I initially thought that Tapsi ni Vivian is a fairly new entrant in the restaurant scene. However, I recently found out that Tapsi ni Vivian had already been around for decades so that came as a surprise to me when I found that out.

I've heard this place as a house of the best tapsi in town which brought the urge in me to try their best-selling-tapa and I wasn't disappointed. This is the best tapa that I've ever tried so far! The tapa is well marinated, you can taste the savory flavor that compensates well with their super garlic-y garlic rice! ♥️
My first dine here it was a mother's day. The place was full and honestly I didn't like the taste of their tapa. Maybe it was just because the cook has been inconsistent with the spices and amount of condiments of the food because of the volume of people that night. The second time that I got here, was just a normal day. Not too many people and not crowded. The tapa was really good and a good thing that i ordered tapa again because my brother said that what we tasted for the first isn't the taste of the tapa of Tapsi ni Vivian. The place was actually very nice especially the seats at the side of the store. The setting of the chairs inside were like Mang Inasal's but brighter
I tried their food, and they test great. Open air with a decent feel of the Filipino cuisine. Though the food is great, there are times, based from the other reviews, that the food is reheated, but it is somehow normal to some restaurants. I have been to many types of restos, and this is an exception. Though the food is good, it would be better if they make it as fresh as possible, because from their pricing of food, it differs from the places I have gone through. Overall, food is great if new and worthwhile.
This was the first Tapsi ni Vivian we tried. Overall, the food was good, but sometimes their lomi/mami/soups were too salty. Their place was also nice. 😊
Friday at 3 pm was an opportunity for us to dine in to this new tapsihan since it is always full during dinner time. Other than the usual silog meals you expect, they offer different varieties of food which is not posted on the menu. Price is right and service was fast, hopefully not because there only a handful of customers at that time. Food is great especially the tapsilog. The chichasilog which i ordered was not crispy as I expected. The place is clean and presentable, not what you expect from a typical tapsihan. Overall, we'll definitely will come back.
The newly opened Tapsi ni Vivian at Mindanao Ave. is what you can describe as cheap and satisfying. Their bulalo is one of the best, but there was one time that we had a problem because they ran out of food. Can you even believe it? Instead of giving what we wanted, they gave us a different order without notice. Just don't go there around midnight, all the staff are exhausted and cannot accommodate customers properly. It left us slightly disappointed.
I would say that this is the tapsihan for tourists. The place is very presentable with it's clean indoors, parking, great lighting. The price of the food will of course compensate. If you're looking for a cheap late night meal, there will be other places for you nearby. It would be great though for those that are not used to not so clean places to eat. :)
