Been curious about this place and decided to try it one night. The staff were friendly and attentive. But no food was a standout for me. Willing to give them another shot. Hope they have a wider range of options
Sometimes you just want to try something other than the ubiquitous ramen places. Enter TaiOne Taiwanese noodles. I especially love the curry beef noodles and steamed shrimp and pork dumplings.
As an added bonus, they sell Taiwanese bakery breads too.
Pretty good. Is there such a thing as too much flavor? Usually for me, not so but this place is someting else. Its like everything is broiled with soy sauce. Still, everything was delicious and the service was also fast.
What we ordered: beef brisket noodle, beef teppan, chicken steak, tong po pork, steamed fish w/ soybean crisp, oyster omelette, panfried pork dumplings, shrimp with egg fried rice, vegetable congee
Loved the oyster omelette, the shrimp fried rice, tong po pork and the vegetable congee. The congee was supposedly for my mom who was watching her salt intake, but it was so delicious that we ordered another bowl for sharing.
The beef brisket noodle had a slightly sweet flavor that was off-putting. I like my beef noodle soup savory, not sweet. The chicken steak was so-so. I was the only one who liked the steamed fish.
The brewed coffee was amazing.
Overall, good flavors, good value, will definitely go back!

I liked everything they served and the authenticity of their Hofan dish. I still want to go back and try their other dishes. I just wished their venue would have more space.
Ambiance is ok
Service is very good
Food is also not too bad especially their congee, tofu is a must try
Price range is somewhat reasonable.
Decent reasonably priced food. Seemed family run that 1st time I was there. Great that they block off part of the street parking for their customers
This place was a pleasant surprise...walked in on a slow day for lunch and found a comfortable, bright and tidy dining area with very pleasant and attentive staff. Reasonably extensive menu ensures there's something that will catch your fancy...basically a Taiwanese beef noodle soup but there is so much more to this place. A quick scan of the menu shows traditional favorites like 3 Cup Chicken (excellent) and Tung Po Pork (amazing) are offered along side Fried Kimchi Pork Dumplings (tasty) and Beef Curry Noodle Soup (very satisfying). Every dish looked moutwatering as they came out of the kitchen and you will realize that they taste even better! Fresh, well cooked, balanced flavours, fair portions and reasonable value (average of 250 pesos per dish). A pleasant surprise, this place quickly climbed up to the top of my list of favorites. Can't wait to go back soon.
It was unexpected. Had a late night dinner at this place. Ordered braised pork rice, beef teppan and tofu. I don't know if I was hungry or the food was good. The beef was very tender. The tofu was good. The braised pork is a signature Taiwanese dish.
Had Sunday lunch here with my family and it was enjoyable. Really reminded me of the Taiwanese food in Taiwan itself. The beauty of the cuisine is that the overall style is homecooking that brings with it the warmth and familiarity of homecooking. One of the key factors of my enjoying it could possibly be the fact that I actually have been to Taiwan and have a reliable expectation not to compare this cuisine to Chinese or whatever.
We ordered the rice toppings, noodles, sizzling tofu, congee, and the dumplings - photos are posted also. We got their hot tea for the drinks, fruit tea and rosehip tea specifically and they were aromatic and lovely.
The food was delicious, the tastes were distinct and crisp. I enjoyed the rice topping (forgot the actual name but it's the one topped with meat in one of the displayed pictures), as the taste was wonderfully mixed with the rice. The sizzling tofu was a delightful surprise as they were able to cook it with the sauce being able to penetrate inside the tofu. One of the things I am wary of when eating tofu is the bland and tasteless center but they were able to avoid that somehow. Possibly with thinner slices that reduces the tasteless part. They even gave the tofu a crisp or crunch when biting its exterior, which I absolutely love.
Worth going, will go back! Good service too, attentive staff. You'll just have to know what to order as some items in their menu is good but not especially noteworthy.
We were in the area, got intrigue with this resto, read the reviews so decided to give it a try. We started with the pan fried dumplings and seafood stir fry noodles, the flat vermecilli compliments the seafood and the sauce, you can tell that it was feeshly cooked. Pan fried dumplings was a standout with right texture and dipping sauce is not that strong. Sausage fried rice was the least that I like I just felt it was too oily. If you are with kids Chicken Steak is must try.
