Food exactly what I had before during my trips to Japan. A bit pricey but well worth the taste and experience.
The best curry house in the philippines mabilis yung service nila sa robinson manila :)
Biased as I love Coco Ichibanya! The standard was high as it is in any Coco Ichi, and the cost was in line with other branches around the world - expensive for the Philippines though.
I love Coco Ichibanya...
Im a fan really
the chicken katsu topping was really thick and juicy; well worth the price :D the hashed beef's curry sauce was notably different and tasty. great!
Honestly, I find Coco Ichi in the Philippines better than the ones in Japan. Always my go to now whenever I crave for curry.
I loved all the dishe I ordered before at your greenhills branch looking forward to eat again soon!
Fave! Esp the omurice and udon. will come back for sure...:-)
Always bundat after every Coco Ichibanya visit. This time I tried the Level 2 spice and I think it’s just right for me 🤤
I tried their tonkatsu omurice curry with potatoes and carrots! Love everything about it! But I was not able to finish everything because it was too heavy for me. 😅
This is the ideal branch if you want to get a quick fix for your Japanese curry cravings. Literally this is located inside the car park building and you can be in the restaurant seat from your car seat in a minute or less. We ordered Fried chicken curry, Eggplant and spinach curry rice gratin and their famous Pork cutlet omelet curry. Among the three I liked most the Fried chicken curry. The chicken pieces were crunchy outside but juicy and salty inside. It reminded me of karaage but this one is smothered in curry sauce. The pork cutlet selling point is the omelet rice. It was creamy and thick a perfect contrast against the crunchy lightly breaded pork meat. The gratin was not a disappointment also. The melted cheese on top covered the entire rice serving and was very flavorful. Giving this visit a nice 5 rating!
A bit pricey but the food is definitely tasty 😋
One word: Currrrrryyyy. Great food and ambience. We will definitely come back here and try other level of spiciness.
Our go-to restaurant at greenhills area will always be coco ichibanya! Their authentic curry is one of the best that I've tasted and definitely similar to curries you can find in Japan. I love how fast and polite the staffs here are. The food here never disappoints which makes our every visit here worth it.
Can I just say that my experience here was SUPERB! I'm a big fan of Japanese curry and Coco Ichibanya definitely did not disappoint, especially since it was my first time here. Kudos to the crew as well for being so polite and nice! Don't forget to fill out their survey form and give a thumbs up to your assigned waiter (ours was Joaquin)!
My go to comfort restaurant in Greenhills. Amazing food and customer service. Try their curry with an extra serving of cheese, it's the best!
Mia and I were craving Japanese, and we stumbled at Coco Ichibanya yesterday for an early dinner stint.
This successful international franchise is big in Japan. In the Philippines, they are getting there with currently eight stores, just in the greater Manila area.
Everything in Coco Ichibanya’s menu has curry! And since I love that spice, I will definitely keep coming back. I may have been sniffing from the heat as I ate my Vegetable Omelette, but I took pleasure doing so.
I do recommend getting any of this store’s salad. Our tuna was only at Php 130, a steal deal to kick off your meal.
Mia finished her cheesy Shrimp Gratin. She even ordered an extra bowl of Japanese curry. Coco does have up to ten levels of spice, something worth exploring on your visit.

I like the ambience in greenhills branch. The place is clean and the crews are polite. The food is definitely a must try! I like the katsu+egg curry. They also have salads.
Eating inside felt like morning. It was pretty well-lit in the evening and the restaurant was crowded and lively. They don't have a restroom so you need to go to the ones after Casa Reyes. Lounge with P10 payment is on the same floor (ground floor) while the free one is second floor.
Pork Cutlet Omelette Curry & 15-Grain Rice was cooked to perfection! It was my first time to have curry with an omelette and it was really fluffy and plentiful. Since you can choose your level of curry spiciness, I chose mild and it was just right! My companion already found her standard level quite spicy, and our friend got quite a kick from level 4.
Prices are steep in my book but I know I want to go back for that omelette-curry experience!
Taste Japan’s curry at its best!
When I went to Japan, I fell in love with their curry and the first time I had one was just at the subway in Tokyo where you use vending machines to order and when you enter the restaurant, your order will be right there waiting for you. Since I had that, all I wanted to eat the rest of my visit was curry but I had to stop myself so when I got home, I craved Japanese curry so bad then I heard about Coco and went here immediately to try them out.
