BEST RAVIOLIS EVER!! I’m a super fan of pastas and Pegi got that on point. I’ll definitely be going back to this place. There’s just little parking space in the area or better yet just grab a ride there

I love Pegi’s!! I love it so much I’m subscribed to the newsletter. I always order the plain Liege waffle. It’s a dough-based waffle, so when you bite into it it’s chewy, and you get bits of the pearl sugar. Perfection! Closest to waffles from Belgium as you can get while in the PHL. If you like the waffles in a Starbucks then you’re in luck as they (likely) source it from Pegi’s. They have frozen products you can buy so you can enjoy them at home. The caramel stroopwafels are my favorite, as well as the five-pack Liege waffles. This cafe is tucked away in Little Baguio, San Juan, so it’s not too crowded. Great for Sunday brunches.

The waffles were really good - buttery, soft and the Liege waffle had sugar crystals in it for added texture. The wagyu salpicao was a downer though. The beef was quite stringy/fibrous (ma-litid) making it hard to chew, but the garlic pasta that came with it was deliciously garlicky.

The shrimp tarragon ravioli had good texture and filling. Would benefit from a bit more salt though, but overall a good dish as well.

The rectangular Brussels waffles are buttery and soft. Just the way I like it. Paired with the cheesy frank, you've got a winner!

From their store name, waffle is the most recommended product. I have tried their waffles before, in and out of the store, so I decided to try other dishes as well.

Chicken Cordon Bleu - 5/5
Generous serving of juicy chicken cordon bleu with a cup of rice and vegetable salad side dish

Euro Chicken - 4/5
Chunky fried chicken with a cup of rice and vegetable salad side dish

Belgian Fries - 4/5
Fries with aioli and mustard dip

Interior of the place is overall cozy. They also sell paintings and books.

If i want a quiet place with almost no one around, I go to this restaurant. The place is quaint with comfortable seating. However, sometimes the staff can be a little noisy.

I ordered the salmon entree. The fish was a tad overcooked but the accompanying herb sauce was perfect. I wish it wasn’t served with rice because it didn’t have any flavor at all and contributed nothing to the dish.

They have an interesting take on waffles. At first we thought they served Belgian waffles similar to the one you can get in Starbucks. But they actually have 2 kinds of waffles and you can have it as a dessert or as a savory dish. Their waffle desserts goes well with coffee. If you're looking for a snack place or dessert place, this will hit the spot.

After trying out Pegi waffles, I learned that there are two types of waffles. Brussels-style and Liege-style waffles. Brussels-style waffles are those rectangular shaped ones that have light and fluffy texture. It pairs really well with savory options like sausage, egg and the like. On the other hand, Liege-style waffles are those unevenly shaped ones that have crispier, denser, and chewier texture. This style goes better with sweet toppings like fruits, ice cream and syrups.

I suggest that you go for their Eggs Benedict when you feel like eating something savory. The dish is composed of ham, topped with a poached egg, drizzled with creamy hollandaise sauce, on a light and fluffy waffle. If you're craving for something sweet, try the Pegi Classic. A sweet and crispy waffle topped with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate syrup.

I like the afternoon tea package for 190php. It comes with a pot of tea, 2 buttered scones with jam and clotted cream. I love their scones which are quite hard to fine.

For those who had a very packed workweek like me and looks forward to a weekend of comfort-filled meal..this place is for you. Had a very pleasant dining experience. It was a perfect combination of a visually and taste satisfying food, good service plus a cozy ambience that will make you come back. The prices are also reasonable. For the savory waffle, we tried the eggs benedict while for the sweet one, had the blueberry liege waffle. Both are equally good. Other products tried: poached apple salad - has a cinnamony blend flavor not too sweet but could have added walnut for some crunch, cordon bleu - from the very clean plate of my son am sure he enjoyed this meal, canadian bacon rice meal for moi (they serve all day brekkies and I soooo love it).

I've passed by Pegi Waffles, I think, twice since I moved to Quezon City. To be honest, I had no idea about them: that they're actually the supplier of the Belgian waffles at Starbucks, which people have grown to love over the years. Whenever I'd see the place, it reminded me a little bit of another bakery cafe, I guess because of the blue and they're both, you know, the dainty and quaint types.

