My go-to place for when I'm craving ramen. Servings are big too. Love their sashimi and rolls ❤️
Ajisen Ramen
Ramen wasn't rich but it did supply that umami taste. The toppings were good especially the crunchy vegetables. Portion was also good! Overall still happy with this dish. :)
They have new items on the menu! The spicy wanton is worth getting, great flavor. I like the katsudon and spicy tuna. I think their service has improved a lot. Food is consistent as well
The only japanese restaurant where my husband likes to eat in the area. If you like spicy ramen, dont hesitate to order spicy tantanmen, you wont regret it. As for the rice toppings, it’ll be gyudon all the way and my daughter really likes their tamagoyaki so you might want to try it as an appetizer.
Tried their kon ramen, their spicy tuna, and their agedashi tofu. Their spicy tuna is a bit pricey given its size, well most all of their sushi is kind of overpriced. Their ramen is fine, it's got a good garlic hit which is nice, the cabbage is a bit too chunky, but their chasu is good. One thing I appreciate in Ajisen is that they actually use Japanese rice, and that's not something you always see in Japanese restaurants.
We ordered:
Crunchy maki (which is good) 👍🏻
Ajisen ramen - not bad though lacking some in the taste of the soup. The wheat noodles is perfect.
Katsudon - not bad, however, the Japanese rice seems lacking in water.
First time to try here. Not bad. But we will surely be back.

Food was okay. Nothing extra special. Gyoza is good too. My ramen tastes ordinary. But I might comeback to try their other dishes. I like that they serve us house tea right away.

I've had better salmon sashimi at that price. Same is true for the kani salad. Crunchy roll was okay. Service was a wee bit slow, ambience, just fine.
I would like to commend the friendly staff of this restaurant. Having a school near Banawe, every time I worked myself in school I often go to this place. I usually order the Chashu ramen or Chashu rice bowl. The taste is good although I long for the rich and thick soup base. For dessert, I usually order banana tempura. I love the concept of this dessert because it is not common to see a banana dipped in batter and served with vanilla ice cream.
It was my first time at any one of their branches. Frankly, I had no idea there was a branch near Banawe... But one night, I was out with my then bf and his batchmate for dinner, both Banawe boys at the moment... They were dead set on having dinner here, being bitten by a ramen craving...
I hesitated. I am typically a bit serious when I'm on study mode. I don't like trying new things, preferring to be surrounded only by the familiar to avoid any distractions. Down to my restaurant choices, strict right? But, I think I was in need of a break that night. So I gave in.
This restaurant is located in an area I haven't been to before. But it was a nice, wide place with lots of parking spaces; in stark contrast to the typical Banawe establishment which sacrifices parking.
Upon entering, we were showered with attention by the servers. Wow! Let me tell you the service was on point. The staff were super nice and attentive! My tea cup and water glass were always filled. The food was served in record time. Everyone was all smiles too! Nice!👍
I decided to join the bandwagon and order ramen too... I got the Tantanmen, easy on the spice... The bf and friend had the ajisen and chasu ramen respectively... They also ordered gyoza, agedashi tofu, spicy tuna and dragon roll to start off our meal.
Since I was a newbie, I thought the servings were small judging from their orders... Oh my goodness, was I wrong! There was soooooo much food. We could have fed two more extra people, seriously... I think the two boys realized that they overreached as well when the food could no longer fit a table for four. #duuuuuuuuuuuudddddeeee 😅😅😅
The gyoza was typical, which was okay. I loved their spicy tuna, super addicting... The Dragon roll was also pretty good, but it was really filling... It was made up of ebi tempura, cucumber, and mangoes-- my bf's favorite roll there apparently... I didn't try the tofu anymore, because I needed to save space for my actual order...😅😅😅
Anyway, I liked my tantanmen... It's not Yushoken, but I liked it... Rich, spicy broth with hard noodles and minced pork. I enjoyed it, definitely... I didn't try my bf's ajisen ramen, which had bbq pork, boiled egg and cabbage... He liked it though... Our friend liked the chasu ramen, which was served with torikatsu on the side. We all shared the torikatsu as well-- pretty good... Sooooooo much food!!!😂😂😂
It was definitely not a cheap meal, though I was spoiled by the boys... They always do!❤️ I just think we majorly overordered... You would think we haven't eaten in days...
Btw, not one of us finished our respective ramens. Seriously.
