It's not the first time we ate and drank in Tipsy Pig, but for the first time, I will right a review for this commendable place. Hear me out please!
1. Atmosphere and Environment
Ok, heads-up, this place is usually packed with lots of happy people. So don't expect expect to get a seat right a way. There is a reason why this place is always packed and I will detail more below. The choice of music here is not really remarkable, and the volume quite loud inside, but you can have a decent conversation outside. The air-conditioning always cool and if you stay outside, natural breeze flows well.
You will definitely notice the architecture here. Well planned spaces and use of material like wood and a bar with backlit onyx stone. They have one of the best architecture / interior. Not to mention theit toilets are well maintained and proper working lavatory and tissue all the time. Never fail. One time I walked in and a dude was puking all over, but they cleaned it immediately.
2. Food and Drinks
Value for money every peso you spend here is really worth more than you are spending. The serving scale here is beyond the right size, but the cost way lower than the equivalent. You should try the pork chop! But if you're not really pork person, despite this place being named Tispy Pig, they have a lot of alternatives. We love the blue marlin, beef salpicao, etc. Drinks here very economical and comes faster than you can say, "Can we follow up our drinks?".
3. Service
We have been here many times, but every now and then then, there are servers who deliver beyond what is expected. Like today, I was with very difficult-to-please and bordering rude patrons, but "Zy" or "Zyra" was always smiling and quick despite rude treatment. I embarrassed that our companion was rude and she was putting up with all this, but she was cool about it. On top of that, she knows the menu, best sellers, and she was always on the dot. She turned around our experience and made it quite pleasant. I would say she is, "A gem amidst the chaos". I really hope management will notice this.
Yes, at times kinda hard to call waiters here, but to put things in perspective, there are so many patrons. If you complain about crap like you are not being served, perhaps there is something wrong with the way you present yourself?
4. Overall
Tipsy Pig is probably one of the best gastro pub in the metro. I would recommend this place to locals and my business partners any time. I hope they would keep up with their current standard.
I would definitely go back to Tipsy Pig with people I highly value because "hindi ako mapahiya". Cheers!
