We were hesitant to have our dinner here at first because there wasn't much people. But good thing I insisted to try it since it's new and it's open 24 hours. We ordered the Kung Pao Chicken (solo) , Thai BBQ Pork Ribs (solo), with Yang Chow Rice (sharing). AND WE DID NOT REGRET IT. I suggest people should try it here. Everything that we ordered, especially the kung Pao chicken, was really really good and satisfying. We also ordered the Kaya Buns and it didn't disappoint us as well. :) will definitely go back and invite more people.

The eatery has the best location in the Cubao area. It’s right beside the Araneta Bus Terminal where human activities are present, 24/7. That’s why management has been toying with the idea of opening all day and all night (I think they’re open 24/7 already?).

And it won’t be difficult for Kopi Chan to entice people to step inside the friendly restaurant for Filipinos have a certain partiality for food prepared by our Chinese, Malayias, Indonesian, Singaporean neighbors.

Who doesn’t like Salt and Pepper Squid? One of Kopichan’s simple comfort food that regulars almost always order. There’s also the (new) Soy Chicken Congee, the Asian counterpart to chicken noodle soup, an American comfort food.

The Beef Rendang, an Indonesian dish, will always be listed as one of my favorites. The Asian Eatery’s version was tender and the taste, very meaty. Another meat dish that caught my attention was the Tausi Beef Ribs. Equally-tender beef ribs seasoned with strong tausi flavor. It was just extraordinary.

On the other hand, there were misfires: The FC Spaghetti (pasta was too soft, sauce too sweet and too much of a Jollibee sham) and Banana Pancakes (not fluffy enough and flour used tasted uncooked).

But still, personally, Kopi Chan is one eatery to go for affordable Asian cuisine in the heart of Araneta Center.

Kopi Chan Asian Eatery is a 24/7 Asian diner in Cubao. While Cubao is the center where different peoples’ lives intersect as they travel from one place to another, similarly, Kopi Chan is the place where different kinds of Asian comfort foods intersect. They serve Chinese, Indonesian, Malaysian, and Indian cuisine. It’s reminiscent of hawker centers, where you can expect good and affordable food.

In my book, Southeast Asian cuisine has one of the most flavorful dishes in the world. The food profile is distinct as well, considering the proximity of each country to one another.

There have been restaurants in the past that have combined the classic favorites of Filipino, Malaysian, Singaporean, Indonesian and Chinese in one roof. Kopichan just opened, and they are challenging the complexity of this concept.

I can imagine the inventory that entails running this store. The spices alone are a stretch to manage- from coconut milk to a variety of chili.

The current menu that Kopichan assembled is likely to change, and one can expect other familiar items to emerge eventually. For now, it was a delightful visit; nevertheless, as some of my all-time favorite meals are present.

The crisp, Kung Pao Chicken, with its savory, sweet, and spicy characters, is a must-order. Pairing it up with Yang Chow Fried Rice gives you a certified Oriental treat.

Tausi Beef Ribs and Beef Rendang is not the usual match, but they co-exist here if you love meat. Coconut Rice is an ideal company for these two.

If poultry is your thing, the well marinated, Soy Chicken is available. It can be in the form of Congee as well.

Don’t forget to have KC Chopseuy alongside your mains. This colorful platter will bring both health and color to your Asian feast.

Although it’s mostly a family-style setting in Kopichan, there are solo meals for you. I recommend the Indonesian Nasi Lemak, either with Beef Rendang or the Charsiu Belly.

There are snacks too. KC sweet style, Spaghetti will be a sure fire hit with the kids. Bring in the packed bite in KC Clubhouse for a more satisfying merienda.

Finally, for desserts, go for the Mantao Buns! It’s usually just a fried bread with condensed milk. Kopichan’s take is extra yummy with kaya filling.

There is the Banana Pancake to grab too! Expect fluffy pancakes flooded by peanut butter, topped with bananas.

Kopichan is located at Shopwise Araneta, Cubao. They have six parking slots in front of their establishment.

This is a newly opened restaurant in Shopwise, Cubao. This restaurant features different Asian cuisines and comfort food, and has that ambiance same as the other Asian eateries.

Service is satisfactory and the staff are easy to work with. The place is pretty spacious too and I was amazed that this restaurant/eatery is also crowded by customers. It is open 24/7 and it's easily accessible since there are bus terminals nearby.

We tried several dishes here:
Salt and Pepper Squid - salty and crunchy squid, spicy on some parts. It was a good appetizer but can be paired with rice as well It should be eaten right away or it'll get chewy.

Beef Rendang - tender and slightly spicy beef. savory and you'll need rice to pair it.

KC Spaghetti - they used cheese curry to top the sauce. It was a bit sweet as well but not too sweet like the Pinoy style spaghetti.

Rendang Eggs - 3 piece boiled eggs swimming in Rendang sauce. They also have

Gravy Eggs - for this one, gravy is used but I like the Rendang Eggs more.

They even have a breakfast meal with a touch of Kopi Chan (called Nasi Lemak) like your classic silog meals with Beef Rendang or Char Siu Belly.

For a sweet treat, I recommend the Fried Kaya Buns and the Kaya French Toast.

Cubao in Quezon City is a hustlin’ and bustlin’ place with various malls, shopping centers and bus stations in the vicinity. Well, there’s a piece of good news for the hungry shopper or commuter in this area as a new and exciting restaurant just opened last month. KopiChan translates to “coffee eatery.” It’s a place to have a sip of coffee while munching on some tasty and affordable Asian dishes.
