One of the best meals out we’ve had in a long time. Love everything we ordered: the barramundi with preserved lemon and arugula, burrata with heirloom tomatoes, grilled corn with harissa, and savage rice. Can’t wait to be back!

Food is very good, but a little expensive. Prices could be better. They definitely need more staff especially in the kitchen, as the wait times are ridiculously long. They were clearly understaffed when we went and you could see the staff there scrambling to get the orders out, but it was too much for the few of them.

I honestly think Savage is an underrated restaurant. I order the Tuna Jaw/ Collar every time I visit - it's just sublime, perfectly smoked and very moist, one of the best executions I've seen. The tuna tartare is also lovely and light smoked, perfect for a light dinner.

The King Edward pork chop is flavorful and cooked right , so is the tuna jaw. The side skirt is just ok. The sticky toffee is sublime. The portions are great for sharing. Would definitely come back!

Bonifacio Global City exemplifies modern city living in the Philippines’ metropolitan city of Manila.   The playground of the finance district,  sees a once military site owned by the United States of America flourish into a haven of high rise office towers, high end retail which they describe as “the perfect marriage of form and function”.

Best resto in bgc. Some new menu items are a bit hit and miss, and prices are creeping up a bit much. But still beat service and most consistent good food in bgc.

First time to try Savage tonight. The service and food was great. The server assisted us gave us recommendations and explained each dish served to us. We had the carabao cheese for appertizer, really good, main course was the beef short ribs with kimchi super yummy. The beef just fell of the bone. I surely will recommend this place.

Good food with a creative way of doing the usual dishes. The restaurant is always lively and packed with people after work. One of the better restaurants situated in Arya Residences.

Savage is Chef Josh Boutwood's restaurant in BGC. While prices look high, serving quantity is quite large. Best to go in a party of 4 or more.

We started off with a couple of Joe's Brew craft beers - Meet Joe Black and Savage EPA. Along with Bread & House Butter and Straciatella, olive oil & capers. Nicely toasted fresh bread and butter with herbs & spices.

Our main was Chicken, Radish & Holy Basil. A large dish of erfectly grilled chicken with pickled radishes in a really tasty sauce. We got sides of Roasted Potatoes with cheese & parsley (wasn't good) and Grilled Corn with harissa & garlic emulsion (excellent)

Our dessert, Kladdkakka, was a rich Swedish chocolate cake with vanilla cream (yummy!!)

Personal favorites were the bread, carabao’s milk cheese (must try!), devilled eggs, and tuna jaw. Having their own signature beer was a nice touch - and it was pretty good too. I was just hoping to see a cocktail list as well because the beer tends to be a little heavy paired with their generous servings. Serving sizes are daunting for two (but would definitely be great for group dining, so nothing wrong there!) Only thing I had a problem with was the overall ambiance. When the place is full, it gets quite loud with sound bouncing all over the place from guests and the kitchen put all together. Food is definitely worth trying though!

Great service, good drinks, good food, love the simple menu. Good for groups of 3-6, any more than that is a little tight because of the small space. Order everything except the liempo, because you can eat that kind of grilled pork at home. 😂

We were a big group (18 guests). We ordered Devilled eggs, Cured duck breast, smoked crab for starters. Then we got the Manila Clams, Barramundi, King Edward Pork Chop, Flank and Ribeye for mains. For sides, we had Roasted Potatoes, Savage Rice, Charred Leeks, French Beans and Grilled Corn.

All dishes were very delectable, especially the Manila Clams (the bread soaking in the soup was iresistible), Barramundi and the RibEye.

Had a few things, the beef tartare and the fresh cheese to start. For our mains we had the octopus, the tuna jaw, and the pork chop. The beef tartare was fantastic, it had a great smoky flavor despite being raw, it's very reminiscent of sashimi. The bread they give with the tartare and the fresh cheese is great, crusty on the outside while being spectacularly soft on the inside. And it's got a great char and smokiness, which is a recurring thing here. The cheese was a bit ordinary, it was good but it's nothing too different from the usual. As for the mains, the tuna and octopus were both outstanding. The tuna is a very generous serving, it can easily feed 3-5 people, you really have to break it down though as there's meat hidden in all these nooks and crannies. The octopus was wonderfully tender and flavorful. The pork chop I'm not so hot on, as it felt quite ordinary, it's like something I could get anywhere else.

