Was actually hesitant to eat here, since whenever i pass by, no one is dining in. Finally tried it today and it wasnt a mistake. They really have good xiao long bao and probably this is better than DTF. Might get flamed but it is true. Plus the serving is bigger and they dont have service charge
Love the flavor, balance and cost. Fish fillet could have been better without the big fish bones though
Funny. Chinese people love the place while filipinos are complaining about authenticity. Hell I'm Chinese and the food was pretty good and authentic to me.
Curious as to what counts as "authentic" to these people LOL
Their Sliced braised pork is delicious. I had one for take out. However they charge additional for packaging. The servers are also polite and accommodating.
💕 Date for Two: Three Seafood Treasure Fried Noodles, Giant Tang Bao
💌 Total: P478
Overall:
A perfect after-drink snack, we went to Bai Nian Tang Bao for some quick hearty stuffs to fill our tummies.
Three Seafood Treasure Fried Noodles (P219) – their take on a classic pansit canton, this fried noodles is well-seasoned but we find this very oily and the serving is not enough for one person. We actually plan to eat light that night but we still find this lacking.
Giant Tang Bao (P259) – we are all familiar with the marvelous Xiao Long Bao but have you seen a giant version of it? We did! It’s so big we have to use a straw to draw out the soup in it. This is called Tang Bao, or soup-filled steamed buns. Bai Nian Tang Bao’s version has pork and crab roe inside. It’s so tasty! We can actually eat more of this. Two tang baos more, please?
Value for money: Giant Tang Bao is worth it. Maybe best to order another if you want a noodle.
#DateForTwo at Bai Nian Tang Bao
Heard from friends that this place serves the best giant xiao long bao. You know what I did? I indulged.
Yup! Dropped by here with my foodie friends as they were constantly nagging me to try this place out. We went on a weekday and as expected, there weren’t much people around. Place was huge, well lit, and has a huge ceiling. Interiors scream authentic chinese but the ambiance is pretty modern.
First order of business was the giant xiao long bao which I was super happy I tried. The broth was packed with flavor and the soup was piping hot when served. The added crab roe gave the soup dumpling that edge and it really worked. Definitely recommend that you try this.
The different dumplings that we got were ok. Nothing special. Won’t actually buy it again if I had the chance. The sweet fish with crispy skin was good. Super loved it together with their delicious fried rice. The eggplant dish with ground pork was also amazing! Perfect heat and just the right amount of sweetnes. Ended the meal with some milk tea which was quite good too.
Their giant Xiao Long Bao is a must try! It’s a new kind dimsum experience. Instead of take a small bite and sip the soup, now you must drink the soup filling with straw before you can enjoy the meat. My husband jokingly said, “It’s not XIAO long bao anymore! It’s TA long bao.” Very funny, Darling!
It was traffic anyway so hubby and I decided to have a quick dinner. We found ourselves in BGC area looking for ramen but ended up at Bai Nian Tang Bao. There were few diners but we went in just the same. We orderded a big bowl of pork noodles, xaio long bao and pork buns plus bok choi on the side. They were all delish. The chicken strips are crispy and not oily. We gobbled up everything. I am thankful that we found this place that serves good and affordable Chinese food.
Just out of curiosity, I had the strong urge to try this place out. I was so intrigued about how good the food looked (tbh, it's something that matters to me a lot).
I ordered their Shanghai Golden Sheng Jian Bao (pan fried xiao long bao), pork dumplings, special sausage fried rice, shanghai scallion oil noodles, and salt and pepper chicken strips.
I initially thought that ordering a lot of dishes was okay as a single diner since the servings looked small, but when they got to my table, I realized that I was so wrong. The first thing that got to my table was the oil noodles that came with a side of soup. The noodles were nice and firm, the flavor was good as well. I think it would be better with a bit of meat in it though. The second dish that arrived was the salt and pepper chicken strips. I didn't really expect much from it because it sounded basic to me, but after eating a strip, I was really impressed by the flavor that the chicken had. The batter was nicely seasoned as well! Next came the dumplings and the fried rice. OK, TBH, their dumplings are THE BEST. The wrapper was strong enough to hold the flavorful filling. It was the star of the meal. On the other hand, I liked the bits of pieces in the rice, but found it a bit oily. Lastly, the pan fried xiao long bao came after a looooong time but it was so worth it. I took a bite and was b l o w n away. It was really something different. The crunch at the bottom was the *mic drop.