The interiors feels both cozy, comfortable and modern, appears polished without being intimidating. Especially loved the touches of gray and the striped pattern on the couches. It's like one of those hidden cafes that you discover where you can imagine yourself finding a perfect spot to spend an entire afternoon either to hangout with friends or to finish all the things you need to blog (well, in my case). I'm not sure if they have Wi-Fi though, I forgot to ask. There's ample lighting inside the cafe, and yes, Instagram-worthy.

And though it bears a breakfast staple (or dessert, whichever you prefer) on its name, Pegi Waffles serves so much more than that.

They were really generous as we were served appetizers and we were able to order our food of choice for main course. We were quite a big group that day so there was so much food. I was able to had a bite or two of practically everything that was served but I think I'll note here those that were standouts. We were in for a big treat!

The Scones made me feel like all dignified (LOLJK) but, seriously, it was really the best! It was soft, a tiny bit crumbly and tasted buttery on its own. The combination of the clotted cream and marmalade was a tickle to the palate! I absolutely recommend it. Best served with tea! The Tuna Melt is a runner-up. The generous filling of tuna chunks and the cheesy goodness made it my second favorite from the appetizers.

My top picks are: Salmon Lasagna. I've always preferred cream-based pasta than the oil and tomato ones. One mistake I've made is not to ask how huge each serving is, and was met with a huge platter that can stuff two to three people. I loved how there were hefty salmon meat with lots of flavor. The pasta was soft and the cream was a tad overwhelming, but everything still works for me. Wagyu Beef Salpicao. I think everyone agreed this is one of the best dishes we had that day. The beef was oh-so tender and packed with flavor. That right there is premium beef, both by its texture and taste. It was a really satisfying meal that I enjoyed. And lastly, the Chicken Ala Kiev. First time I've heard of this recipe (it was also a new entree on the menu) and was surprised by how it tasted. It looked like cordon bleu, but when you slice it, there's this oil/sauce that comes out adding more depth to the flavor of the chicken.

Pegi Waffles is synonymous to the best waffles in town and also so much more! I felt that the dishes they serve are well thought of and excellent in quality. I wouldn't mind spending extra for food as delicious as these. I highly recommend this place. I'm definitely getting another bag of scones and waffles next time! And if you're in San Juan, please do pay them a visit. You won't be sorry! :)

I have to say that dining at Pegi Waffles was one of the best resto experiences I have ever had so far. I was able to visit this lovely place for a Zomato Foodie Meet-up (which was also my first!) and I surely enjoyed it despite the fact that it was raining hard that day. All the traffic I went through slowly drifted away upon entering the place.

I loved the ambiance of Pegi Waffles. It was very dainty, in a positive way for me, and was an example of an Instagram perfect place. There were paintings all around for the Paint Share Care cause the owners of the resto were supporting for the benefit of Gawad Kalinga. For me, it complemented the place while being there for a good cause.

For the food, I have to say that the Wagyu Beef Salpicao (P395) would have to be my favorite. The beef was so tender and full of taste that I literally had to close my eyes to savor its good taste. Their bestseller Chicken A La Kiev (P320) is also very satisfying and tasted just about right. This is actually the first time I heard of a meal such as this but I have to say that the actual food given to us even gave justice to what one can see in the menu. I personally ordered a Beef Lasagna (P260) and was surprised that the serving was too big and that it was good for 2-3 people to share it. I'm not really a fan of lasagnas (I prefer white sauce pastas) but this has got to be one of the best lasagnas I have ever tasted. I was able to share the Beef Lasagna goodness to the others. Their Salmon Lasagna (P260) also tasted good and had the same serving as the Beef one. Pegi Waffles' version of Eggs Benedict (P250) did not just look pretty different and good, but it tasted even better! What got me really interested was their Spaghetti Vongole (P260) which is just a perfect plate for seafood lovers. Aside from the food served, I was also able to taste their Banana Bliss (P110) which was a liege waffle topped with banana slices and cookie butter.

The service was pretty great too! The staff and servers were always smiling and were always ready to take requests and orders.

I really loved my first Pegi Waffles experience. I have always been a fan of waffles but not only did my dining experience in Pegi Waffles leave me with very satisfied stomach and taste buds but also new knowledge about different kinds of waffles. I'm pretty sure I'll come back given the time!

