Line was long but we still got a table right after ordering. I haven't tried any other dish here yet because I love their Gyudon - one of the best I've tried so far. Plenty of serving too. What I also love at Marugame Udon is you can add sides like ebi tempura (around 60pesos per piece). Affordable and very tasty Japanese food.
Best branch ever! (For me) ☺️ Mas tahimik ang place, and hindi masyado oily at malansa ang foods compared with other branches
One of this year’s biggest franchise success is Marugame Udon. It now has 13 locations and more to come in different malls and commercial areas. All stores have queues, so patience is needed when waiting for your turn.
Last night, I was hungrier than usual and so I got three items just for myself. I had the best seller in Teriyaki Chicken and Beef Yakiniku, spicy Curry Udon and a sizable side dish in Vegetable Tempura for just Php 60!
It is easy to understand why this concept is flying. Marugame Udon serves affordable and authentic tasting Japanese in generous portions. I can see myself coming back soon, with or without the lines.
Writing this review to commend the staff at Marugame Udon UP Town Center for their excellent customer service. They wasted no time assisting me and replacing my meal after I inadvertently dropped my bag on the table, breaking one bowl and spilling my food. They replaced my udon even if what happened was not their fault at all. Thank you so much!
Beef Ontama Bukkake
- masarap ung soup manamisnamis. Di ko sure kung pwede magpa extra soup. But if yes next time magrerequest ako kasi mejo konti ung sabaw.
- ung meat malambot and malinamnam hindi masyado madami taba.
The best gyudon I’ve tried so far! I also liked their chicken karaage, ebi tempura and their chicken paitan udon!
For the rice meals, it tasted great but typical for me I would say you could get the same taste if you eat in tokyo-tokyo. For the udon, i tasted the curry. It was good. The price was slightly less than ramen restos. Nothing over Php 300.
What I ordered:
Beef Ontama Bukkake Udon (regular)
Pork Tonkatsu
The udon was great, tasted just like what I usually have at their Glorietta branch. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the soft-boiled egg was perfectly cooked.
I was really disappointed by the pork tonkatsu. The meat was very thin and dry, not at all juicy. Didn’t expect this quality since I usually love to order this at their Glorietta branch.
