The sandwiches were nice, but just okay. Perfect location at the movies since they make for a good take out meal. But we didn't expect the pho to be great! I liked the flavors of the chicken and lemongrass. Super refreshing and at a reasonable price.
I love this quaint place near the Gateway Cineplex 10. A great place to have a quiet date while waiting for or after a movie.
Their bread is good. Crisp, crusty on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside.
Their pho is a favorite, best paired with a banh mi sandwich and lemonade.
I would often share a pho and a banh mi with my boyfriend, usually for a light snack. It is filling though, and for it's price and taste, you can't go wrong.
I love the combination of sriracha and hoisin sauce. But sadly, they took out the Knorr seasoning from their condiments :(
If you haven't tried this place yet, I suggest you give it a try. And hand me over your cilantro stem if you're not a fan of it. :)
The Classic Banh Mi is a no-frills, surprisingly delicious treat which fills you up. The ham goes well with the cilantro and the vegetables, particularly the cucumber slices. The pho bowl is a good option for those who are freezing after watching a movie at the nearby cinema. Additional points for serving lemonade, my preferred fast food drink, and Vietnamese coffee, which I can't get enough of.
This is my first time to try a different Banh Mi aside from The Banh Mi Kitchen. So, my experience with their Gateway Branch is a bit pleasant. From the Place, its a bit hidden on the upper part of Gateway Mall Cineplex Floor, that explains the relaxing and not so crowded ambiance. The food we ordered: Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi and Lemongrass chicken rice noodle soup is fair for its price, though the Banh Mi lacks the generosity of ingredients, the taste wasn’t compromised and the rice noodle soup has its own authenticity. The staff are polite and easy to deal with. I wish you could visit their branch :)
Food - 4/5
The Lemongrass chicken noodle soup was great and it had an authentic Vietnamese flavor that you will recognize. The Pork BBQ sandwich was also delicious that the pork is tender and the bread was toasted perfectly. The Strawberry Ice for me tasted like the one being sold at McDonald's, sprite with flavoring.
Service - 3.5/5
I think the cashier mistakenly heard a wrong name since when they were calling for my order, someone's name other than mine is being called. 😂😂
Venue - 4/5
The store looks small from the outside but it's not cramped once you get in. It has a very cool ambience and even though it's well lit, it's still has some cold air and is well ventilated.
Value for money definitely. Delicious food. Been here 3x already and enjoyed the experience although once we thought that the baguette was not that fresh but acceptable enough. A more cheerful atmosphere would definitely help.
Try their BBQ and Lemongrass Chicken Bahn Mi. They're absolutely the best! They also had Pho noodles available. They're also very fantastic aside from affordably priced. Nice ambiance, well lighted and comfy chairs. Eat here and you will.come back for more.

We were in Cubao area one time and initially wanted a burrito while hubby wanted a burger. But then I suddenly craved for a banh mi. I checked google and found out about O Banh Mi. I had their Classic overloaded banh mi (140php+) and boy did I love it! Hubby had their Pork BBQ banh mi but both of us agreed that the classic tasted better.
I was going to catch a movie but the queue for tickets was too long so I made a beeline for O Banh Mi instead. Banh mi = better -- not to mention, delectable -- use of my time (Gateway can't deal with weekend crowds, you could end up queuing for longer than the movie you want to watch!)
I made the right decision, ha! I enjoyed my Classic Overloaded sandwich which is toasted baguette with sliced ham, tomatoes, lettuce and other things like yummy coriander! The "overload" part is the liver pate. Go for it!
I washed down my banh mi with hot Vietnamese coffee which comes in a cup, without the usual Vietnamese coffee contraption. I always like Vietnamese coffee.
I'll be back!
