Been here a lot of times and this resto never fails to amaze us. The waiter suggested to us to get seafood paella instead of paella of the day bec of its small serving. If you’re unsure what to get, ask for suggestions — they never pair to give the best dinner combo..

They also sell tapas & wine which you can consume & bring home (if there’s leftover). Price is a little cheaper than Barcino.😊

There is live acoustic music every night (Wed-Sat) outside the resto.

Good Spanish restaurant in Burgos Circle offering good Sangria and food.

We had a few glasses of good Red Sangria. The complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic goes well with sangria.

Chicken Salpicao was good as was Tortilla Catalana. The latter is a fluffy omelette stuffed with sausage and white beans.

Bistro Madrid Offers great value for Money Spanish Classics that are surefire crowd pleasures. The cuisine they serve treads the fine line of upscale dining and comfort food. I particularly liked their Paella, the rice had the right balance of texture and flavor with generous portions of seafood artfully laid out on top a sea of curry colored rice it’s as good in the palate as it is on camera phones. The highlight of the meal for me was the Cocido bistro Madrid. It’s as if the meat has completely fused with the broth, it’s rich and tasty without losing the kind of balance that prevents your tastebuds from getting overwhelmed. If bu some unfortunate twist of fate you fell into a semi-coma state, I truly believe the broth can nurse you back to health.

One of my favorite spots in the BGC area because not only they are affordable but the service is very good for a low-key Spanish restaurant. I am always here for their wine and cheese platter.

There are many Spanish restaurants in the city, but only a few can represent the authenticity towards its dishes. Bistro Madrid is one of those few and I promise you that once you sink your teeth in one of their dishes, your mind will instantly be transported to the different regions of Spain.

〰️ Chopi-Fritos 〰️ (415 php)
[with vinegar escabeche sauce]

- “ Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I really like how the baby squid was only lightly coated and that the melted blue cheese gives it this amazing burst of flavor.”

〰️ Cocido Bistro Madrid 〰️ (785 php)
[meats + embutido + vegetables + chickpeas]

- “ A simple looking dish yet packed full of flavor. I absolutely adored the chickpeas that came in the stew. It was firm yet soft to the bite.”

〰️ Arroz Al Caldero 〰️ (745 php)
[squid + mussels + fish]

- “ The generous servings of fish, mussels, and squid accompanied well with the perfectly cooked rice. However, I prefer having the risotto itself to have a stronger seafood flavor so that it wouldn’t be too dependent on the seafood elements that came with the dish.

〰️ Callos Ala Penélope 〰️ (445 php)
[tripe + chorizo + chickpeas]

- “ One of my personal favorite dishes. Taste-wise, it was heavenly. The tripe was soft, but what I really enjoyed the most were the little pieces of Bistro Madrid’s homemade chorizo which gave this already flavorful dish, a lot more flavor!”

〰️ Piggy High 〰️ (445 php)

- “A good ratio of meat and fat. Flavor wise, I loved the kick of spice!”

〰️ Terry’s Butifarra Sausage 〰️ (445 php)

- “It’s a lot more meatier than your usual fatty sausage, so it dries up faster. Just make sure to enjoy it while it’s still hot.”

〰️ Leche Frita 〰️ (240 php)
[cinnamon + aniseeds + lemon zest]

- “It’s like deep fried Panna Cotta. I really like how the flavor from the aniseeds stood out, and to accompany it with a bit of sweetness from the melted sugar and a touch of zestiness from the lemon makes this dessert unlike any other!”

〰️ Artisan Ice Cream by Bistro Madrid 〰️

- “Given the fixed Zomato Foodie Meetup Menu of April 15, 2019, this dessert was labeled as, “Chefs Surprise!” and it sure was! The ice cream was to die for. It was somehow chewy kind of like dirty ice cream. The rest of the components that came with the ice cream not only gave it another flavor element, but as well as texture which makes me leaving me wanting for more.”
-
〰️ Signature Sangria 〰️

- “There’s only one word that I would describe their Sangria and that’s “balance”. It’s difficult making a good Sangria, but I would have to say Bistro Madrid has nailed theirs by balancing the alcohol content and fruity notes to this drink.”

Although Bistro Madrid’s dishes may be a tad bit too pricey, they guarantee that their dishes are made from only the freshest ingredients, and of course love. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind with your special someone, or even with your family. They have nothing else to offer but their cozy atmosphere, accommodating service, authentic food, and their finest wines.

Bistro Madrid serves one of the best, if not, the best Sangria. Sweet but not too sweet, playfully fruity and the alcohol, balanced. As a matter of fact, I was on my third glass already without knowing it. That's how good it was.

The dishes served I did enjoy: The Cocido Bistro Madrid, the Spanish stew and the Arroz al Caldero, a slow-cooked seafood risotto (I'm partial to risottos). The sauce was a deliciously creamy and intensely flavorful. One thing I can say is that Bistro Madrid makes a mean Arroz al Caldero.

Both Colgados de Toledo were unforgettable: Piggy High (chorizo Terry flambeed in Sherry Brandy) and Terry's Butifarra Sausage which is a popular Catalonian sausage.

Dessert? There was Leche Frita, a fried delicacy filled with cream, sugar, cinnamon, aniseeds and lemon. The fitting meal ender.

Service was impressive. All servers were on their toes, attentive to everyone's needs and wants.