I've always enjoyed waffles, it's comfort food at its purest form. And nobody does waffles like Pegi Waffles. Classic Belgian-style waffles that warms the palate and the soul. The thick and soft Brussels waffle, the round and mildly sweet Liege waffle, the thin Gaufrette, it's all here at Pegi Waffles.  The Eggs Benedict (P 250), with the Brussels waffle topped with maple-smoked ham and delicately poached egg draped with hollandaise sauce is a personal favorite, with the thick Brussels waffle pairing well with savory toppings for a satisfying and comforting meal any time of day. For heftier appetites, go for Pegi Waffles' Euro Chicken & Waffle (P 340), it's comfort food and soul food in one dish. The crisp and juicy buttermilk fried chicken with mushroom gravy and herbs pair well with the Brussels waffle for another satisfying dish. But there's more to Pegi Waffles than just waffles. Other must-try dishes include the Wagyu Beef Salpicao (P 395) served with rice or pasta and a side salad, the rustic Lasagna (P 260) in beef, salmon or spinach, and the new Spaghetti ala Vongole (P 260) with clams. Inside Pegi Waffles, one feels so much at home with their cozy vibe, in fact, it almost feels like dining in your favorite aunt's place, the perfect setting for a comforting meal.

But it's the waffles that make you come back again and again. Brussels, Liege, or Gaufrette, take your pick, It's all here at Pegi Waffles.

First Zomato Foodie Meetup!! Paint. Share. Care

Let me just say, that there is no food in here that I didn't like. My goodness, the food here stands out among many others I have ever tasted. The whole experience was so overwhelming and we had so much fun but other than the great ambience and delicious food served in this restaurant, the beautiful paintings displayed in the store are being sold for a good cause. You can auction for a painting and help Gawad Kalinga help more people! Some of the paintings displayed are done by 6-13 year old, and they are just stunning, I can't believe my eyes. Please visit pegiwaffles.com for more information. We really hope that they get to help more people.

Product: well, we arrived late due to traffic and the rain, so by the time we got there some of the appetizers are already finished and everyone had ordered their main courses (preferred food), we got assisted and ordered ours too. We each got to taste the food and take pictures, I wanna start with the  Wagyu Beef Salpicao, it was so easy to chew because of how soft it was, and the taste was like a very much enhanced adobo. I loved the Chicken A La Kiev, when you slice it the oily sauce comes out and the taste of it all is too much for my tastebuds, at first I was afraid to taste it but my love for chicken got the best of me, and that was the best decision I ever made. It is also Instagram-worthy! The Beef Lasagna, is now tied as my favorite beef lasagna. The serving alone is big enough for two people, make sure to eat it especially while it's still hot. It is not too sour or too sweet, for me it is just the right amount of flavor combination mixed with the right ingredients. The Spaghetti Vongole is another dish that made me so happy, but people who don't like seafood might not be fan or if you like your pasta creamy because this is an oil-based pasta, if the picture on the menu wasn't obvious enough. I ordered the Frank and Pegi and boy was I surprised with how big the Frank was, although I was surprised that the honey mustard was the "syrup", it actually combines well with the waffle and frank sausage, a really good dish with a big serving. The Eggs Benedict is another savory waffle dish that is just very well put together. OH and one more thing! Taste the cheesecake! One of the best I ever had! Trust me. I rarely give a five rating here but this one really deserves it and that's just not because Zomato invited me.

Venue: the place isn't so big but it's so beautiful inside, there are a lot of paintings displayed which makes the ambience very calming. There is also classical music playing in the background to help boost your appetite (music helps for me). The servers are very nice and act quickly, they also seemed professional based on how they act. I really hope that a lot of people buy/auction for the paintings. Remember to visit pegiwaffles.com!

Remember Pegi Waffles? I do! Around a decade or so ago, it became a sought after item at Starbucks. I remember it always being sold out. People were crazy about the Belgian waffle piled high with whipped cream and syrup. Fast forward to the present – about a year ago, Pegi Waffles opened their own restaurant! It is along P. Guevarra St, near Sodam, and just across from Nathaniel’s.

We've always been a fan of Pegi Waffle since way, way back and we thought that it already closed down ... Luckily, it didn't and that they still produce the delicious waffles that my daughter really likes. These waffles can be bought and then kept in the freezer. All you have to do is heat them up in the microwave or toaster, add some butter, cream, nutella or jam and you're all set. Oh, and did I tell you that they now have chocolate flavored waffle? Two thumbs up!