To my greatest luck, their curry indeed tasted like the one I had in Tokyo. It was pricier but it was worth it. I tried both the pork and the chicken katsu but I prefer the chicken one. I could never finish one serving even if it’s just the regular sized one but I always try my best because it’s too good to waste.
Luckily, they also use Japanese rice which makes the whole experience take me back to when I had my first bite. After eating here, I tried a lot of Japanese curry in other restaurants here in Manila but none of them (so far) had ever tasted so close to the real one as this restaurant did. Consider me a regular customer from now on, Coco Ichibanya.
Their salad is also very tasty. I didn’t even mind waiting a little bit while munching on the salad and the starters.
Very satisfying straight up curry place. Possibly a comfort food for us, we love how uncomplicated the menu is. It's either just yakiniku or pork cutlet for me and my wife. Each time, we leave with full bellies and satisfied cravings.
Let's curry our life with curry!
I ordered the naan curry and standard size of vegetable curry. I felt like I only ate carbs and starch, since the vegetable curry had a lot of potatoes. The naan curry was a bit bare with plain curry, fries and naan bread. The fries were thick and crispy, the bread was soft, with some parts a bit stiff. The curry tasted good with everything and their pickled red ginger or benishoga took the dishes to another level.
I liked that you can choose the level of spice, the amount of rice (yay for less food waste), and the toppings. I tried natto for the first time and it was actually not bad, though my sisters didnt like it. Slimey and fragrant, at least for me. I only tried level one spice and realized that I'm not a spicy person. Nose was getting watery from it.
I love the interior with spice books and spices displayed around. I like their selection of vegetable dishes too. Order was not that fast, but everything was good.
Ordered pork omelet curry with spicyness at level 1. It has just the right amount of kick to it without the spicyness overtaking the flavor giving a good balance to the overall taste. Icecream and coffee jelly were good, a good end to a good meal. A relatively comparable japanese curry meal. Staff were accomodating and alert.
Overall I really enjoyed my first experience. Will definitely go back!
I recently gave Coco Ichibanya-Rockwell a perfect score. When I craved for the same food in GH area, I wasn't entirely disappointed, but I felt quite sad that quality isn't the same in their two branches.
I got the pork cutlet omelet with curry spice level 4. When the dish was served, I knew something was different. The egg omelet which was supposed to be creamy and fluffy was a little bit over. The pork meat was a little bit way too fatty compared to the ones they serve in Rockwell. Also, the spice level 4 did not give any spicy kick at all. Normally, I would at least perspire a bit or feel the spiciness on my tongue.
I am not saying it was a bad experience. I'm still giving it a 4.0, it was still a great dish. It's just that, compared to their Rockwell branch, it is not as great.

First time at a CoCo Curry House but I’ve heard that it’s good since it’s a favorite of some friends and relatives and now I know why! It really is good, satisfying/ filling and reasonably priced.
The pork is tender and juicy inside with a crunchy fried coating. The rice is not dry. The curry is delicious and you can adjust (i.e. make it spicier) the spiciness level even more by adding the Hot Spicy powder. You can also choose how much rice you want (less or more). The extra topping of sausages that we ordered were good too, small but good.
This branch has ample seating and very well airconditioned. It was so hot outside so when we entered, the cool atmosphere was a great welcome to customers. The server also gave us iced water immediately upon arrival which we appreciated.

I love it! The taste is consistent, same as the ones I’ve tried in Japan which makes me feel that eating curry from here is just a mall away. We’ve been at this branch for a couple of times now and the staff has always been nice. I always go for the pork cutlet and vegetable curry. The dish is quite heavy on the stomach, the curry is thick and flavorful. The cutlet has just the right amount of tenderness and crunch. 👍🏻👍🏻
This is an excellent place for people who loves Japanese curry. I admire a restaurant where you can adjust the level of spicyness that you want. Here at Coco Ichibanya, you can also choose the amount of rice that you want, add extra sides. You can also order the Naan bread if you don’t feel like eating rice.
The curry here was pretty good, not too strong. I added cheese on my Sausage Curry to balance the curry flavor. Their Japanese rice was really fragrant and well-cooked.
However, the sides were tad bit pricey. The sides can cost around P40 with a very minimal amount. But it was really fun to look at their menu because there were a lot to choose from.
