First time to try lugang cafe, it was delicious. I really love their xiao long bao with their sauce. Will come back:)
You’ll never go wrong with the xiao long bao!!!
Unlimited dimsum offer is a good catch if you wanna eat a lot 😉
For Taiwanese food, I always go to Lugang as much as possible.
Pork Xiao Long Bao - juicy and flavorful, best eaten while hot as it tends to cool immediately.
Mixed Mushroom with XO - favorite! Staple dish in my every visit.
Fried Rice w/ Taiwanese Sausage - best fried rice for me.
Spicy Garlic Qing Yi in Claypot - my mom loved this, I liked that it is not Cream Dory but I do not like that it is Parrot Fish which is essential in marine health.
I do hope that they can come up with an alternative to the Qing Yi (Parrot Fish) other than the Dory.
Lugang has been one of my favorite restaurants in Manila. It fired up my love for xiao long bao made me head over heels crazy with other dishes it has perfected. And when R's parents invited us to join them for dinner at Lugang, we couldn't say no. You know that a restaurant is doing remarkably well when it is at an inconvenient location yet packed on a weekday night. Dining at Lugang O'Square branch without reservation is near impossible with its many loyal patrons.
Serves fantastic xiao long bao. They have some novel dishes if you're into that, but I prefer their classic dishes. You get quick service too.
Been craving noodle soup so decided to join some friends at Lugang for a quick breaky. The broth is tasty and smooth. The noodles are al dente just the way I like it. It’s a perfect meal to start off the day.
Ordered hot sour soup, garlic mashed chinese kale, scallion chicken and spicy fish hot pot. All were good and the main courses really did stood out. The chicken was flavorful and succulent, paired with the scallions and onions, it was just perfect. U cant go wrong with the umami flavors of the fish, u can choose either dory or parrot fish. Overall good experience
This is my second visit here. I love there Xiao Long Bao, it’s juicy and yummy. I also order several dishes like pork knuckle, white chicken, oysters cake, fried rice, plum Spareribs which I find nothing special.