Aside from waffle, the store have now expanded and has a cafe. They serve pasta, rice meals, and of course, waffles.

I am especially particular to their ravioli and shrimp fettuccine. They made their own pasta so one is not only assured of freshness it tastes great. The ravioli also has generous fillings although its best to eat it as soon as it is serve since it tends to harden.

Another yummy discovery in Pegi Waffle is the beef salpicao. Very flavorful and the meat is tender. Thumbs up!

Pegi Waffle is a great hang out place also since it is near the schools and offices along P. Guevara in San Juan. They also serve coffee and tea that's so perfect if you are planning to have a tete 'a' tete with a friend or sweetheart.

It is actually quite a pretty setup, with white and powder blue walls which make me think of white puffy clouds, and just seems as heavenly as their waffles.

Like any person familiar with the sweet Pegi Waffle from Starbucks, I thought the food they served at Pegi Waffles were just sweets and breakfast food. I was very happy to find out that they also served savory dishes, too!

ABOUT WAFFLES, TEAS & ICE CREAM

Pegi Waffles serves two kinds of waffles – the Liege waffles that it is known for, and Brussels waffles, the type that we are more familiar with.

Liege Waffles are dough-based, have a cake-like texture, are crunchier and sweeter – what I love about this waffle are the little bits of sugar balls incorporated in the waffle! They have several flavors available – original, cheese and chocolate. You can also buy them frozen, around P216/ pack of 6, if I remember correctly.

Brussels Waffles are batter-based, less sweet, and are freshly made as you order.

For their teas, they have tea from American tea masters Harney & Sons.

They also serve Gelato from Cafe Publico, and sell Theo & Philo chocolates.

THE FOOD

My best thing I learned from my visit was that they also serve pasta and rice dishes!

We started with these Fried Puff Cheese Ravioli (P220) – these are little bite-sized pieces of goodness with a cream cheese filling. It comes with a chunky tomato dip. These are addictive! You have got to try them at least once! These are made by their chef.

We also had these Spinach Ravioli (P220) – these have a filling of cream cheese and spinach. These, as well as their pasta, are also made in-house.

Shrimp Fettuccine (P195) – they use their in-house spinach fettuccine for the pasta.

I love their Salmon Lasagna (P250) – it’s creamy, cheesy and has lots of salmon!

Here’s their Eggs Benedict (P245) – ham and a poached egg, topped with Hollandaise sauce, served on a Brussels waffle. Serving Eggs Benedict on a waffle instead of the usual English muffin is a different twist, and something I, with my penchant for sweet & savory, enjoyed. I would probably request for a bit more sauce, though. I think you can also add an extra egg for P20.

Here’s the Hungarian Sausage (P220), topped with some honey mustard sauce. It’s actually a nice combo with a waffle, because to me, the slight sweetness of the waffle goes well with the spicy, salty Hungarian sausage. It doesn’t look that appetizing at first look, but the trick is to have each bite have a piece of sausage, waffle and sauce! Again, I would probably request for some extra sauce on the side, just because I like having a lot of sauce.

They also have rice meals! We were able to try the Chicken Cordon Bleu (P250), and the Beef Salpicao (P350). I liked the Chicken Cordon Bleu – it was well-seasoned and they were generous with the sauce. The beef for the Beef Salpicao was tender (they used tenderloin).

For dessert, we had several liege waffles – Pegi’s Classic (P105), Salted Caramel Waffle (P90), Banana-Cookie Butter Waffle (P110).

We also had Scones (P105) – at P105, I think these are worth trying – each set gets you two small scones. The scones are actually quite good – served warm and toasty, and flaky inside. A common problem I find with most scones in Metro Manila is that they tend to be dry and doughy, but these scones are actually good. They come served with a small jar of jam and a small jar of clotted cream. To eat them, just split the scones horizontally in half, put some jam and cream, and eat!

SUMMARY

It is a pretty place for a little girl’s party or even for grown-up women who are still little girls at heart. But even men will surely enjoy the food!

I can imagine someone spending a relaxing brunch here – girl friends catching up, a man leisurely reading the paper on Sunday, etc…

The price is a bit higher than I expected, but considering that the waffles are a specialty item, and the savory dishes well-thought out, and also that they have a pretty, relaxing ambience, I guess it’s okay – a little pampering for your “me” time is worth it. You can stay here for your entire meal – they have everything from appetizers, pasta and rice meals, to dessert, chocolate, coffee, tea and gelato! Parking is also available in front so that’s a definite plus!