Overall, I enjoyed the the giant portions, the quality of their rice, I liked the generous amount of the curry that you do not need to order extra sauce, the sausage was really tasty and juicy. The service was good too. 🤗
Lured by the smell of wonderful curry, I remembered that it has been a while since I've tried CoCo Ichibanya...when it first opened at Estancia. I remember regretting eating there because the flavor is bland and very expensive. Their curry flavor has improved greatly since then.
Pork Cutlet and Vegetables Curry - the pork itself is bland but the curry is on point and generous. The vegetables included, specifically the potatos was undercooked.
Cheese Hamburger Curry - soft and cheesy, just a little too rich for my liking. Loved the level 3 spiciness, just how I like it.
Also upgrade mine for 90php which included drinks and ice cream. I recommend to upgrade your meal as it is really sulit in comparison to the price of their drinks and ice cream.

4.5 to be exact. This is my first time ti try CoCo Ichibanya. To the people who know me, I love curry. I'm going to treat my friend for a lunch out. My problem was I don't eat rice and I don't like salad that much. She ordered a whole meal, Porkcutlet Omelet Cury and I had to order extra porkcutlet for myself. The curry itself is flavorful, the porkcutlet is crispy also. All in all worth the money and definitely be back to try other dish, but need to be with someone who eat rice. haha
the staffs wasn't that accommodating, they were too slow to respond.
It was my first time to eat here, overall their Pork Cutlet with rice and omellete was awesome. The place was clean, spacious and well airconditioned. Will go back here again.
Coco ichibanya is slowly but surely solidifying themselves as the curry katsu resto in the metro. Customize rice amount and spice level to your desire.
The resto for your curry cravings! The curry here never disappoints. Pure umami! The flavors of the curry along with the various toppings you can choose from and the well fried Katsu completes the experience.
Food: If you like spicy food then you will love it here. They got different levels of spiceness. The serving is okay but because of how good the food is you’ll feel that it’s not enough.
Service: Very kind and attentive.
Price: Quite expensive. But the food is worth it.
I've never really enjoyed eating curry dishes before, but this one is DIFFERENT. If you don't like curry and you don't think you'll like it here, please set that aside and give it a try. Super good and worth it. I've also tried delivering through Grab Food. The food was packed so well and still tasted like I was at the restaurant. Must try!
Considering that salads at restaurants are usually pricey, I was surprised that CoCo's salad was cheap (P100) yet filling and delicious. My order was the creamed chicken omelette. The curry sauce was flavorful, with the right level of spiciness for me. My only suggestion is that they add more chicken bits.
I can’t count the number of times I’ve spotted Coco Ichibanya and told myself “Yes, I’ll visit there soon”, or dad telling me he’ll take me out to eat here but us never actually getting around to do it. So finally, after years of putting it off, a dinner with friends ended up with the three of us at my friend’s favorite go-to restaurant.
Since I was a tonkatsu fan but not familiar with curry meals, my friend decided to recommend dishes I could try out. He recommended I try my favorite pork tonkatsu, and then ask for additional cheese with the curry. It was the best decision ever!
I chose the regular/standard curry version as I’m not fond of spicy food, but the spices from the curry still gave the meal a kick. 😂 Regular water refills is a necessity in such a situation. The cheese, as I mentioned earlier, was the best addition to the curry. The cheese added extra flavors and gave the curry sauce an extra soft gooey flavor when mixing it with the crisp tonkatsu.
The prices at Coco Ichibanya are affordable and reasonable considering the ingredients used in the dishes. Servings are large so expect to satisfy your appetite when eating here.
Service here was also okay. We arrived an hour before closing time so there weren’t a lot of people left inside the establishment. The food was promptly served. My only extra thought for the visit was that CoCo Ichibanya should consider leaving pitchers or jugs of water at each table, or upon request by guests. I had to call servers’ attention each time I downed my glass to stave off the curry’s spices. Getting the staff’s attention is not always easy.
Overall, I really enjoyed the trip to Coco Ichibanya and would really like to go back for another (food)trip.
Our go-to curry place ever since Eri Curry in Megamall closed down.
The place looks modern and homey like those Japanese family restaurants.
They serve really good curry, and their fukujinzuke condiment is also nice, I'd love to take a bottle home with me.
Service is fast, but I wish the staff could be more warm and accommodating.
Food is awesome, a bit pricey, but if you love Japanese curry, this is the place to be.
They also have non spicy curry for people who cant take the heat. Try their salads too.
Their restroom is also clean.
