To dine out means to eat away from home. But it does not require eating expensively and uncomfortably. That is why we chose to have our Chinese New Year dinner at the recently opened The Old Spaghetti House at the Barrington Place in Congressional Avenue. If you have been following my previous blog project called Dine Out, you’ll see the list of various restaurants I have tried. But I must say that, this one is exceptional. The Old Spaghetti House offers great food and a positive ambiance.

T.O.S.H at barrington place is a nice spot to chit chat with friends and family. It's very cozy and i didn't feel the rush of friday night. They have low ceiling, average amount of lighting (enough to make you feel warm) and they also have lushly upholstered chairs (unfortunately not seen in photos). We ordered nachos, seafood alfredo, seafood pizza, lasagna, tiramisu and coffee. Food came in after 10mins. Their nachos is ok while the seafood alfredo photo will speak for itself. Pizza is good and so is the lasagna. The taste of the herbs are not overpowering, its an even combi of all the ingredients. Only prob is that the pasta is a little chewy, seems like it's been re-heated for a couple of times already. Coffee was served cold so we asked them to re- heat it. Our dessert, tiramisu tastes average. Its pricey for its size. Still, it was a pleasant dinner and will come back to try other dishes. Let's see if my rating for them will change.