I recommend trying the Fried Ravioli and the Spinach Ravioli. Normally, I'd rate this a 4.0, but I'm giving it an extra 0.5 because I really like how it looks and I love the ambience!

Comfort food at its finest!
Pegi waffles from outside may seem like your typical tea and pancake place but once you enter and see their menu, you are in for a treat. From their very clean and eye catching interiors down to their food is something that will brighten up any day.
My top favorites were thw salmon lasagna and the waffles and sausage. That salmon lasagna was so rich in flavor that my mouth kept on eating one bite after the other. For the waffles and sausage, they make a terrific pair. The sweetness of the waffle (because it has crystals in them which are sugar) and the spicy salty peppery taste of the sausage just blended so well in my mouth.
They have a wide range of choices from appetizers to main dish to dessert and even to drinks!
Speaking of dessert, one must not leave without trying their SCONES! It's a dessert that will just make your day a happy one. And that butter! Mmmm, butter. So good thay you wanna lick the whole container.
I would highly recommend this place to barkadas who wanna eat good food, moms who wait for their children from school, dads who wanna eat comfort food, moms who lunch and just about anyone who wants to have a happy tummy!
Til next time :)
Oh, and might I forget, they even sell waffles, the magic butter, and many more in their store that you can bring home. Brilliant!

Cozy place for studying or catching up with your friends. Didn't see any electric outlets though so I doubt you could stay for as long as you like with your laptop on. I ordered their Salted Caramel Waffle (I loved this! Needed more caramel drizzle though!!) and their Pegi's Classic with gelato and chocolate syrup on top of the regular waffle. I just wish they had more gelato flavors because I find their selection of 4 or 5 flavors sort of limited and their gelato matches perfectly with the waffles. The waffles tasted quite similar from the ones you order at Starbucks.

Then there's the Pegi Clotted Cream. It doesn't look like clotted cream but I tried it anyway. Buttery goodness! Would be impossible to make the real one anyway but I'm thankful at least Pegi Waffles tried to offer some for their scones.

Update: Management had confirmed that they have electrical sockets for your gadgets. Just ask for assistance from their staff. 👍👍👍

I’ve always been a pancake girl through no fault of my own. We just didn’t order or make waffles while I was growing up. Then I was told that waffles were basically pancakes in a fancy shape. The only time I started ordering waffles was when I slept over at my cousin’s house, and her mom made us an amazing breakfast the next morning. From that point on, I developed a huge respect for waffles and a longing to find delicious waffle places in the metro. In comes the invitation to try out Pegi Waffles from M—full disclosure, he works there—and Zomato, and so I have another one to add to my list.

Despite the name that denotes breakfast or dessert, Pegi Waffles offers much more than that. It is a legit lunch or dinner place with its varied selection of savory menu items. Choose from pasta, rice meals, or savory waffles, all of which having that homemade, comfort food flavor going on. The serving size of each dish is big enough to be filling for one, but I’d recommend sharing to keep the umay (tired palate) at bay.

Here’s the feast we partook in:

Shrimp Fettuccine (PHP 195)

Fresh flavors! The shrimp and tomatoes complement the spinach-flavored fettucine noodles to a T. This dish includes wheat waffle slices instead of the usual garlic bread accompaniment. Overall, the impression of the fresh ingredients is the one that sticks, and you won’t feel guilty because they kept it light.

Fried Puff Cheese Ravioli (PHP 220)

Cheese-lovers will appreciate the Fried Puff Cheese Ravioli for not skimping out on the cheese filling. The tomato salsa is in perfect sync, flavor-wise. Just make sure to eat this piping hot in order to get the soft, gooey goodness that contrasts with the crispiness of the fried ravioli shell.

Spinach Ravioli (PHP 220)

Another light-tasting dish, the Spinach Ravioli is a popular pick that contains the richness of the cream cheese filling balanced by the freshness of the tomato sauce. It has the same pasta dough as the fettucine, but I didn’t notice the firmness of the noodles. The focus, for me, was on the tasty filling.