Place/staff: comfy booths and clean; staff were nice and accommodating
Food: food arrived at approx 20mins. Ramen was very good, not too salty or heavy on the taste, meat was a bit on the dry side, noddles very firm.. Katsu curry crispy and tender
I know I'm not into curry... But i had to try. Came for the curry, left loving the Carbonara. Tried the Gratin as well, at least that's less curry-ish
I’ve been eyeing on this place ever since they branched out here in Philippines but since all their branches were too far from home I haven’t really had the chance to try it. So one day we were so hungry after shopping at greenhills, we happen to pass by this restaurant. I personally haven’t tried the original branch from Japan but their curry tastes like heaven!
I ordered the sliced beef with standard serving of rice and level of spiciness. They have mistakenly served me the LEVEL 10 spicy curry so I talked to one of their staffs then they replaced it. Well, the level 10 is not that bad. It’s as spicy as the level 5 hot curry roux that we usually buy in Japan. The standard curry is really good when you want to savor the spice and goodness of the curry itself.
The creamed croquettes tastes average, cheese hamburger is also really good my hubby loved it so much! Of course last but definitely not the least the vanilla choux cream for dessert!!!! I was suppose to share it with my husband but OMG it really brought me back to japan its very similar to my favorite Monteur Choux Cream that I buy at grocery in Japan so I finished everything myself. LOL 😂
I hope they will expand more branches, this place is really great if you want to try the Japanese Curry. I’m looking forward to my next visit. For sure I will order more vanilla choux cream next time!😂💓
Reminds me of the curry in Japan. Homesick. Great place and food and ambiance and generous serving. It’ll do more than satisfy your craving for curry. Pricing is worth it.
Coco Ichibanya is one of my favorite spots for comfort food. It's really hard to say anything against their curry. It's very flavorful and the staff are very accommodating.
Curry House CoCo Ichibanya is a global player when it comes to Japanese style curry dushrs, was established in 1978 and a world renowned brand.
Seen a branch in Greenhills so we went in for lunch. The interior of the branch was modern Japanese with some jars of curry display, with the history of the place written on a glass wall.Ordered two curry items, but upon ordering the staff will ask you the size of the level of heat of the curry.
Pork Cutlet Omelette Curry-Php360 -Tonkatsu style deep fried pork ,on top of Japanese rice muffled by scrambled egg ,doused in rich curry gravy.Pork was evenly cooked I hate undercooked pork, tasty marinade. The heat of the curry was just right perfect because I have acid reflux with some types of curries. The quality of the rice was high grade while the egg has this delicately silky texture.
Chicken Curry Rice Gratin-Php330 small chunks of boneless chicken ,inside a potpie style dish. The creamy cheesy covering was well paired with the character of the curry sauce.
Service was good and friendly, they even have Japanese newsletter for their Japanese patrons. We also received a bottle of UCC Coffee because we reached a certain amount on our bill.
Overall a happy place rating.
While waiting for my boyfriend, I wanted to stay and work somewhere quiet and not as crowded. They had wifi but the connection wasn’t as good but hey it’s free and wall sockets aren’t available too.
I had Iced Coffee (Php 100) beans are from UCC which are relatively good coffee blend since it wasn’t as acidic and had smooth taste. I also ordered Milk Choux Cream (Php 130) it’s cream puff but they used whipped cream instead of custard. The bread was soft the whipped cream was light and not as sweet but i would really prefer custard instead of whipped cream based filling.
This took so long to happen but today I’ve finally tried Coco Ichibanya! All my expectations were met with the quality of the food. This probably sounds biased but I love curry so much and Japanese style is definitely one of my faves. The roux taste AMAZING. I had 200g of rice and additional vegetables for toppings and man was I full. It was a chill Sunday afternoon and I was kinda surprised few people are eating. The staffs were nice, serving time was quick, and the vibe of the place is cozy. Definitely trying other combos and going to try in a different branch. Coco Ichibanya really is ichiban (#1).
Best curry ever!! I've tried their Pork cutlet omelete curry and Fried chicken omelete curry, it was really good! Also, the staff here in Greenhills branch is very accomodating.
FOOD
Tried eating here for the 2nd time (ordered shrimp gratin before) and it's still just as good! The burger with cheese tastes so-so, but the other one is much better. I normally don't like anything "curry", but this one changed my perspective (THAT'S how good it is). Serving time takes some "time" but it's all worth it!
AMBIANCE
Good. Your eyes have the time to travel and learn some interesting facts about spices that are used to make curry. Nice way to kill time in waiting for my order.
