We celebrated our boss’ birthday there. It was my first time to eat there and I was truly impressed.
Parking - if you’re early parking is not a problem, the parkjng attendant and security guard were very helpful
Ambiance - the open air table area has a garden feel, the tables inside are spread out on two levels, both spacious. The lower level has a beautifully tiled floor, the upper level has wood flooring. The lower level has a brick like wall off to one side and glass windows all around. Illumination was from simple antique style chandeliers and some decorative wall lights. The levels were decorated with European old style plates, some paintings, bookshelves with old edition hard cover Reader’s Digest for a 1970s homey feel. Wooden tables and chairs with padding - very stable. Superb background sounds - very relaxing jazz music. The plates come from different collections... this style was “shabby chic” - my boss explained. It reminded me of antique-style dinner ware and those china that grandparents displayed in their cabinets.
Food - Among all the food ordered, I loved the sinigang na salmon belly sa miso... it had a little amount of vegetables but with ample salmon and full flavored soup. The black paella and seafood paella were both delicious - I preferred the seafood paella with its buttery-feel, and well-seasoned round, plump rice. Other food items ordered were calamares, fresh salad greens, crispy pata, peruvian chicken, and kare-kare... they were all likewise tasty but those mentioned earlier stood out.
Cake - the sansrival was very good with its icing amply covered with ground cashew nuts. This went well with their ginger lily- lemon grass tea. Perfect combination.
Food servers - very attentive and accomodating.
Restroom - clean with a separate area for washing your hands. There was a quaint mirror off to one side where you can check yourself out after eating black paella - hehehe.
Overall, I had a good experience ... it’s like having home-cooked dinner at someone else’s cozy home
Beautiful place (if you like rustic or old house feel), outstanding food, and probably the best sangria I’ve had anywhere. The bagnet sliders are amazing - nicely seasoned, crunchy where it counts, and soft everywhere else. Make sure you have room for dessert!
We had our civil wed here and i love the set up/styling they made for our ceremony & guests tables. They've been very responsive in all our queries, flexible in our requests & very accomodating during the event. I appreciate how they care for the bride & groom during the event (serving us food, refilling our waters & someone is always there to attend to our needs). Our guests love the food too and their sangria is the best! The resto has a homey feel too so i highly recommend it!
