My Thai Kitchen

Location-wise, My Thai is a small hidden restaurant overshadowed by its more famous counterpart Pho Hoa— a Vietnamese restaurant. Since they both have the same owner, Pho Hoa thankfully allowed us order from their Thai counterpart to satisfy both our cravings.

Whenever we’re craving for Thai food, the first thing that comes to mind is Shrimp Pad Thai. Visually, it was lovely, with large pieces of shrimp, saucy noodles topped with chopped peanuts and garnished with greens. As for taste, heavenly. It was a mix of sweet, salty and sour in a blend of authentic Thai flavors. Noodles were springy, the in-between of hard and soft, and each strand was generously coated in flavor.

Definitely a good choice, but this is something to share, since the portions are quite large. 😊 overall a good experience on both service and food. Kudos to the Pho Hoa and My Thai staff!

we ordered:
Crispy cream dory fish with tamarind sauce: sauce works well with the fish. Crispy. Careful though, because they serve it really hot. Haha.

Crispy kangkong: not the typical ketvhup-mayo sauce. The sauce used was vinegar with a bit of sugar, cilantro and ground chicken. (Ininom ko na naman-- noggy). You can ask for extras, but they'll give it to you without the chicken na (I think that's fair.)

Chicken in basil: Chicken is ground. Mixed with some sort of chopped string beans. A bit 'soupy' for me.

Bagoong rice: I'd wish for a bit more cohesiveness of the rice (too.. buhaghag), plus more of the pork and egg. The green mango was really sour :)

Seeing as it was already after lunch, there were still more than a couple of tables occupied. There were only two servers, but they were attentive. Polite, even smiling.

Our office building closes at 8pm so if I need to finish something (which in my case, I never run out of things to do), I always dine and work here.

I always order the following:

Pad see ew - sounds eww? Nope! It may sound eww but the taste is really yummy. With pieces of broccoli leaves which I usually ask them to take it out haha, chicken and egg. It is a combination of sweet and a little salty that I really like.

Fried spring roll with chicken and noodles - it is like lumpiang shanghai but better I must say. You can taste the sotanghon noodles and chicken bits inside paired with their sweet and spicy sauce. It can be eaten with or without rice.

Thai milk tea - no explanations needes here. However , if I order 2 servings of their thai milk tea, tendency is i won't be able to sleep early. So its a risk that I must take haha.

What's good in this eatablishment is you can also order from Jack's Loft and PhoHoa. Same owners I guess, I never took the time to ask the servers haha.

The servers? They are really friendly, most of the time I stay here until 12am for work and they still serve me with a smiling face.

Excellent food. The spring rolls, noodles, chicken wings, fish fillet and fried rice were all worth it. Highly recommended if you want to try something new. Rich asian flavor. 5 stars