SERVICE
Good, it also takes a while because the house was full. They also offer a promo (iced tea and tomato soup)
Aside from my mom's lamb curry, i consider coco ichibanya to be one of the best japanese curry out there. Ordered the hashed beef omelet (360php) which is my pick and tastes creamy, pork cutlet and vegetables curry (440php) and extra cream potato croquette on the side. I love their omelet menu, especially how they cook the egg. It comes out soft like a blanket. Clam and ripe tomato curry (305php) is one of my favorites. You can taste the tangyness of the tomato and the clams don't taste raw. You can opt to add iced milktea to your order, and the sweetener is set aside so you can adjust it to your liking.
I'm disappointed how they serve a lot of rice and the viand is so little/few...a bit too pricey too for some of the orders in the menu, but the taste is really good. Aside from that, the sauce is sort of enough to act as substitute for the meat.
We had dinner here before watching a movie. The food was so good especially since I'm a fan of curry omurice. The regular meal was a little too big for me so I had some leftover rice, while my boyfriend was very satisfied with the portion.
I like the well-lit minimalist ambience. Servers were very accommodating.
Definitely coming back!
This place is amazing! Though the prices are a little higher than other restaurants, the taste of curry dishes are extraordinary! We didn't have to wait too long to get a table so that was a plus, too. The meats were tender and the curry itself was unique and delicious. I would definitely recommend this to my friends & family!

Went to Coco Ichibanya with my daughter for lunch. It's very bright, immaculately clean, and inviting. Upon being seated we were served 2 sets of utensils.
My daughter ordered the Chicken Cutlet Curry (P340). She was all praises for it. She said the chicken was very tender and juicy. In other curry places, I find the pickles lacking. At Coco Ichibanya, there’s a small jar of pickles on each table so you can put as much as you want.
I had the Cheese Hamburger Curry (P360). Then I opted for add-on Drink and Mini Salad (+P80). Oh my goodness, when I split my burger patty in half gooey mozzarella cheese oozed out! The combination is perfect… the gooey mild-tasting mozzarella cheese went so well with the strong curry flavor and the sweet yet sour pickles.
The Mini Salad add-on is basically mixed greens with cucumbers and cherry tomatoes drizzled with creamy Japanese sesame dressing. My other add-on was a drink, I opted for their Iced Calamansi Tea. This costs P100 when ordered ala carte.
For dessert I ordered Coffee Jelly (P120). The coffee they used is just right — not too bitter but robust and smooth. The vanilla ice cream complemented it perfectly. It was very refreshing, a nice and light treat that’s perfect for summer.
My daughter and I enjoyed lunch at Coco Ichibanya Greenhills. Everything was great — the place, the food, and the service. We’ll probably be back. 😀
Finally, got to try CoCo Ichi. It tastes way different and better from the Vermont and Golden Curry curry roux boxes I'm used to. Hahaha. The flavors were intense and spicy, but, you can adjust the spiciness level. The toppings were so good as well, We had Pork Tonkatsu with Omurice and Hamburg steak with oozing cheese inside. Also, I suggest that you order a set meal with soup and dessert. We had refreshing scoops of ice cream to perfectly end our meal. Highly recommended! 👍🏽
I don't actually eat curry but i fell inlove and got addicted to eating curry because of this restaurant. Actually, I only eat curry here😂 Their curry sauce really wraps the meal because it is very savory and sweet at the same time! Otw to Coco Ichibanya right now hahaha❤️
I am a huge fan of Japanese curry! And so, I looove Coco Ichibanya very much❤️ haha ate here several times already or should I say all of the time whenever I visit greenhills. The meals i've tried, hamburger cheese curry, pork cutlet omelet curry, fried chicken omelet curry and sausage salad. You can also customize the amount of rice, and the curry sauce's level of spicyness. You can also add items of your choice like soup, salad, ice cream and drink. I always choose ice cream and soup. They have fast service in this branch and the staffs are accomodating as well. Recently, I discovered that they opened a new branch at Robinson's Manila which is near my work place. Can't wait to try again their curry meals!👍🏻
So we ate our lunch here yesterday. I ordered the pork cutlet omelet curry and my cousin got the shrimp curry rice gratin.
So their differentiating factor is that this is a japanese-style curry restaurant. I have been to Eri Curry before (see my review) and I would say it is pretty much the same (not absolutely a bad thing). They have a very generous serving of rice, the pork cutlet is really big and the omelet is just cooked to perfection but the flavors are just pretty much the same.