For the price, everything was so worth it! The staff were so attentive and nice too, so the whole experience was excellent.
Get this, the whole time I was there, groups of chinese people went to dine. So I guess that pretty much says a lot.
It was holiday when we dined here so it was not crowded that time. They had big servings for a reasonable price. I loved the Shanghai Golden Sheng Jian Bao (See third picture below.) So delicious!😊
This restaurant is somewhat underrated but it sure serves authentic Chinese food. Their specialty are xiao long bao and we think that they did not disappoint. My favorite variation during our visit was the Sheng Jian Bao or fried xiao long bao. Will be back for the Giant Tang Bao.
We were quite famish when we went inside Bai Nian. We were looking for a good place to have lunch but we want food that will be served immediately. Bai Nian Tang Bao serve authentic Chinese food. We ordered Xiao Long Bao specifically because we're just curious when it stated that it is the Origin of the Xiao Long Bao and it did not disappoint. Must try is all their fried rice and the Three Seafood Treasure Fried noodles of course. Next time I will be be back so I can get the names of the food we ate there hahahahhahaha. But one things is for sure, I love the food at Bai Nian Tang Bao!!!
Best xiao long bao ever. Super delicious rice too! Very underrated chinese restaurant... but i think this is way better than the famous din tai fung... loved everything we ordered! Too delicious, wasnt able to get a photo of our other orders!!! Cant wait to go back.
Probably one of the most underrated Chinese restaurants in the Metro!
What I love about Chinese restaurants is how savory their dishes are and how generous the serving size is and Bai Nian definitely did not disappoint. Be sure to try their famous Tang Baos since these are freshly made on the spot and of course, their noodles too. If you like veggies like I do, I highly recommend the Bok Choy and the Stir-Fried Tofu with Pork. For refreshments, I’d go for Wang Lo Kat (My new favorite, will be yours too), Xiao Ming Tea (Tastes like Yakult. VERY ADDICTING!) and of course, Jiang Xiaobai, if you wanna try their alcoholic drinks instead of going for the typical local beer. What I can suggest is to buy a bottle of Jiang Xiaobai to share and take shots altogether especially if you guys are full. Sidenote: It’s as smooth as Soju but let’s not talk about the aftertaste 😝
The ambiance is not that of a typical Chinese restaurant because it has a modern feel and look to it.
I also like how it’s located near The Palace so I can bring my friends before we have a night out.
The staff are accommodating as well and they all deserve commendation for their fast and proper service.
Overall, I’ll definitely be back 100% and I can’t wait to bring my family and friends for them to try it too!
Different races in different
countries have been raving about Xiao Long Bao for years even before I even exist. It's a little basket bun with minced pork and soup. Made fresh and steamed right before they serve it to you. I am grateful to be able to try all these one weekday Lunch.
We had the following...
Chicken soup pork xiao long bao and
Giant tang bao. It's seriously big and filled with minced pork, shrimps and soup, you have to sip on the hot soup with a straw before it gets cold. Indeed a different but remarkable filling experience. Each piece for only P200.
Five treasure veggie dumplings (yellow), Cuttlefish dumplings (black), Leeks with pork and shrimp dumplings (white),
Celery pork dumplings (green)
everything was good and moist but I'd say my favorite would be the color white dumpling. They are freshly steamed and served hot, also best to eat immediately like the Xiao Long Bao.
Yuxiang shredded pork,
Steamed fish fillet soft Tilapia meat, steamed and flavored.
Sticky rice and pork siomai,
Shanghai style fish fillet which was fried to crisp and flavored. I like it actually.
