I’ve been looking for a place around here with decent lobster quality & this place did not disappoint at all. Quite possibly the best lobster roll & especially lobster grilled cheese we’ve tasted this far. For a second, it made us forget we were in the PH & sent us back to Pier 39 lol.
Order:
- Lobster Roll 5/5 (Flavor is bomb. They didn’t skimp out on lobster pieces nor sizes. The bread is delicious & so stuffed that the lobster barely fit 😍)
- Lobster Grilled Cheese 5.1/5 (Prob our fav. The cheese is delicious & great quality. Not like eden or something lol. & the lobster tastes delicious. Ugh)
- Garlic Noodles 5.1/5 (These mfs taste FIRE. We barely had them on our tastebuds & we were already in love. Omfg)
- Crab Grilled Cheese 3.5/5 (This was ok. If you’re trying to save money but still want to try something out, this is still good to try! But the lobster ones are just next level)
Y’all betta order those first 3 I mentioned & have ur minds blown lol.
I decided to try the garlic noodles here since everyone has been raving about them. They were super good! It's a really good steal at the price as well. The noodles were cooked perfectly and they had a nice sweet and savory flavor to them. I can't emphasize enough how good they were. This is one of the cheaper but most delicious dishes they have at The Grid. 🥰
Can’t The Grid without ordering anything here. Favorites are the grilled corn, noodles, avocado toast!!!!, and crab grilled cheese or crab roll. SARAP!!!!!!!
Bun Appetit for the family is synonymous with Lobster Roll.
On our first visit at The Grid some moons back, this was the first stall we tried. The hefty price tag was expected. After all, you will be eating lobster which is well, usually exorbitantly priced.
Fast forward to a few days ago, found myself at Bun Appetit again eager to reconnect with my lobster craving...
The Powerplant Mall has been our go-to destination ever since my cousins, sisters and I were growing up, and as the years went by, so did it grow... Literally! Now, the mall features a new extension, and with it, a posh food court by the name of The Grid Food Market. Curious with their offerings (and because I've heard about a delicious but pricey lobster roll from my aunt), I checked out the stall in question.
Bun Appetit, aka Stall 11, features the goodness of seafood, from fresh crabs to lobsters, shrimp and more. These are the goodies we tried out:
🦞 Lobster Roll (₱695): the very reason we headed here in the first place, these rolls feature hotdog buns brushed with butter on the sides, along with a helping of equally buttery pieces of lobster in between. Although not a replica of the rolls I've enjoyed in Japan and Hong Kong (since those have really large, juicy pieces of lobster), this one is a clear contender that comes close.
🌽 Grilled Corn (₱170): being a big fan of corn, I couldn't let this chance pass up. Their corn, unlike most generic buttered ones, comes with a refreshing touch of lime that really works well with the smoky grilled flavors and the natural sweetness of the corn. Overall, it's a complex mix of flavors that's addicting.
🍝 Garlic Noodles (₱150): another side dish that I'll miss (because my sister finished most of it and didn't share 🙄), these thin, garlicky noodles are deliciously cheesy and greasy, good ol' fun. It's like instant noodles, only fancier and not processed.
