I visited for the first time on a Friday just before 7 p.m. and was surprised that there was not a big crowd.
Service was prompt to take my order and deliver the food, also good about refilling water.
I tried the 8-inch pepperoni pizza (I mean, if a place has pepperoni in the name, it's a must try). The pizza came out in about 5 minutes...a crispy, yet chewy crust on the outside and very thin and flexible in the middle. Plenty of pepperoni and a good amount of cheese.
It was just enough to fill me up and not too much to make me feel overfed.
For 180 pesos, I felt like this was a great deal. I definitely will return.
Apparently, one of the branches of Joey Pepperoni Pizzeria is very near to where I live. Currently, they have 2 branches: one in the Mall of Asia and one along Pioneer Street in Mandaluyong.
Without further blah blahs, here are the foods that we devoured.
Four Cheese Pizza (P370)
Perhaps, this is my most favorite! Composed of Mozarella, White Cheese, Parmesan, Cheddar and Tomato sauce! Sounds good, right?
Chicken Barbeque Pizza (P370)
Mozarella, Grilled Chicken, BBQ Sauce, Red Onion, Cilantro, Tomato Sauce
Still a good one, this is my 3rd favorite pizza.
Spaghetti Meatballs (P225)
Straight Classic Spaghetti and Meatballs
Really good! I love marinara-based pasta and they made this right.
Grilled Chicken Alfredo (P225)
I’m not a fan of creamy pasta. If you prefer white pasta, you might want to try this one. Not saying that this is not good, I just prefer tomato-based pasta. Preferences. 🙂
Banana Nutella Pizza (P140)
Another one of my favorite! Straight Nutella Pizza! My 2nd favorite pizza!
Fudge Brownie (P125)
Classic dessert that anyone should not miss.
Joey Pepperoni aims to show a modern Italian-American flavors at a fair price. And, Joey Pepperoni does not fail in delighting the Filipinos with these flavors. In fact, Joey Pepperoni has already been in the Philippines for so many years now. In this article, I’d like to share my dining experience at the branch of Joey Pepperoni situated at RFM Corporate Center, Pioneer Street, Highway Hills, Mandaluyong. It only underwent renovation to give us a new industrial and minimalist interior design.

Pizza, Pasta, Fries, and Salads, you name it! Joey Pepperoni Pizzeria offers our usual comfort food with relatively affordable prices.
Joey Pepperoni pizzas are served with generous amounts of toppings in a thick pizza crust which has a different kind of crunch. We were able to try the Joey's Supreme, Bianca, and the Meaty Legend. Out of the three, the Bianca was my personal favorite. The Bianca was served with three kinds of cheese (White Cheese, Mozzarella, Bleu Cheese), Anchovies garlic and arugula. For some reason, I love the taste of the blue cheese in the Bianca Pizza. Meaty Legend Pizza (Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Ham) is apt for meat eaters while the Joey Supreme (Pepperoni, Bacon, Mushroom, Bell Peppers, White Onions, Black Olives) is for people who want to eat healthier.
For the appetizers, the mozzarella bites and the pepperoni fries were the highlights! That soft, deep fried italian breading coated mozzarella balls coated with a tomato basil sauce on the side. Mozzarella cheese strings will caught you in every bite. More than this is the pepperoni fries!! The dish was served with freshly cut french fries, pepperoni and cheddar cheese baked until melted.
For the pastas, the pesto pasta had a bold pesto flavor and the chicken parmigiana was literally chicken parmigiana served with pasta instead of rice.
Even for desserts, Joey Pepperoni Pizzeria has their version of Banana Nutella Pizza. Everything with Nutella is love! I wish the pizza had a thinner crust for a lighter ending of the whole.meal of carbs. Haha!
Thanks to foodie, Mary Love Siy, I got to satisfy my pizza and pasta cravings last week. She invited me and other bloggers for a feast, a closer look into Joey Pepperoni's revamp menu. The change was geared towards capturing a sophisticated market of Italian cuisine lovers.
Choices of where to eat abound wherever we go, how does a vintage brand like Joey Pepperoni keep itself above the competition? On this sponsored trip, I realized they so have a strong fighting chance.