TaiOne is a Taiwanese beef noodle soup concept along Missouri, on the backside of Promenade 2. The menu is a simplified noodle store concept that offers Taiwese and some Chinese specialties like 3 Cup chicken, Okiam chicken, Dong Po pork, and others.
The interiors has a nice, light wood with bottles of seasoned salt on the sides. A modern take on a noodle shop with bamboo/wood in Taiwan. (similar to Kung Fu movies with tea house scenes)
We had a feast on our table for lunch. So here's what we had:
Vegetable congee. Super hot congee that full of vibeant colors from the diced veggies that also adds up texture and freshness to it. Its really tasty even without the meat.
Pork & Century Egg. Porridge with mix of veggies, pork and topped with sliced century egg. Its tasty and well seasoned, it just lacks the richness from the raw egg that is usually cracked on top of the congee.
Three Treasures Noodle Soup. The giant bowl of beef noodle soup was just a playful of flavor and texture. The combination of tripe, tendon, and brisket gave the full flavor of the stock. The stock base was light yet flavorful, from the first sip, you know that theres presence of chinese herbs and spices that gives it a wonderful flavor. The noodles we're obviously handmade, it gave it a nice chewy texture. It's not your usual beef noodle soup.
Tofu & Century Egg. This classic cold tofu salad was given a twist, from the floss toppings, they added some dried fish flakes on top that added more umami flavor to it.
Pork Dumplings. The pork dumplings was like a marriage of the thin, silky, sticky skin of xiao long bao and a light pork & vegetable mix for the filling and was served with black vinegar sauce. It was tasty and light.
3 Cups Chicken. The chicken was nice & balanced. It wasn't dry and overcooked like some do. One thing that lacks for me is the saltiness. It lacks seasoning, especially when paired over rice. Though the fragrance and flavor was there.
It achieved like what the concept says, Taiwan. Taiwan is known for its full flavored Cantonese cuisine and Beef Noodle Soups, which they hit it right on the spot. It maybe hidden from the shoppers of Greenhills, but it serves one of the best beef noodle soups I've had in Manila.

Tai One features Taiwanese cuisine, with the usual assortment of choices in beef, pork, chicken, seafood, vegetables, noodles, soup, rice, and desserts. The menu prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous, fit for eating with a group like friends and family. We had the tong po pork, which was served with rice dough; and the Taiwanese sausage with egg fried rice.
Great food and affordable prices. Although the location is not convenient and is not easily seen by shoppers and passersby . Wouldn't mind coming back.
I've probably eaten here over a dozen times and I just realized that I haven't written a review for this amazing place yet... it's most probably because my subconscious wants to keep this place a secret... hahaha! But today, my consciousness is winning & writing.
TaiOne as the name implies is inspired from Taiwan. Their specialisation is beef noodle soup (& so much more for me). This place is my ultimate comfort food hideaway. When I feel sick, I eat here. When my son was sick, I got take out congee from here. It's even great for after gym food. :)
I absolutely love their Vegetable Congee (P198). It's not for the pure vegans but its lacto-ovo friendly. What sets this place apart from any other chinese restos who serve congee is that their congee is filled with veggies. Glorious amounts of veggies! It also features generous servings of chopped salted egg. For Taiwan-authenticity, it also has oh-tso (sorry, I dont know the english word for this). It's a type of sweet fruit that some Taiwanese restos mix into their congee to give it contrast & flavour.
Another favorite and very good pairing with their congee is their cold tofu with century egg (P168). This protein-rich yet flavourful dish is a perfect combination with congee as it has pork floss topping. A chinese staple pairing with congee ingredient.
Their Beef noodle soup tastes unique, with star anise flavour & oh-tso. Noodles are semi thick, with thick slices of tender beef. Since I dont eat much meat, I can't appreciate this anymore but I encourage you to try it for its uniqueness. :)
Staff are very friendly and service is very fast. Interiors are simple but because it has open windows, sometimes it gets a bit warm in the afternoon sun. But the waitresses will surely turn up the aircon when you ask for it. They're really all so nice. My mom & I are such frequent guests here they know our orders already. Hahaha.
TaiOne's located at the outskirt of Promenade, Greenhills which was a bit disappointment since they actually serve good and cheap food!
Clearly the place lacks advertisement and I do hope they'd work well on that. The place is neat, well-kept I must say. The staff are nice too, tending to our needs from time to time.
