy skin was good. Super loved it together with their delicious fried rice. The eggplant dish with ground pork was also amazing! Perfect heat and just the right amount of sweetnes. Ended the meal with some milk tea which was quite good too.

Their giant Xiao Long Bao is a must try! It’s a new kind dimsum experience. Instead of take a small bite and sip the soup, now you must drink the soup filling with straw before you can enjoy the meat. My husband jokingly said, “It’s not XIAO long bao anymore! It’s TA long bao.” Very funny, Darling!

It was traffic anyway so hubby and I decided to have a quick dinner. We found ourselves in BGC area looking for ramen but ended up at Bai Nian Tang Bao. There were few diners but we went in just the same. We orderded a big bowl of pork noodles, xaio long bao and pork buns plus bok choi on the side. They were all delish. The chicken strips are crispy and not oily. We gobbled up everything. I am thankful that we found this place that serves good and affordable Chinese food.

Just out of curiosity, I had the strong urge to try this place out. I was so intrigued about how good the food looked (tbh, it's something that matters to me a lot).

I ordered their Shanghai Golden Sheng Jian Bao (pan fried xiao long bao), pork dumplings, special sausage fried rice, shanghai scallion oil noodles, and salt and pepper chicken strips.

I initially thought that ordering a lot of dishes was okay as a single diner since the servings looked small, but when they got to my table, I realized that I was so wrong. The first thing that got to my table was the oil noodles that came with a side of soup. The noodles were nice and firm, the flavor was good as well. I think it would be better with a bit of meat in it though. The second dish that arrived was the salt and pepper chicken strips. I didn't really expect much from it because it sounded basic to me, but after eating a strip, I was really impressed by the flavor that the chicken had. The batter was nicely seasoned as well! Next came the dumplings and the fried rice. OK, TBH, their dumplings are THE BEST. The wrapper was strong enough to hold the flavorful filling. It was the star of the meal. On the other hand, I liked the bits of pieces in the rice, but found it a bit oily. Lastly, the pan fried xiao long bao came after a looooong time but it was so worth it. I took a bite and was b l o w n away. It was really something different. The crunch at the bottom was the *mic drop.

For the price, everything was so worth it! The staff were so attentive and nice too, so the whole experience was excellent.
Get this, the whole time I was there, groups of chinese people went to dine. So I guess that pretty much says a lot.

It was holiday when we dined here so it was not crowded that time. They had big servings for a reasonable price. I loved the Shanghai Golden Sheng Jian Bao (See third picture below.) So delicious!😊
