Nice ambience, good food overall, service was great, yes abit overpriced but it makes your brunch and morning relaxed with some good family meal. I ordered beef tapa with rice and egg, loved it. My wife ordered corned beef omelette, she loved it too and my daughter ordered choco chip pancakes, she finished it so fast. Hot choco was also very good.
The corned beef are to die for :) very genrous portion at that so the price is worth it!
My family and I recently went there, with the implementation of the new health protocols and practices. All the staff were wearing face masks and shields. They had 2 contact tracing options, written or digital QR code. They don’t have physical menus but have a QR code on the table where you can access the pdf version of the menu. Their adherence with the protocols was reassuring to us, health-wise. The food came in a relatively quick-pace and was absolutely delicious. The only negative experience we had was that whenever we needed something from the staff, we had to have a hand in the air for at least 5 minutes before anyone noticed us, but were quick to accomplish the request.
Came here today as an escape from the quarantine in Metro Manila. The standard social distancing procedures are implemented appropriately, and the staff are helpful in guiding us around.
What I loved about their waffles is that it's not as thick as the usual, which means it's crispy throughout. I think it paired well with the bacon more than the sausage, but that's just a personal preference.
The omelette was generously filled and the feta cheese packs a punch of flavor to it. The hash brown was nicely cooked too, having a crispy shell envelop the mushy insides.
It is also worth commending how friendly the staff was. They are the icing on top of our cake/breakfast haha. Keep up the good work!
I would say, wasn't really impressed by the taste, altho, food presentation was great. Restaurant ambiance, service and even the outdoors were impressive. If you have a balikbayan friend or someone you want to impress...this is the place :)
The One Who Does Not Eat Alone
+4
This is one breakfast restaurant in Tagaytay that has always been our favorite. The portions are big, the selection is wide and the food is delicious. The place
Is always packed but the order of seating is organized. The wait staff are trained and efficient. Special Requests made have always been addressed. The waiter always notifies of the long wait time of food arrival, usually 30-45 minutes while a basket of different large-sized breads slices with butter and choice of jams are given to while away the noisy stomach while enjoying the cool breeze of Tagaytay. We have not had any bad experience here, and needless to say, this will be a favorite breakfast place for us.
What I liked about the restaurant:
-The ambience was great; very breezy and laidback
-Portion of the food is big so you can share it with someone (depending on your appetite)
-Tuna salad
-Reuben sandwich
-House-made pastrami sandwich
-Portobello truffle tagliattele
-Quezo de bola ensaymada
-House-made chocolate that you can buy in grams
-Piyaya (Don’t sleep on this. It’s THE best!)
What I didn’t like:
-Basil tomato soup
-Lasagna bolognaise had a big serving but it didn’t have that tomato acidity that I was looking for and ended up tasting super rich instead of being balanced because all I could taste was the white sauce :(
If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. The food is great and the service is top notch--way too good for just a breakfast place. The Eggs Benedict were perfect, and the pizza and ribs were great. The curry ketchup was a delightful surprise. I recommend anyone to come if they have the time and means.
Food: 4/5
We ordered the following dishes: Croque Madame, Smoked Salmon Benedict, Eggs Benedict with Pancake, and Three Cheese Omelet. Fantastic food and good portion for the price, but somehow all four were salty. The coffee is great though.
Ambiance & Interior: 5/5
Cozy place and the design inside is pretty.
Staff & Service: 3/5
We ate here early Monday morning so it wasn't as crowded as it usually is, but the service was still rather slow. The dessert came first and the coffee came a little later than our food so we had to follow it up. The staff was accommodating but we wish they served faster.
Laid back setting, great meals. many choices available for those who quite choosy when it comes to food selections. Western and Filipino breakfast are all available for one or the group's enjoyment. Sampled a lot of their egg dishes such as the decadent eggs benedict and the rather filling omelet which was like a buŕrito in terms of contents. The tapa was also tender along with white over easy fried eggs that oozed with goodness. Their coffee brew was also quite comforting amidst the breezy december morning. Another must go back place.
Looved all the food especially the basil pesto pasta with shrimp and the clam chowder soup. Everything was flavorful and fresh. Place was cozy too!
Great overall ambience and service! Food’s worth the price :)