The restaurant's a bit small but cozy at the same time. The food's quite good. We ordered plenty when the family dined out. Sadly, we didn't get to taste their Noodles but of course, I will definitely be back!
We tried all their dumplings- from panfried to steamed. It was average for my liking tho. I loved the Century Egg with Tofu as I grew up eating them, yum! Their Hometown Stir Fry Pork and Dried Squid was a bit bland but my mom and brother loved them otherwise. I personally got hooked with the 3 Cup Squid as it was very tasty! And yes, we are a fan of seafood. Lol.
Luckily, we used the gift check I had so, we were able to eat a mouthful. Overall, the food's quite good. And as I said, I'll definitely be back for their Noodles! 😋
TaiOne's Braised Beef Brisket Noodles is such a bargain for P298/bowl! Its rich and flavorful broth is a 4 out of 5 for me, with plenty of beef brisket toppings. Yes, check out the photo! The cooks made sure they did not skimp on those tender beef toppings! I just wish they have the option to add tendon and tripe as well! Plus P50 for an extra serving of that distinct savory broth. The noodles were freshly made, kneaded, and cut into thick noodles perfect for that noodle-slurping moment you're supposed to make to show appreciation for the food!
Definitely coming back for more! I wish most noodle houses are as generous in amount of serving portions as TaiOne!
TaiOne located at the ground floor of Promenade at GreenHills. (medyo likod area)
During The Foodie Meet Up, we enjoyed the following dishes:
TaiOne Chicken Steak >>>
Golden Brown that crunchy outside yet tender and tasty chicken from the inside. Flavorful burst of spices in every bite :)

3 cup chicken >>>

TaiOne offers really great Taiwanese food! Located at the new wing - I didn't really notice that TaiOne was a restaurant when I would pass by it because of the lack of signage. However, food wise - this place is great :) Owner even mentioned that e v e r y t h i n g is from Taiwan. From the tables and chairs to their kitchen supplies. Very impressive :)
Dumplings is a must! You're in for a heavy gastronomic delight when choosing on their store-made noodles. Rice selections are packed with meatyTruly a hidden gem you should not miss when you drop by shopping at Greenhills. Am I going back? Definitely!
Tai One's lack of advertising, quiet exterior and location on the outer perimeter of Greenhills Promenade's new wing do not do it justice, just as the design of its menu, published here in incomplete form, does not fully reflect how good this place is.
Taiwan cuisine is not well known amongst Filipinos, who know it best for its street food, like deep fried chicken steak or beef noodle soup. But there's more on the menu that will resonate with lovers of Chinese food, as Taiwan cuisine reflects influences from Sichuan, Shanghai, Beijing, etc. Parsing further into Tai One's menu will reward you for your choices.
I sampled the Three Treasure beef noodles, which had tender beef tendon and two other kinds of beef. The broth is meaty, with noodles half the thickness of Japanese udon, but just as maddeningly chewy. Good stuff.
Although the broth profiles are similar, there is something to be said about the Sichuan-style spiciness of their Mala noodles. Their thick, curry beef noodle is most unique amongst the selection, with a homey, filling taste. It will be hard to eat much more after a bowl of this.
Honestly, the chicken steak is not much to write home about, even if Tai One now offers it with a choice of 12 flavored seasonings. I'd like to highlight their pan fried pork dumplings - six large meaty dumplings served upside down under a chewy, transparent rice flour crust. It was fun to eat and delicious. I recommend it highly.
We then had their version of 3-Cup Chicken, which is scant in sauce but full of aromatic flavor, as well as breaded tofu with a peppery gravy, buttery corn, and fried egg, elegantly served on a teppan platter.
We paired this with a selection of their tasty fried rice. The Satay Beef is most memorable of the three we tried, but the Sakura shrimp rice is akin to salted fish rice, while the Taiwan sausage rice is also good; it's just a matter of preference.
Their fried rice is another killer app, like their dumplings.
I love their desserts. Their chilled steamed taho was served with four kinds of soft mung beans is very nice as a "lean" dessert. A must-try is their cold chewy grass jelly with flavored sticky rice dumplings, topped with cream and sugar syrup
.