I started this gastronomic endeavor with a request from Mary, by saying, I need a bowl of salad. I got their House Salad, to stir my appetite. It is a simple bowl of colorful fresh veggies with well stirred sweet balsamic dressing.
Our next starter, Pepperoni Fries arrived hot on sizzling plate. This novel piece could be a kid's favorite. It has fries, lots of pepperoni meat and generous cheese. It was slightly better than Mozza Bites, another appetizer we ordered.
For their signature Pizza, we got four unique kinds including Nutella pizza for a last filling sweet stop. My favorite was Bianca, a three cheese ensemble of mozzarella, white cheese and aged blue cheese. It had nice contrasting tastes just from its cheeses. It was even made better with its other toppings of salty anchovies, slightly bitter arugula and for a kick, spiced up, garlic. We also got classic Pepperoni and Joey's Supreme, a pizza with a myriad of all sorts in one pan.
Surprisingly Pesto Pasta made the most impression for me. I am a sucker for basil and I was not expecting theirs to be that delicious. It had bountiful pesto sauce and parmesan cheese.
Another pasta worth checking out would be their Chicken Parmigiana. It uses capellini pasta poured with rich tomato sauce, mixed with basil, mushroom and even more juicy tomatoes. Topping this would be crispy chicken covered with cheese all over it. It's also picture worthy!
For a final dish before I gave up and raised my white flag, I tried a speck of their Roasted Rosemary Chicken. This was a bit of a let down for it was slightly bland. The meat however had a nice lingering after taste, thanks to its fresh herbs.
Are you ready to come back and give them a whip again? I suggest taking a trip to Pioneer and get your palates ready for a more interesting Italian vibe here.
Joey Pepperoni is no stranger to me as I've worked with Kettle Foods Corporation before and handled this pizzeria for a short while. I still remember going crazy over its delectable pesto pasta and how I make sure I dine there for lunch every payday. And years and other pesto dishes later, Joey Pepperoni's version still delights my taste buds.
Ordered carbonara, chicken parmigiana and the diy pizza. At first we thought that the serving size of the pasta was small, but I was almost full finishing 2/3 of my plate. The breadstick was soft and thick, I was expecting it to be crunchy, but still good. Overall, we were satisfied with our meal. Specially when choosing our the pizza toppings.
We ordered Four Cheese and Chicken BBQ. We liked both pizza. If you ask for the waiters to give you extra BBQ sauce, they'll give you. :)
Lots of cheese but that much chicken on the pizza. Their dough is between a thick and think dough. That's the only kind of dough that they bake.
We had one of their best sellers which is their FOUR CHEESE PIZZA, PHP 370 (or USD 7.41). The four cheese are mozzarella, white cheese, parmesan and cheddar cheese with tomato sauce underneath all the cheeses.
The first thing I noticed about it is the appearance. The inner crust is thin while the crust edge is thick yet soft with the right crisp. Despite looking like a Neopolitan pizza, the middle of the pie is not wet to the point it can't be sliced for sharing. We learned later on that the crust is part of the change or improvement Joey Pepperoni Pizzeria has undertaken. They developed it through research and development to make their pizzas distinct.
We really like how their pizza tastes. Simply put, it is one of the best pizzas we have tried to date. The combination of the four cheese tasted delicious combined with the tomato sauce. It tasted good even after a long period of time. We can say that since we took our pizza leftovers home.
For those who are price conscious or are street smart, you'll be happy to know that Joey Pepperoni's Pizza is extremely competitive even from the likes of Yellow Cab. The pizza that we had was 12 inches. So if ever you ordered two of it, you'll get 24 inches of this really good pizza at a price point that is still more affordable than Yellow Cab's of the same flavor.
Finally, for those who are can't seem to choose from Joey Pepperoni Pizzaria's array of pizza flavors, they are offering "make your own pizzas." This means you can customize it by choosing the sauce, cheese, and toppings to be put.
Back when we were in college, we used to hang out in Mall of Asia. We go around there eating in different restaurants for our dates. However, for some reason, we never really got to try Joey Pepperoni Pizzeria. For those who still haven’t heard about the restaurant, it is relatively old and is currently on its 11th year. We learned that it used to serve traditional Italian pizza and pasta under the helm of Mr. Joey Concepcion, CEO and President of RFM corporation.