Special sausage fried rice
It's really filling and enticing. They've got all the bright colored ingredients to make it more appealing. You definitely should try it coz it's good. You'll only need one dumpling with their serving of rice and you're good.
Thank you so much mumsh Johnbunag
Bai nian tang bao is located at the uptown parade. It’s an authentic Chinese restaurant. It was known for its giant Tang Bao. Had tried it and I like it. It’s very rich in flavor.
My Favorites are; Yuxiang shredded pork and Shanghai style fish fillet.

"Home of the Giant Tang Bao" aka the giant xiao long bao that you slurp with a straw. It costs only Php 259 to experience this and it will be worth it especially for first timers since aside from the soup, it contains ground pork, shrimp, and crab roe. If one is on a tight budget, pair this with their Special Fried Rice (Php 209)---actually, for the latter, kanin palang ulam na.
The real gem here though is their regular xiao long baos. For one, their Chicken Soup Pork Xiao Long Bao is only Php 169 for 6 pcs. And personally, the texture of its meat and the flavor of its soup is better than Din Tai Fung's; the latter's meat being too mushy and the soup being bland for my taste.
Another favorite was the Shanghai Style Fish Fillet (Php 199). It was cruncy yet meaty: the perfect viand, really. Surprisingly, the soya milk drink which is made in-house serves as a refreshing drink for this dish.
Excellent fried Xiao long bao & love the crab roe Xiao bao but the skin is a bit thick & the giant Xiao long bao needed to try it but nothing special🤔
If you’re in search of good, authentic Chinese food, look no further because Bai Nian Tang Bao seems to capture the essence of what Chinese food is supposed to be.
The food here isn’t commercialized or made fusion. They serve up truly authentic Chinese food that is neither too bland nor too westernized.
You must try their pork xiao long baos. Bai Nian Tang Bao is actually the origin of the xiao long bao, so this is definitely their specialty. You might also want to give their giant xlb a try (just because it looks pretty cool).
Booked a table through Zomato app, they were quick to respond. Our group of seven went on a Saturday night, I liked how quiet the ambiance was when we were there and the place wasn’t crowded.
Food is awesome. It is a bit pricey for this kind of cuisine but nonetheless, satisfying. I particularly loved their House Special Seafood Dumplings, and Xiao Long Baos (Shrimp and Pork, and Scallop and Pork). The Giant Tang Bao is interesting, but it’s difficult to eat and is not as good as I hoped it would be.
Service can still be improved. The XLBs were served last. Crew was accommodating enough to allow us to serve the cake we purchased outside.
Good ambiance and lighting for that instagrammable shot. Greeted by pleasant servers and a clear soup that’s clean and refreshing before having a great feast. Their XLB has a nice flavor and bite to it but would suggest having a thinner skin. If coming in in pairs, you can share 2 meals at once as the portions are very generous and filling for it’s price. The flavors are rich yet not overpowering. The place can improve on having a speedy service in terms of serving the food and even handing out the bill. But will definitely be back!
I have been here a couple of times and enjoyed the the food and the service. The giant xlb is something to try once. You get to enjoy the soup and the filling as you get so much of it. The wrapper though I find too thick.

I was with my co-workers when I ate here and it was a pleasant experience because of the attentive staffs and good service. Their xiao long bao there is a must-try food. Their rice bowls and noodles are served in a big bowls and you might want to have a share in this one, unless you’re a heavy eater. Bonus: When you take out your food, it comes with microwaveable container. Comes in handy when you want to finish your meal somewhere else, especially in the office.
Xiao long bao is great!! Soup inside the xiao long bao is very flavorful. Service is alright as well. Only downside during our experience is the playlist which doesn't fit theme of the restaurant.
All I can say is that I they have the best xiao long bao! The soup in the dumplings were savory. It was really great. I also like their other dish like the fish.
I will definitely go back for their Xiao long bao.
Delicious food, good pricing, and warm service made for a great experience.