Definitely a good place for special occasions, would go again.

3.5. We liked the cured duck salad. The lamb chops had too much fat to our liking. The half chicken was also tasty but the chicken meat was a little mushy. Nice cosy ambience.

The Damage (no drinks): Php 2-3k for two

Sleek hip eatery in the Arya condo at BGC. Cuisine leans Australian drawing inspiration from wood fire grilling. We recommend the Charred Romaine salad and the Kladdkaka dessert

~~TRY😍:
// Charred Romain, Anchovy Garlic Dressing
// Flank, Ash, Charred Ramp
// Grilled Corn, Harrissa
// Kladdkaka

Try out majority of the main courses. It's worth the gastronomical investment. Go for the Flank, Pork Belly, and Chicken and forget everything that happened this week.

I recently ate in Savage with my family a few days back and I would say that the food's amazing. I first thought that the limited amount of meals on the menu was depressing to see but that just changed once I had my first bite.

I would say that there may be many that can cook but there are only a handful that can CREATE. You folks create and make your dishes absolutely outstanding.

Not outstanding in a "Wow it's good" way but more of like "Hey! This looks special. Oh my. I'm in heaven."

My only problem with your restaurant was your extra thick lamb chops. The slices were too thick therefore making the meat not tender.

My mother slices them thinly and they turn out to be as soft as marshmallows because it wasn't cooked for too long and the heat permeates the meat easily therefore not leaving any part of it raw while maintaining tenderness.

Will come back again. I just wish that it was nearer to my place so it could be my go-to restobar.

Upscale Al Fresco at Arya Plaza : 5 Restaurants you shouldn’t miss in Arya Residences. written by HungryTravelDuo. Food parks, food halls and food hall-type experiences are all the gastronomic rage nowadays, and all prime places are following suit. Makati has several food parks, and I’M Hotel has its own food hall buffet experience. Vikings launched The Alley in UP Town Center, with the same type of setup. Various hotels have also picked up the trend. Now, for those frequenting Bonifacio Global City, you’ll be glad to know that one of the scene’s top-caliber dining experience has come to a place near you!

Review as of July 2018

Since its doors opened in April 2018, I have been looking forward to dining here at Chef Boutwood’s newest restaurant. Savage boasts of its defiant approach to modern grilling by eschewing modern technologies and know-how and instead relying on “pre-industrial” open-fire grilling cooking techniques and raw chef instinct making each dining occasion a bespoke experience.

Truly enjoyed dining here 😊

Here's a list of the dishes I've tried here, recommendations are marked with a star (⭐)
- Devilled eggs, smoked oil, and ash ⭐
- Smoked Crab, potato, and flying fish roe
- Barramundi, arugula, preservered lemon and olive ⭐
- Pork belly, cola, and pineapple ⭐
- Kladdkaka
- Lemonade

Hard to get a table, but food was great and will be back. Especially liked the tuna jaw and the steak. Service needs some work, as not very knowledgeable and either ignore or too attentive. But hopefully just teething issues.

The food was excellent. We had the tuna, chicken and pork for mains and a variety of appetizers which were very original and excellent as well. Total bill for 12 people and drinks was only about P11,0000 for lunch.

New restaurants are popping up left and right all over Metro Manila. Familiar local concepts, sought after international franchises, and many more new players are out there trying to get their fair share of Manila’s ever-growing hunger for good food. In this edition of EATSplorations, we will be sharing about a new local restaurant called Savage in Arya Residences, BGC. Savage is the brainchild of Bistro Group’s Corporate Chef, Chef Josh Boutwood. Chef Josh, who is a Filipino-British chef, thought about doing something out of the box. With Savage, he challenged himself to think and do something that can feed both his personal desires and his diners. Keep on reading to find out what makes Savage your new go to restaurant in BGC, enjoy!
