Love the tropical fruit tea. Its the best seller here and one of the best I have tasted in Manila. It contains real apples, oranges, chia seeds and other fruits along with the tea. It's delicious. The salad was fresh and tasty. I would highly recommend this place for a quick snack or a full meal. The customer service was also prompt and attentive. The servers were polite and very positive. Would surely be back.
The food is ok and the choices are pretty decent compared to other cafes. The place is small but has around 10 to twelve tables that can seat two, four if you and your friends are just ordering drinks. The breakfast plates are filling and they have personal size pizzas too. You can park in front of the cafe but it's limited to two cars. There is a pay parking area beside the cafe. Most of their customers are visitors and doctors from the hospital across the street. The place is eerie quiet 😱 😂 I've been there several times at different times of the day and I noticed that if you're there at night, some of the menu items are not available. 😕 Oh yeah, the staff are nice and approachable so don't be shy to ask them for anything. ☺
I grew up having my family spend after lunch coffee sessions at Figaro. My dad and uncles are particular about coffee, and back then it was rare to find a really good cup. Coming from Batangas, my dad and uncles love Figaro's barako gold. Pair it with their carrot cake with cream cheese and pudding with vanilla sauce, this definitely brings back good memories.
Went back today to check out what they now have on offer, and it was sad that they no longer offer the carrot cake (they now offer carrot loaf) and pudding. I was happy to see Pasta A La Carlo was still on the menu so i opted to order this. This pasta dish is simply olive oil, tuna, diced fresh tomato, olives and lots of basil. The one i tried today was a bit more sour compared to how i remember it, and with less basil. There were more tomatoes and add to that the capers which made it on the sour side. Nevertheless it was still good and filling, without too much guilt compared to cream based sauces..
I really miss their old desserts, and wish they can bring it back. It was good to see My Little Oscar still available, that's my aunt's favorite.