Salmon Lasagna (PHP 250)

Another one for the cheese-lovers, the Salmon Lasagna features creamy white sauce with a smoked salmon taste. The pasta was on the softer side, but not a huge deal-breaker. This is a sizable dish that I’d recommend be shared between two people. They didn’t skimp out on the salmon, so the price is fair.

Eggs Benedict (PHP 245)

I’m personally an Eggs Benedict fan, because of my love for eggs and Hollandaise sauce. This dish is rich and indulgent, though I wish the egg yolk could have been more gooey. As it turns out, the soft-cooked egg topped with Hollandaise sauce makes a trip to the salamander (gratinating machine), so it causes the egg yolk to cook further and get firm. I hope they find a way to keep the yolk liquid.

Hungarian Sausage (PHP 220)

If you’re looking for something with a kick, the Hungarian sausage provides bite after spicy bite of attitude. The honey-mustard dressing tempers the spicy with its sweetness. If you’re not used to savory waffles, don’t imagine this to be a strangely sweet dish as the waffles used aren’t sweetened. You’ll get the interplay of sweet and spicy primarily from the sausage and the dressing.

Beef Salpicao (PHP 350) — rice meals usually come with a side of lettuce, instead of mixed veggies

The rice meals are well-balanced plates with its portion sizes of protein to carb to veggie. With bite-sized cuts of beef and lots of garlic, the Beef Salpicao has that classic Pinoy flavor for those want to stay “close to home” with their lunch or dinner selection.

Chicken Cordon Bleu (PHP 250)

I like a lot of meat on my plate, so I found the size of the Chicken Cordon Bleu to be proportioned with the rice. Thankfully, the chicken wasn’t dry and there was a fair amount of sauce. That’s the biggest turn-off to Cordon Bleu or Chicken a la Kiev for me, dryness.

Banana-Cookie Butter Waffle (PHP 110)

While the cookie butter didn’t scream its presence, its pairing with bananas added texture to the dessert. Even if it were a peanut butter and banana waffle, I’d still enjoy the combination.

Salted Caramel Waffle (PHP 90)

For those who want something sweet but not at carnival food proportions, the Salted Caramel Waffle has the nice caramel aroma without getting too salty or too sweet. Don’t let looks deceive you. It doesn’t feel like you’re eating the world’s supply of sugar.

Scone Set (PHP 105)

I’ve tried scones before, and I got the impression that they were stale and unappetizing. This is a completely different story, since the scones are part of a complete set with jam/marmalade and clotted cream. Furthermore, the scones were warm and crumbly and the clotted cream, addictive. The cream tastes like whipped butter, and aaaah, what an indulgence! In fact, two from our table bought plastic jars of clotted cream to take home (PHP 160).

Pegi’s Classic (PHP 105)

Pegi’s Classic is your standard Belgian waffle a la mode with chocolate sauce. It’s one of the simplest ways to take their waffles, but it’s also the kind of dessert you’ll immediately associate with comfort food. If you’re the type to take joy in the warmth of the waffle melting the ice cream, look no further.

Choco Almond Waffle (PHP 99)

The favorite in our table, who doesn’t find the shiny chocolate topping on the Choco Almond Waffle tempting? It’s a deliciously oozy treat that isn’t complicated with so many toppings, yet that’s what makes it so great. Don’t mess with good quality chocolate. As evidenced in this dessert, less is more.

For a place that is known for the waffles, the meals are of a high-quality, homemade sort that takes its flavors from fresh ingredients rather than artificial flavoring. It’s like your posh Tita’s (aunt’s) cooking, and that’s why it has comfort food written all over it. The only negative I can think of is the small parking space, an inconvenience that can be felt most during functions and peak hours.

Verdict: I still see Pegi Waffles as the place to get a waffle fix from, but the savory food is done well enough that you can actually enjoy a meal before the dessert without feeling that they made a lunch/dinner menu just for the sake of having a complete menu. Each dish we had felt well-thought of and suited to the Belgian/Western theme, with quality taking center stage. In that regard, I feel the prices are justified.

I would recommend this to friends who want a casual place with a relaxed ambiance for them to catch up or to those who just want to sit in an idle cafe to dig into a treat in peace and quiet.

poor food. even the waffle isn't good. I think people just buy waffles here for take home. I would never eat here again. maybe for coffee? but not for food.

edited 11/22/16 food is getting better and the place is pretty convenient with ample parking as well. I am glad they did good on their promise to improve and further develop their menu aside from the waffles.