Bistro Madrid made us experience the unique taste of Spain's 17 regions that made Spain an authentic mosaic of culinary cultures, and flavors.

Service is excellent. They make sure everything what the customer need is always available. We got to try several dishes but these marked my taste buds.

Chopi-Fritos is a good starter. It's not your usual deep-fried baby squid because in their version, they sprinkled it with melted bleu cheese, best to dip with vinegar escabeche sauce.

I also recommend the Callos a la Penélope, and Cocido Bistro Madrid (cocido - mélange of "cooked" meat, embutidos vegetables, and chickpeas). The Piggy High - it's a chorizo TERRY flambeed in Zherry brandy. This one is on the salty side. I like this one compared to Terry's Butifarr Sausage.

For our dessert, I recommend the Leche Frita - fried delicacy filled with cream, sugar, cinnamon, ani seeds, and a touch of lemon zest. Also, do not miss the Mantecado Hellado con Cabello de Angel ice cream. It was the chef's surprise on the menu and it was heavenly, like literally.

A beautiful lunch experience unfolded at Bistro Madrid. It was a hot weekday afternoon when i arrived at their Burgos Circle branch ahead of call time, the first floor serves as the deli / supermarket of sorts with an assortment of cold cuts, wines and other unique finds to create that perfect date night experience at home. The first floor also has limited seating and al fresco dining but for larger crowds, the second floor offers a more relaxed, rustic dining ambience.

While waiting for the other Zomato foodie guests to arrive, we were served Sangria which is the perfect conversation starter. The fruitiness and the wine had the right balance. It was not too sweet. Once everyone was settled to their seats, lunch was served in sequence. I enjoyed the following dishes during our stay: The Baby Squid with Blue Cheese was quite the appetizer. It was soft, with a hint of blue cheese taste on the crust. The dipping vinegar, added another layer of flavor which released the pleasantry of the salty cheese. Eating it on its own without the vinegar was also a treat. The Callos was cooked with the right amount of spices. The tripe was perfectly tender, with no struggle to the bite. The concentration of the tomato was just right. The Seafood Risotto had the right amount of seafood, the fish was perfectly cooked. Mussels opened nicely and the rice was cooked nicely. The flavors came together harmoniously with every spoonful. I enjoyed the fish since it was plentiful on my plate. The traditional cooked chicken was simple, with no fuss. Clean meat taste and the garbanzos was my favorite since it was cooked to a mushy consistency which i like. The chorizo and sausages was presented in a way to elicit wow factor. I enjoyed the sides as well since it paired nicely to the meats. The onion rings had a light coating and the tender potatoes was drizzled with a nice garlicky aioli. Dessert of Leche Frita and home made jce cream was not to be missed. Try it for yourself!

Service was quick and friendly as expected. Be careful with their wine glasses since it is the most delicate i've seen in restaurants. The stems are so thin it can break with the slightest of movement. Overall it was a pleasant dining experience commensurate to the price paid. Stay for a while to enjoy the view and the company you are with or have fun browsing through their deli. I for one have my eyes set on the sausages and other cold cuts on a future visit. Recommended.

Bistro Madrid by Terry's is one of the Spanish Restaurants that deserves to be known because of every dish that will introduce us to the 17 Regions of Spain.

Each dish possess quality ingredients and love for the Spanish food and heritage.

So last April 15, Zomato invited some of its verified reviewers to a wonderful Spanish lunch and these are the dishes we had:

Chopi Fritos - the Squid is well cooked and blends well with the flour and bleu cheese. It is good with or without the special vinegar.

Cocido Bistro Madrid - the meats are all simmered well. The Garbanzos or Chickpeas were chewy and tender, not even intimidating to eat a lot of it 'coz the texture is smooth. The broth is simple but it has a good and flavorful meaty taste.

Arroz Al Caldero - the seafoods does not have stinky taste. Each seafood present was well-cooked, tender and chewable. The creaminess of the sauce adds flavor to the seafoods and at the same time the thickness of the broth is perfect with the rice.

Callos a Penelope - the Ox Feet was not slimey and easy to chew while the Beef Tripe was easy to cut (I do not usually eat this part of beef 'coz the texture kind of sucks but this one is really tender.) The chorizo added a character to the sauce because of its spice. The sauce is really really good, no words can describe it.

Piggy High - the reason why I do not like Chorizo is because I do not like food with too much pepper but Bistro Madrid's Chorizo is a stand out 'coz it is not too peppery. Also, I like this particular Chorizo 'coz it is very tender and does not have too much ligaments or tendons.

Terry's Butifarra Sausage - the Sausage is really filling. Having one whole of this after eating a lot is worth it because of how flavorful it is also the texture -- chewy but very meaty.

Signature Sangria - has a light and citrusy taste. Goes well with any dish.

Chef's Surprise - the desert that was served to us is indeed a great way to end a very festive and fun lunch. The level of sweetness is perfect for a sweet tooth like me and I cannot imagine that bread can be so soft as the one included in this masterpiece.

Staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - accomodating
Ambience ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - stayed at the second floor and it was just way too warm. Would appreciate it if it was a bit colder than room temperature
Food & drinks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had Chopi-Fritos, Paella, and meat & cheese platter. Of course a bottle of wine. Nothing exceptional about their food. Their Paella is okay. Everything is just okay. We like coming to this place because not a lot of people come here. Place is cozy and we love the location.