This restaurant delivers bang for the buck, and it's a shame it looks more expensive than it is. I'd also like to say that it offers more than the crowd-pleasing street food dishes I've mentioned, and that its more complicated creations deserve to be highlighted.
There is also a cold coffee and bubble tea selection, so a quick search for snacks should not deter you from checking out this pretty restaurant.
Thank you to Zomato and Tai One for hosting my tasty visit.
TaiOne is located at the corner of the new wing in Promenade Greenhills. It may be hard to find among the sea of restaurants at the Promenade, but the place is accessible to the condominium residents around the area. They have been offering Taiwanese and Chinese dishes for quite some time now.
What is really outstanding in the Taiwanese cuisine is how their Beef Noodles are so rich and savory. Each Taiwanese restaurant I've tried had a different taste in their broth. TaiOne's Three Treasure Beef Noodles have a distinct savory taste and fresh thick noodles.
Aside from Beef noodles, TaiOne also have their own take to several Asian dishes staples like dumplings, fried rice and others. My favorite is their Panfried Pork Dumplings for it is light and definitely tasty.
More about the dishes we tried on my blog...
I am personally not a fan of Taiwanese cuisine, but being a foodie, how can I say no to a foodie meet-up in TaiOne?
We were served with the chicken steak for starters. Honestly, the chicken steak tasted average. Good thing there was a powder seasoning (I forgot the exact powder flavour) where we had the option to dip the chicken in it or not. The pan fried pork dumplings were cooked in two different ways, the other half is steamed, while the other was fried. It looks really cool when presented!
TaiOne is known for their braised beef brisket noodles, but since I wanted something different, I ordered the curry beef noodles. The curry flavour in this was a bit mild. It didn’t really overpower the beef, and I still can’t tell if that’s a good thing or not. There was a generous serving of beef, and it was really juicy and tender! TIP: if you want to try the other dishes in TaiOne, make sure that you’re going to share the beef noodles because it can serve 2-3 people.
The highlight of my meal would have to be the 3 cup chicken with the steak fried rice (I forgot what it’s called exactly). The both really complemented each other! (You order it separately). I really commend the presentation and flavor of the teppan tofu with black pepper sauce.
The grass jelly with cream ball (and two toppings of your choice) is such a light and flavorful dessert. Milk and a bit of the sugar must be added to really enhance the flavors the grass jelly brings!
Remember the powder seasoning I mentioned? TaiOne is actually going to start selling the powder seasoning in different flavors. Seaweed, wasabi, curry, plum, cumin, black sesame, and lemon are just some of them.
Tai One one of the newest resto at the new wign of promenade in Greenhills. One of the best chinese restaurant ive been to. cozy interiors. good for family bonding. We ordered the braised beef, cuapao & the tofu.. I love tofu so so much. They have the freshest tofu, i can say. no smell. so soft & the curd is creamy.. I dont know what they placed there but it sure is yummy. But the sad thing if u request for sauce or broth, there is additional charge. WIll still comeback here because of the tofu
Rather good noodles and over all flavor... But the greatest thing about TaiOne is that there are allocated parking for restaurant diners :) great for a quick Greenhills fix.
I availed of the Braised Beef Brisket noodles meal, and also ordered a carafe of their iced tea.
The moment I got the beef noodles, I thought I had been lied to! It looked really spicy, I was quite hesitant to try it out. My first sip though proved me wrong, it was actually quite tangy-sweet! I immediately asked if soup refills were free - which sadly they aren't. You get your noodles warm so I had to blow on it before I could down it all. And as Chinese-styles go, slurp it with sounds! It was just good, better than I had imagined.
The accompanying iced tea I got was also good. It wasn't the really sweet kind, but it had that taste of "tea" to it. Even though I prefer those really sweet drinks, this was just a different kind of (good) experience.
I was so full by the time I finished the whole meal. Despite thinking to myself that I wanted gyoza or something, I just couldn't find any more space in my stomach.
Service-wise, servers here are quiet efficient, and really nice. Initially I was the only one on the first floor so I commanded all their attention, I even got to pick a couch seat despite being only one person. Haha.
Atmosphere is quite good too, though most people might opt to sit on the second floor as the windows on the first floor give people outside a clear view of the inside.
Clean, rich tasting beef broth.Noodles are excellent.A bit pricey for its serving size. And it would be nice if there is a house tea available, just like the many noodle shops in the city.