Their tangbaos were really good! The wrapper is nice and thin and the broth inside is hot and flavorful. The spicy cabbage wasn't what I was expecting or used to, but it was pretty good as well. Shanghai-style fish fillet was crispy, sweet, and delicious. The braised pork was all right, but nothing spectacular in my opinion. I'd order something else instead. The plum juice was too thin, sweet, and lacked sourness.
The restaurant looked bright, clean, and air-conditioning was good. Servers were friendly and attentive. Food was served hot and fast. Plates looked and felt cheap.
Since it's the start of rainy season again, I was craving for soup dumplings and I was very interested in trying out Bai Nian Tang Bao's famous giant xiao long bao.
Upon arriving on a Thursday night, I was happy to see that there were only few people in the restaurant which makes it more peaceful to eat in my opinion haha. We ordered the giant crab roe xiao long bao, special sticky rice and pork siomai, shangai golden sheng jian bao (pan friend xiao long bao), sweet and sour pork spareibs, signature crab stick rice and jasmine tea. I would say that our order was enough for two considering that we were very hungry that time and we wanted to try a few of their bestsellers since it was our first time there.
I think the food was great and I would love to come back when I crave for Chinese cuisine and xiao long bao again. Although, I would say that I would order the regular 6pcs xiao long bao next time since I prefer to eat all the ingredients in one bite. I enjoyed the giant one but I think that it was just the experience of eating a giant version of the xiao long bao that makes it one of a kind plus it was a bit messy to eat since the soup starts to drip a little once you punch a hole in it with their paper straw and you can't really eat the meat inside without having to break the whole thing. I might also skip on the special sticky rice and pork siomai on my next visit since i find it heavy (well of course it was sticky rice) and I'm not really a big fan of the taste. Other than that, everything was delicious and the prices were average.
Their place was clean and bright and plus points to their restroom which was very clean and it was stocked up on tissue papers and hand soap too, I must say. I think having a clean restroom speaks a lot about a restaurant or any place for that matter lol. Overall, I had a great experience with this place 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Oh, and you can get a P500 discount when you're prime member on the Booky app. I just saved you a good discount on your bill. You're welcome 😜
Truly an authentic shanghai cusine to enjoy in BGC located outside at the ground floor of Uptown Annex right across Valkerie.
Perfect place to go to after a night of partying with friends.
Must try their large xiao long bao.
Xiao Long Bao have really inveded the Philippine cuisine and from an unknown we now have multiple establishment serving XLB. Bai Nian Tang Bao is another franchise from China brought here in Manila. Hidden in Uptown Parade near the parking area side. This one is another aithentic chinese resto that you'll fell in love with. The soup of their XLB are really rich and amazingly good. Must try is their Jumbo XLB which you need to zip through a starw before munching the crab roe. If you want to try the version like of XLB you must try the Sheng Jian Bao. Love it. Other must try is the rice toppings priced at just around 200+ were so filling and good. Even the scalding Okra was yummy.
If you are in for some delicious chinese food and quite hidden go for Bai Nian Tang Bao. You'll definitely enjoy good chinese food.
Was in a rush so didnt take a lot of photos,
Generally the food is really good, i live in the north but i would definitely drive down to the fort to eat there, personally they need marketing and i hope that they will have the exposure that they deserve

Quick and warm service - Value for Money
Surprisingly quick, took them just 10 mins to serve what we ordered. Their Fried Xia Long Bao and Dimsum is definitely a must-try!
Xiao Long Bao is one of the most popular Chinese dishes in the world. Though it gained popularity in Manila just a few years back, it is undeniable that this dish is here to stay with more and more restaurants offering this delicate soup dumpling. But it turned out that most of the xiao long bao we see in Manila are not exactly the ones you'd get in China as these are based on Taiwanese recipes. And one new restaurant claims to be the first in Manila to offer authentic Chinese xiao long bao.
