Everything we ordered was good! A really big fan of their spicy tuna. The double cheese tsukemen was tasty but not really something that I would order again. The matcha ice cream was a downer though.
I personally think the resto should have 3-star rating but service was a factor, earning it 4-stars
The ambiance is reminiscent of old Manila streets, but perhaps tries to portray Japanese street to give a street food vibe. They even put a faux ramen stand and there they display some small bites for take out.
Food s good, I had a spicy Kara tonkotsu, I forgot th le name. Quite filling, the broth is rich and satisfying. However for what its worth, I think the medium sized bowl I ordered is overpriced. It only has one piece of chasu, two pieces of fish cake, and a tiny nori.
Pepper chicken is good but. Othing to write home about. Gyozan the other hand is filled with goodness!
Kudos to our server, Girlie, who introduced their dishes. However I've learned that their ramen is already available for take out! That's not fair, they're veering away from Japanese tradition as they'll be the only ramen chain/Japanese resto that will allow ramen for take out!
It’s bed (bad) weather and you had to run some errands in Makati -this is the place to be. It has cozy interiors that takes you to one of Japan’s Ramen Alley.
We got the Tonkotsu Miso Ramen with additional vegetables, Chicken Pepper Don and Gyoza.
The ramen and gyoza was superb! The kind of gyoza that I’ll be craving for. However, their chicken pepper don was a little bit too peppery for my taste.
I’ll be back to try more of their dishes. Great ambiance, good food and excellent service!
