Pancake House

Arrived at waltermart around 430pm so decided to have an early dinner i ordered the house special set my wife and mother in law ordered the 2sets for 390pesos the last time or couple days its only 370pesos we also ordered clubhouse sandwich and 3pcs banana walnut pancakes. Food tasted good. Place need some renovation even the aircon, chair and ceiling need to be replace. Service is ok.

I love Pancake House's current corporate initiative to focus on creating a personalized customer experience. Whether it is in answer to the presence of IHOP in the Philippines, or simply part of the dawning realization among Philippine businesses that differentiating through customer focus generates more repeat customers and ultimately more profits, they got me hook line and sinker.

They call me by name, they greet me "welcome back" (I think they do this for everyone, though - a clever way of conditioning customers), they politely check if I need anything else (I don't even mind that they do this with an upsell for other items in their menu), and the best part is they make me feel that their interest and concern are genuine!

I can't rave enough, I mean I already love the Pancake House franchise for sentimental reasons - as it is so indelibly tied to my memories of slow weekends after swimming classes - and I feel comfortable in the warm homey feel of each outlet - with the booths, the movie posters, and a constant stream of music from movie soundtracks (on my last visit here I heard songs from "10 Things I Hate About You", and "50 First Dates").

On top of that, the entire menu is comfort food of consistent quality (take that IHOP's soggy waffles!).

Whenever I go here, I always order:

1. Pan chicken - i just love their chicken with lots of gravy on the side. The chicken is really juicy and the skin is crispy. But what makes it special for me is the gravy 😋

2. Potato salad - i love potato salad, its not heavy on the mayo, just enough for my taste. With gelatin and eggs on the side

3. Salisbury steak - if I don't feel like eating chicken, I usually order this. The gravy that they use for chicken, they also use it, maybe that's why I like it. The beef patty is really juicy.

4. Waffle - any flavor of waffle will do. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

5. Country sausage - its only 4 small pieces but I really savor each bite because its juicy and tasty. So I always order this on the side

The place embibes a homey feeling. It makes you want to come back. Whenever I dine here, its usually with my family.

Every Saturday Mom and I tried to try breakfast places but since she has work, we opted to go to Pancake House which is a 5min walk from our place.

I was amazed that even though its breakfast time, there's not much of customers when we visited. We got to choose our perfect spot and had a peacful and comfortable dining experience. The staff accommodated us warmly and helped us choose our food.
And then the waiting game begins.

Mom and I got the Perfect Match (P249) served with 2 strips of bacon, 2 have it your way eggs, hashbrown and toasted bread for our main platter. What I love about this dish is, the BACON and Hashbrown, I love how crispy the bacon and the toasted hashbrown is love!

We also got Warm Bacon Potato Salad (P164) for starters since we always love indulging ourselves with good food and because it has bacon in it and I was craving for potato salad.

The experience was okay, that we're able to enjoy Pancake House to ourselves and we got to feed ourselves with good food. Shell out cash is around P800-P1,000, serving was big but nothing enticing to the eyes.
