Punta Mandala is a great place to chill if you want great food and good music. Tuesdays are the best listening to The Twist! Can't wait to bring friends over to watch them!

PuNta is such a nice place to hang out. The location is easy to find. Located in Mandala Park, Shaw Blvd. Live bands every night, no door charge, generous space for parking, great food and drinks and the price? Totally affordable. I like the vibe of this place. There’s more room to dine as they have 4 options. The Al Fresco, The Sunken Lounge, VIP and the dining area. Walking on a red carpet once you enter, it felt like you’re kinda a celebrity or probably because there’s just the owner Paolo Bediones who welcomed us very warmly. While explaining the menu, you can really hear his passion for running this business. Once called Punyeta, as his outcry during the difficult time in his life, he started this business to make him feel good and be busy with more important things rather than think about the negativity in his life. And he actually did a pretty good job of running this restaurant with his siblings.
Nice that the place is spacey. Bands play regularly so you check which genre the band is at a specific day. (I think Thursdays are for throwback). Food is also delicious. A bit pricey for regular visits. Cocktails are only so-so.
Went here with my friends and we went here out of curiosity, but when we got here we enjoyed the live band (they were a Japanese band playing metal) together with the drinks, staying inside was a bit of a struggle since t'was too dark so we moved out side which was a lot better.

Didn’t try their food yet but we drank here, the place is big. The indoor is kinda dark but the outside doesn’t look crowded so it’s a chill place to hang out and drink. What I remember is they have 5+1 bottle promo which is about Php 250-300.

Seen this place in one of Zomato's recommendation and considered it on our Fridate!
Arriving at the place it seems relaxing and browsing the menu I was confused what to try first since there are lots of good item on the menu
So we decided to order the must try like nachos mexicana (my favorite so far) fried tortilla topped with Jalapeño , quesadilla and lots of cheese uuhhhhm great combo!
Then we had beef burrito ala chimichanga (fried) savory beef, annato rice and silantro envelope in a crispy fried burrito wrapper topped with jalapeño and red beans really good!
Then the main course Plato asado breast Chicken Barbecue soft, sweet and savory with silantro sauce of course Annato rice with grilled corn indeed a full meal.
Trying their desserts churritos as the name implies bite size round churros crispy outside and soft inside though it lacks the sweetness and churros like feel I'm looking for even the chocolate dip well just the usual chocolate sauce.
Over all I'm really amaze how this place can serve good food and maintain a great music and good vibes really a nice place for a gimik!
The Nachos Mexicana from Punta, which is a bar in the Mandala Park area, was really good. Shying away from the usual nacho chips that you'll get from bars, they used fried tortilla chips. The chips were topped with Picadillo which was made of ground beef that tasted like the the meat in Arroz a la Cubana and Pico de Gallo or salsa which was made of fresh tomatoes, onions, cilantro and lime juice. There was an hefty serving of the toppings!
The Punta Burger was equally good. Made from 100% Beef Sirloin patty, it had caramelized onions, a bed of crisp lettuce, tomato slices and fried egg on a Spanish Broiche Bun. The bun was a little toasted at the bottom, which I liked, and held the meat and egg well. I also liked that the fried egg was runny. The fries that it came with though was a let down. I didn't like their signature "8 Spice Blend" since it gave a really strong odd taste and smell for me. There was too much of it in the fries.
Their food is great. Love their chicken. Couldnt remember what dish it was called lol and also their nachos. Their chips were tortilla chopped into small triangles but it fitted their toppings. Love their food. Thumbs up!
The food here is one of the best ive had, I can brave the traffic all the way to Mandaluyong just to enjoy food with friends on a cool weekend evening. Start off with the Aticuchos of skewered chicken heart or liver and the Quesdadillas (they use grilled tortilla), for the mains..the Plato Asado Pork Belly does not disappoint and the Lo Mejor (oh my) is a heaven sent dish of Braised beef shank, cheeks and lengua in thick tomato sauce, never fails to heat things up. For dessert, try the Churriots with Dulce de Leche dipping sauce. Its a resto-bar so expect the same ambiance during evenings especially on weekends. The cocktails look promising, may try those on my next visit. Parking is available. Two thimbs up🖒🖒
Since were around the corner we decided to try this place as it was previously owned by a friend. For appetizer we got Quesadilla (Jalapeno Poppers) this bad boy is not your average quesadilla 😋😋😋 for the main course we ordered beef burrito serving is big enough to feed 2 people another winner.
My only gripe is the service 😞 it took couple of minutes (more than 15mins) before our food was served.
Over all great food, awesome ambiance will definitely come back for more!
Okay, okay, let me make a confession, I'm a good girl and had always been one, but of course I do have flaws in my character at times and one of that is uttering a bad word. Consider "a" when I say that I did curse. But the only bad word that comes out in my mouth is the word "puñta," and only when I'm angry.
