Friendly crew. Nice interior. Deliciously creamy milk tea. Pearls are good. Would have been a better experience if they add some salty food instead of just sandwiches to compliment their milk teas. :)

A different level of quality milk and tea drinks

Bobaism is a restaurant owned by Key-Innovation Foods Corporation that was established in September of 2018. Bobaism is a local brand which offers healthy , refreshing , fun beverages that will delight customers in every cup of drink served.

Among its offerings are a signature frosted milk drink that originally came from California USA, refreshing milk smoothie, flavored tea, coffee and soon some delicious snacks .

Their first store opened last January 2019 at McKinley Exchange Corporate Center in Makati which paved their way to expand and grow . Last April 2019, they officially opened their pop-up store at Greenbelt 5 and soon at Ayala North Exchange . Bobaism sets to open its ten branches by 2019.

The theme of the store is black and gold to show sophistication despite their budget friendly beverages and snacks . Their interior was made to be cozy to give every customer a feel of relaxation and comfort .

Bobaism was derived from the word “boba” meaning pearls . This cafe offers frosted milk drinks ,flavored tea, fresh tea, iced milk with tea ,and some snacks that are made with freshest and finest ingredients. Their specialty drink is the signature frosted milk which is made from Taiwan .Their products serves in less than two minutes will surely provide quality services that will meet every valuable costumers satisfaction .

I tried their Mango Milk Smoothies last Thursday and I loved it very much ! What makes them different from other Boba Stores is that it was prepared heathy and has the freshest ingredients like the fresh fruits and freshly cooked honey boba that has a uniquely kind of chewiness and right amount of sweetens and most of all the materials they used for cups and lids are made of polylactic acid that comes from starchy plants which is a good substitute for plastic .

Customers will surely enjoy the very welcoming ambience of this cafe paired with delightful drinks and quality snacks .

It was a one of a kind Boboaism experience: They have a variety of drinks that are interesting to try .

Staffs are friendly and accommodating and they have WIFI connection here . Will keep coming back and highly recommended to family and friends . They also provide jenga , chess which you can enjoy indoor games while drinking your favorite Bobaism drinks .

For deliveries , you can order via Food Panda , and soon in Zomato and Grab food .

Want to level up your Milk Tea and Boba experience?

Try Bobaism's Signature Frosted Milk - a refreshing creamy concoction made from fresh milk, caramel, crushed ice and their chewy flavorful honey boba. It comes in 3 flavors, the Original, Matcha and Taro. I love the Matcha Frosted Milk so much because their matcha flavor is sublime, sweet and not too bitter, and the honey boba rounds out the sweetness of your drink.

Aside from the fresh ingredients, what also caught my attention is their use of PLA cups and straws, made from corn! Eco-friendly indeed!

They also feature Tea Lattes and Smoothies. I highly recommend their Black Tea Latte with Coffee Jelly and the Oreo Milk Smoothie.Their version of Wintermelon Tea Latte was a bit weak so we suggested to have a stronger and sweeter brew for this.

Watch out for their Greenbelt pop-up store and a new branch at Ayala North Exchange Mall!

📌 BOBAISM

Ground Floor, McKinley Exchange Corporate Center, EDSA cor Mckinley Road, Dasmarinas Village, Makati City

*Their price point might be on the more expensive end of the milk tea spectrum, as the Frosted Milk drinks run on the P200 price point. In my mind, I'buy a drink with this price if it was really memorable and hit the right notes. If they ask me, a few tweaks for the pricing might not hurt the brand. Maybe P180 max for the large size cup? Just a suggestion :)

As a non believer of trends and an apostle of the classic and the simple.Brown sugar milk drink, milktea craze or even fruit tea frenzy that has an outrageous following in the country now doesn't engage my interest that much.As it became a cliche the appeal to me dwindles down.

Photos of this milk and tea joint flooded the social media sphere, attractive and classy ones. Then an invite came my way.Yesterday I went here without any assurance that this would be a good one because I'm the one person you cannot easily impressed with photos ( food or drinks are for the palate and not for the eyes)or even facade of the place,I always zeroed in the products.

Bobaism took pride in their "honey boba" or sago or pearl, that's where their moniker came from.As I've asked their barista ,the boba came from the motherland of all "boba" which is Taiwan. They signature and flagship drink is the frosted milk made up of fresh milk , caramelized sugar, crushed ice and of course boba. They also have fresh tea, flavored tea ,smoothies and milktea.

Let's review the products.I picked these two as my favorites.

*The Matcha Signature milk frost- with everybody in the food and drink circle have their own version of the Matcha, I don't anticipate much on this item. However when I took the first sip ,a bit skeptical but when I had another it was validated that it has that distinct matcha taste.Just right not too overpowering but I like a forceful matcha flavor, the big merit is that it tastes like the real thing. While the right texture and sweetness of the sago complemented with that vegetal bitter taste of the Matcha. As a purist I gave this one an up sign.

*Black Tea Latte with coffee jelly- As a nomad in Asia I'm always looking for the authentic tea taste ,my favorites are the oolong and the black tea strains. This milktea variant can also be served with the option of "boba" or even pudding. But having them with coffee jelly is clever, and it was reminiscent of the HongKong's "yuanyang" my favorite drink as we served in our lunch joint in Kwun Tong Industrial center.Nice potent black tea taste with hints of earthy ,nutty coffee jelly taste is a nice amalgamation ,great authentic taste.

*Oreo Smoothie-when the word Oreo comes into play one adjective or word instantly popped out of my brain "sweeeeet".Made my initial sip was very pleasant none of that super sweet annoying tingling taste.A good indication that I will like this which I really did.

Price is on the intermediate to a bit higher depending on your budget reference point. The good thing are their ingredients are finely sourced and fresh. No shortcuts were done on the preparation of every drink, they even timed their baristas to ensure accuracy and quality. They even use eco friendly cups and lids that are made from polylactic acid a chemical compound that can be found in starchy plants.

The interior has this allure of subtle sophistication with black hues, dark earth colors ,amber lighting and Chesterfield style seats, simplified with semi industrial adornment.

The location is very accessible if you're coming from Ayala Avenue just went straight to McKinley Drive look at your right it's Telus Building along EDSA,if you're coming from the Ayala MRT station walk straight turn right and you will see the signage.

Bobaism thumbs up!

Visit them and try their products.

Bobaism opened its first branch last January 2019 at McKinley Exchange Corporate Center Makati. They also have a pop up store at Greenbelt 5.

It’s not your regular milk tea place. They offer frosted milk drinks, smoothies, flavored tea made from fresh ingredients.

Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Here’s what I recommend you try;
- signature frosted milk with original honey boba
- matcha with honey boba
-black tea with coffee jelly
- oreo milk smoothie

Their honey bobas are freshly cooked. Chewy in the middle, sweet in the center and soft on the outside.

I also love their sustainability efforts because their straws, cups and lids are made up of polylactic acid that comes from corn. Perfect substitute for plastics!

Price ⭐️⭐️⭐️
- I think because of the fresh and quality ingredients it’s a more premium cafe compared to others.
- Their beverages ranges from 120-200 pesos. A bit pricy as their are some only worth 100 but i think worth trying. They also have some games you can play inside their store.

Ambience/Place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- i love the black and gold theme. I also love their tables but I find the place a bit warm. Maybe because of the lights
- I think you can rent their McKinley exchange branch for your milk tea parties

Really excited for their Ayala North Exchange branch and new items on their menu (hopefully some warm drinks and snacks)
