One of the best meals out we’ve had in a long time. Love everything we ordered: the barramundi with preserved lemon and arugula, burrata with heirloom tomatoes, grilled corn with harissa, and savage rice. Can’t wait to be back!
Great food, great plating, great concept.
Food is very good, but a little expensive. Prices could be better. They definitely need more staff especially in the kitchen, as the wait times are ridiculously long. They were clearly understaffed when we went and you could see the staff there scrambling to get the orders out, but it was too much for the few of them.
I honestly think Savage is an underrated restaurant. I order the Tuna Jaw/ Collar every time I visit - it's just sublime, perfectly smoked and very moist, one of the best executions I've seen. The tuna tartare is also lovely and light smoked, perfect for a light dinner.
The King Edward pork chop is flavorful and cooked right , so is the tuna jaw. The side skirt is just ok. The sticky toffee is sublime. The portions are great for sharing. Would definitely come back!
Bonifacio Global City exemplifies modern city living in the Philippines’ metropolitan city of Manila. The playground of the finance district, sees a once military site owned by the United States of America flourish into a haven of high rise office towers, high end retail which they describe as “the perfect marriage of form and function”.
Best resto in bgc. Some new menu items are a bit hit and miss, and prices are creeping up a bit much. But still beat service and most consistent good food in bgc.
First time to try Savage tonight. The service and food was great. The server assisted us gave us recommendations and explained each dish served to us. We had the carabao cheese for appertizer, really good, main course was the beef short ribs with kimchi super yummy. The beef just fell of the bone. I surely will recommend this place.
Good food with a creative way of doing the usual dishes. The restaurant is always lively and packed with people after work. One of the better restaurants situated in Arya Residences.
Savage is Chef Josh Boutwood's restaurant in BGC. While prices look high, serving quantity is quite large. Best to go in a party of 4 or more.
We started off with a couple of Joe's Brew craft beers - Meet Joe Black and Savage EPA. Along with Bread & House Butter and Straciatella, olive oil & capers. Nicely toasted fresh bread and butter with herbs & spices.
Our main was Chicken, Radish & Holy Basil. A large dish of erfectly grilled chicken with pickled radishes in a really tasty sauce. We got sides of Roasted Potatoes with cheese & parsley (wasn't good) and Grilled Corn with harissa & garlic emulsion (excellent)
Our dessert, Kladdkakka, was a rich Swedish chocolate cake with vanilla cream (yummy!!)
Personal favorites were the bread, carabao’s milk cheese (must try!), devilled eggs, and tuna jaw. Having their own signature beer was a nice touch - and it was pretty good too. I was just hoping to see a cocktail list as well because the beer tends to be a little heavy paired with their generous servings. Serving sizes are daunting for two (but would definitely be great for group dining, so nothing wrong there!) Only thing I had a problem with was the overall ambiance. When the place is full, it gets quite loud with sound bouncing all over the place from guests and the kitchen put all together. Food is definitely worth trying though!
Great service, good drinks, good food, love the simple menu. Good for groups of 3-6, any more than that is a little tight because of the small space. Order everything except the liempo, because you can eat that kind of grilled pork at home. 😂