Bai Nian Tang Bao has been around from some time now over different parts of the world. First opened in Shanghai, China, the owners were generous enough to let the Filipinos try the original Xiao Long Bao that originated in this country. Their process takes 12 long hours to cook with 20 procedures to have one Xiao Long Bao. Just imagine the amount of flavors bursting into it. Having won awards in a food competition in China, Bai Nian Tang Bao really has something to brag when it come to their Xiao Long Bao. They opened their branch in Uptown Parade, BGC. It’s surprising to know that Bai Nian means ‘hundred years’ and Tang Bao ‘famous dumpling soup.’ But they don’t just offer what their name says, they also have different dishes and here’s what stood out the most to me:
Special Crab Roe Xiao Long Bao - The strong flavor of Crab Roe was evident in every bite. It tasted really good. No wonder people are raving about this. The ground meat was really tender.
Giant Tang Bao - Same with the classic Xiao Long Bao, the sauce is the same but the skin was a bit thick on this one. It would be understandable as the skin has to hold the amount of soup that will be put in it. With the help of a straw, sip the goodness in it. I would eat this during rainy weather.
Shanghai Special Braised Pork – Tender pork glazing in its special sauce. The sesame seeds added an interesting flavor to it. To me, this was a comfort food.
Sweet and Sour Pork Spare Ribs - I find the meat a bit chewy. The flavor was there but I thought they could have made it fall-of-the-bone so I can easily enjoy its yumminess.
Chef Special Braised Pata Noodle Soup - The Noodles were firm. The soup was flavorful too. This is something I would have to cure a hangover.
They also offer Rice Toppings, perfect during lunch.
Stewed Pork with Pork Steak
Stewed Pork with Beef Steak
Stewed Pork with Chicken Steak
Again, their meat were all tender with egg and tofu on the side. It was flavorful. My advice would be to consume the sauce with lots of rice as it was a bit salty. My favorite would be the Stewed Pork with Beef Steak.
Special Sausage Fried Rice - I am a fan of anything Fried Rice. Theirs did not disappoint. It has generous amount of vegetables, bacon and eggs.
Special Sticky Rice - This is probably their take on Pinoy' famous Biko. The sticky brown rice in a wanton wrap.
I would love this more if it was fried.
I really enjoyed my dining experience here in #BNTB. Their food is something I would come back to and I will recommend this to my friends too.
If you're looking for quality and authentic Chinese cuisine, I highly recommend this place. 😇
The food is really good. The staff are friendly and accommodating.
Bai Nian Tang Bao recently opened their first branch in the Philippines which is located at uptown Parade, Taguig City.
Bai Nian Tang Bao is the origin of Xiao Long Bao. According to the background of their history it all began way back in year 1756. Whoah! More than a hundred years!
The restaurant has a very casual set up. It’s not big but at least they can accommodate 60 customers. There’s an open kitchen where you can see how the XLB prepared and cooked. The restaurant has own restroom too.
One of the famous dish of Bai Nian Tang Bao is the Crab Roe Xiao Long Bao and the Giant Tang Bao where you need to use straw to sip the sauce of XLB. Other flavors of XLB - Scallops and Pork, Chicken Soup and Golden Corn Pork.
We also had Special Dimsum, Dumplings and Wanton, Noodle Soup, Rice Bowl and many more.
Overall, I enjoy the Giant Tang Bao. It is my first time to eat that kind of XLB using a straw and it was really good. On my next visit I will order this XLB again.
#ilovetoeatph 😃❤️
A gem of a restaurant near Valkyrie.
FOOD: They have a lot of variety in their dishes. I especially loved their Giant Tang Bao. I think it's great for photos, it tastes good, and it's a fun experience. Their xiao long baos definitely did not disappoint!
I was surprised to find affordable rice bowls that are perfect for a good lunch/ brunch. They come in the choices of pork, beef, chicken, or a combination of them.
This restaurant makes vegetables taste good. I've never been a fan if ocra but i had a loooot of their ocra dish.
Some of their dishes can get salty at times though. Like their beef in the rice bowls.
But the dish i will be coming back for is the fish. Wow. It was crunchy then a wave of sweet sauce washed over.
