AMBIENCE
We walked by the place twice and I just realized it looked like a fancy canteen or pantry. They had everything sorted out by cuisine like Filipino on the left, Chinese towards the middle, and junk food on the further right. Pinks and greens of the interior felt relaxing and inviting plus the foods were colorful because of the variety they offered. Fruits, concentrates, veggies, fishes, salads, sandwiches and brown rice were the most noticeable but they also had the tempting stuff like potato chips, loads of candies by the cash register (heads-up for parents), and humba among meats.

FOOD
Because I'm a good boy, I got myself some sinfully tasty humba with mildy sweet banana slices, and the serving was as satisfying as the flavor and fat-to-meat ratio. Brown rice was the default choice for staple food, though I'm not sure if it's the only rice option. Rice was actually on display with the viands, but NO, our server got ours straight from the rice cooker! (tears of joy) We shared some delicious chopsuey with a crab stick twist and fresh n' crunchy veggies. Fish was a bit dry but far from oily.

Overall, dishes were pricey but we got what we paid for in terms of flavor and quantity. Health is wealth. Humba!

SERVICE
Quick and straightforward, canteen-style! That rice cooker moment...Thank You!

This is an affordable place in the heart of st lukes hospital and in the busy and booming place of BGC! Our favorite is their BBQ meal and this lechon macau! For 190 pesos its extremely satisfying! So ill rate it 4 on food taste!

Food and portion are never a question. Market has always served the freshest and yummiest dishes eversince. However, being a self-service sort of "canteen", I think it is a little bit expensive. Their ever varying menu is wide and vast - which I love the most, apart from the portions of their food.

This is a Family dining place after checkup. Food is bit pricey for a filipino dish but since its inside St Lukes, I guess It pays the ambiance :).  This is a self service setup when you pay first at the counter but  there are people that would help in serving your food and assist you whenever you need anything.

Affordable gourmet food, for me is the best description of the place. They serve a wide variety of food, from salads, sandwiches, pasta and rice meals, at reasonable prices. Prices are around 80 to 200 for ala carte meals. Food quality is good and choices are not ordinary. Love the waffle sandwiches and the rice meals which are really filling. If you want gourmet food on a fastfood budget this place is perfect.

Not bad for a hospital food hehehe... seriously though it's pretty good. Located in just behind the reception and emergency Market on 5th Avenue boasts a selection of pinoy favorites, chinese noodles and dim sum and a deli style sandwhiches.

I was hungry and in a hurry so I opted for a bowl of shrimp wanton noodles with a side of pork siomai from the chinese stand. Farah had the bacon burger from the sandwhich joint.

My food came out quick and I inhaled it quicker that it took to make it. Noodles were ok a little on the mushy side however the broth beef and veggies were really good. The other only down side was the wanton wrapping very under cooked and chewy. Well for the siomai they were pretry good too. Nothing really special to write about.

Now lets get down to business.... Farah had the bacon burger yesterday and when she got home she was raving on and on about it! She said it was so good that she needed to have it again tonight. Although I was full from my meal I managed to take a bite (or two ;) it was pretty damn good! The bacon, the mayo, the patty all worked real well together. If I could criticize one thing it'd be the bun I would have loved for it to be a little toasted in this instance just to give it a different texture all was sort of mushy together. Nonetheless a damn good burger for 195PHP!

People who frequent St. Luke's Medical Center Global City are probably the few familiar with Market on 5th Avenue. Of the 7 food outlets in the hospital's commercial area, the restaurant has the most extensive menu. It has three stations namely Filipino Favorites, Chinese Chow and Snack Bar.

Both the Filipino and Chinese sections have ready to eat meals, the menu of which changes daily. The dynamic menu is well appreciated by those working at the hospital and long staying guests. It is also a plus for those dining in a hurry as there's no need to wait for food to be cooked.

Both stations also offer dishes cooked on demand. The Filipino menu has grilled options, all day breakfast and merienda while the Chinese station offers dimsum, roasting, rice topping, congee and noodles.

The Snack Bar has a good selection of sandwiches, wraps, pasta, salad and sushi and sashimi plus fruit shakes. They also offer a wide range of cakes, including sugarfree options.

The restaurant has a spacious dining area but it still gets full during lunchtime so best to go early or have it delivered as they do so anyway within the hospital.

Must trys are the crispy tapa and pork barbecue. If you're lucky enough to chance upon it, they do a mean bagnet complete with ensalada.

That the food is delicious is a given. After all, Market on 5th Avenue is part of the Florabel group.