My friend and I searched for some place to eat along P. Gueverra since there are a lot of places that you can choose from. 😁

So Pegi Waffles was the chosen one hahahaha!! So when we arrived by at the resto it was really cute and clean if I may say. 😊

The servers were of course very courteous tho they were only two during the time of our visit.

We had one of their Liege Waffle which is crunchy in the outside and soft to the bite as to what they have described it on the menu. What we decided to try was the Salted Caramel it was just right and good. Not too sweet and not too salty. 👌 We also had one Savory Waffle which is their Pesto Salami wheat waffle, herbs, salami and mozarella cheese on top that comes with colorful nachos!! 🐽

I love the service as well as the affordability of the food!! Budget friendly tho!! 👅😊

Located in P. Guevarra cor Wilson street (across Rustan's supermarket), this restaurant can be unassuming at first given its modest exterior and almost hidden location. But once you enter, a minimalist yet homey aura fills up the room with the white walls, bright lights and quirky but chic room accessories. While the name might imply that it only serves desserts, it also serves savory dishes such as pasta and rice dishes and has plans to expand the menu further.

Their pasta and ravioli dough is made from scratch so it has a freshness quality and it is al dente. The sauce, which is also home-made lifts up the dishes. I particularly like the spinach ravioli as the filling (despite being cheese) did not overpower the entire dish.

Rice dishes are also well-cooked. Their cordon bleu is quite moist and packed with flavor with enough breading and batter to cover the chicken but not thick enough to be the entire dish.

Savory waffle dishes are also available. I was drawn to the combination of Hungarian sausage and waffles with honey mustard dressing. The sausage is HUGE and bursting with spices but the honey mustard balances it out.

Dessert of course are waffles and of course it did not disappoint. The waffle is firm on the outside but moist and chewy on the inside. There are several toppings to choose from, enough to please those who have a sweet tooth and even those who don't (like me). But the scones and the whipped butter were to die for! The pastries are warm and the whipped butter is just pure heaven:)

Yes, the mains are a bit pricey (from 180-350) but servings are generous. Parking might be an issue here as they only have 4 slots available. But otherwise, it's money well spent on the food and ambiance. Will definitely go back again!

We went there looking for ice cream and we were not disappointed. The strawberry ice cream is super good. If you have tried mad marks strawberry and cream. It's like that without the cream. We also tried their red velvet cupcake, which I also recommend your taste buds will thank you. However we were shocked when we saw the price. One scoop of ice cream is 110. We went ahead and tried it anyway.
I have to mention their interior. It's is so cozy, with so many details arranged, just lovely. In addition we were told by the staff that you can buy online tickets to experience tea time. We will try that out later on.

Last January 2015, when this restaurant was newly renovated, we decided to try Pegi's Waffles. We often pass by this place and I was curious what they served inside. A rush of refreshing modern but elegant interiors greeted us. Airy and full of space despite the small area. We ordered their specialty, of course-Pegi's classic Liege waffle. I wondered how many ways you can cook waffle and why this particular resto specializes in waffles. I soon found out when we received our orders - the waffle was crunchy outside with a bit of salt along with the sweetness. A bit of crunch when you bite then soft in between. How did they make it that way? As a cooking enthusiast, I realized this is not easy to make. After eating our orders came a freebie - single scoop Belgian chocolate gelato! Light but full of deep chocolate flavor, this is a possible alternative to ice cream for me because I find ice cream too guilty. The pricing is a bit high for the serving, but I will definitely come back here for the quality, one-of-a-kind waffle they offer.

I love how cozy it is when you're in Pegi. And their waffles are filling and affordable, too! They taste great and is best with ice cream. The staff is nice and attentive. Will try more of their food next time.

A hidden jewel for desserts and other delicacies. They've done a great job in mastering their specialties...waffles! Their waffles come in a wide variety from sweet to savory.

If you look at Pegi waffles from the outside, it looks quite boring and dull. But when you go inside the store, it's actually cozy. The place isn't that huge; I think only ten people or less can stay there at a time. The food is not that bad. The last time I ordered there, I got myself a Pesto-salami waffle and it was okay. The sauce was a great combination to the pesto. The downfall though, would be the waffle itself since it was kinda hard. The staff were really friendly too, he just stayed right behind and made sure we didn't need anything anymore.