AMBIENCE: I love the ambience of this place. It has high ceilings, and high windows with good natural light streaming in. You could watch the chefs make xiao long bao too with their very own spot covered with glass.
I finally, finally got to try Bai Nian Tang Bao (百年龍袍), that restaurant under construction I’ve been seeing across from The Palace / Valkyrie. The restaurant’s tagline is: The Origin of Xiao Long Bao – and with that claim, you know it got on my radar.
The must-tries for me are the Giant Tang Bao and the Shanghai Golden Sheng Jian Bao. I also liked the xiao long baos, you should give them a try, too! 🙂 The big, crab roe Tang Bao is a rare item to find in Manila.
What makes Bai Nian Tang Bao different?
I haven’t been to BGC for about a year and a lot happened, specifically the number of restaurants popping up like mushrooms, especially in the Uptown Parade/Uptown Mall area. One of these recently opened ones is a Chinese restaurant that specialized in Xiao Long Bao and more specifically, Shanghainese cuisine.
This is literally a hidden gem in Uptown Parade. Their Xiao long Bao’s are really good! Was able to try all of them and I personally liked the corn xiao long bao it’s something I’ve never tried anywhere else. Their braised pork is a must!! As well as the crispy fish which was in a special sauce it was really yum!! If you want a unique experience you have to try their Giant Tang Bao set your expectations cause when they say giant it is in comparison to your usual Xiao long bao, the broth inside is thick and very tasty! Be careful cause you’d have to wait about a minute as it’s really hot. I hope though that they stop using paper straw cause it melts and becomes completely useless. Their crab meat rice was really good though it’s just really crab sticks nonetheless it was really good! For drinks you have to try the dark plum juice! I definitely look forward to coming back so I can try their wanton and desserts!
From a mom's point of view, Bai Nian Tiang Bao is value for money. I loved that all the dishes that were served to us were of quality ingredients and generally tasty. I noticed as well that the pricing is very competitive. They were all below P300. I found that a delightful surprise considering its prime location in Uptown Parade.....
So we decided to try Bai Nian Tang Bao as we have a discount of 500 through booky. For the location, I think it's a bit hidden like you have enter the parade to get there. The place was nice bit smelled a bit of paint. The food was ok, but for the price I think its a bit expensive.
So we tried the scallops xiao long bao, sweet and sour spareribs, pan fried xiao long pao, dumplings and fried rice. so I do recommend everthing. the taste was ok.
I love their newly offered dishes. Their Giant Tang Bao are bigger than ever. The foods are not oily and served well. Delicious dishes, competently prepared and presented with a smile
Since I just came back from Shanghai China, I am really craving for authentic Chinese Food and thank God, I found Bai Nian Tang Bao. Amongst the many Chinese restos in ph, This is the one of the few places where I was able to taste that particular flavor that I was looking for. The Giant Tang Bao is something to really look forward for and they have different varieties of best Xiao Long Bao and the sticky rice siomai. Highly notable is the unique tomato based noodle and the Refreshing herbal Tea!
I went there with my friends, everytime when I wanna eat Xiao long bao, I just went to DingTaiFeng. But Now I thing Bai Nian is the best xiaolonbao in BGC.
The pan fried Xiao Long Bao and the scallops and pork Xiao Long Bao are a must here. The soup in the pork dumpling soup reminded me of some Korean seaweed soup—the taste was really light. The pork knuckles were just ok. Servings are small compared to the pictures on the menu.
Very nice and delicious. Like the taste from china. All the cusine is typical chinese. I strongly rencommend you to try the dumping, the noodle, the rice, etc.
They offered 40% off promo in Metrodeal plus their regular prices are quite reasonable, so dining here was really super sulit. Since they're still in the soft opening stage, quite a number of dishes in their menu are still unavailable, such as their giant tang bao and sweet rice dessert, I was really disappointed that I didn't get to try them but so far, I like the tastes of those I've ordered, except for the fish fillet, it was overcooked, too salty and kind of dry. Restaurant is clean and servers were very attentive and accommodating. Definitely going back for more specially the promo is still ongoing.