The interior looks bright and clean, which we appreciate and the girl who assisted us was great.
One thing I would say, though, is that I think the food is a little too pricey.
3.5/5
Heard about this place for a while now but it was my first time to eat here yesterday. Tried the pork cutlet omelet and it didn't disappoint! The portion is generous and the curry is perfect - not too overpowering and not too strong. For those who like their curry more on the spicy side, they also have levels of spiciness. The tuna salad is also a steal at 100 pesos. Would try the other dishes next time.
One of the better jap curries i've tasted. Had the pork cutlet omelette curry med hot and it was perfect. Plus the egg was cooked perfectly fluffy and the cutlet was crispy. Each spoonful was singing in my mouth! Dont forget to eat with pickles! And the servers were courteous and the CR very clean. Will definitely come back!
I was invited by Cyril Lumboy as a photographer for her food and fashion blog, dolldelight. The crew is accommodating, especially the marketing executive Janna Arceo, a friendly and lovely lady who recommend a lot of best-sellers of CoCo Ichibanya PH. I ordered Vegetable Curry with Cheese Hamburger and Chicken Cutlet add-ons, and Mixed Salad, that was served in generous amounts. I underestimated the food servings, almost gave up consuming it all. Nonetheless, it's so delicious and very satisfying! This place became my one and only place for my curry fix, I'm glad they opened a branch near home. Please visit their other branches at Estancia, Burgos, Rockwell and Eastwood!
I must say that this place is a must try. I was strolling around Greenhills with my cousin Lesley Anne and found this great place. It caught our attention because aside from the fact that we were tired and famished, the food(dummy) that was displayed from the window was big which was suitable for our appetite that night and looks tasty too. We went inside and the place was cozy enough to relieved us from our tiresome day. Our server was very accomodating which brings us comfort too. It was a Japanese Curry 🍛 restaurant and they had a spiciness level for their food. From not spicy to very spicy. The food looks amazing and smelled so good when it was served, so we dig in and finished the food from our plate. It was delicious 😋! They also had a meal for kids and served it with cute bunny and chicken designs with a little fruit cup on the side. It was really worth it.
Okay dito 👍🏻 ma-curry lahat may curry
Overpriced para sa itchura pero okay lang masarap naman
Babalikan ko eto pag nasa greenhills ulit kame
Tuna salad - 3.0
Pork cutlet with omelet curry - 4.0
Who wouldn't be hungry after shopping in Green Hills? It was my second time here in Manila and my cousin brought me to restaurants that are not in Cebu. This Japanese curry house was just outside of Connecticut area in Green hills and we were curious just passing by the shop since my cousin is also a foodie.
PLACE: when we were walking along the sidewalk looking for food, we saw this curry house. When we went in, the feeling is not like you are in a resto but more of like you are in a café or coffee shop. The ambience was warm and comfortable with the pastel yellow couches and chairs. Also, the lighting makes you feel cozy and home-ey. What we also lke about it here is that it was not crowded and peaceful. So Japanese-ey.
FOOD: we were really curious here since they put up some replicas of the foods they have and the serving was big! We had the Cheese Hamburger Curry, Pork Cutlet Omelette and thr Children's Curry. The cheese hamburger curry was the best! When they served it, we wonder where the cheese is so we asked then the waitress said that the cheese is inside the patty and so we cut it in half and the cheese was oozing! Also you can choose the curry level. The pork cutlet omelette was good too.
SERVICE: we love the service with ms. Rica serving us because she really answered and explained to us whenever we asked what this is or that is and she also has the best smile 😊 she was very friendly and accommodating and smiling that she deserve a tip! 😘 thank you very much Ms. Rica 😊
This is my second time trying this place. It is relatively new in greenhills located in the carpark arcade 1st floor right beside army navy.
Finally able to try this place again after a long time. The staff upon entering the store greeted us with warm welcome and all smiles. They would serve you immediately with water upon taking your seat. They were also attentive and would refill your water once your cup is empty.
I ordered the creamy mushroom omelette curry with standard spiciness which cost 305php. It is a good mixture of curry and creaminess altogether. The serving was also big that maybe 1.5 people (if that exists haha!) would be able to share one plate or maybe it was just too heavy. Haha! Would definitely try to increase the spiciness next time around.
We also shared eggplant and spinach curry rice gratin which also satisfied my taste buds. It was like lasagna in a Japanese way. A mixture of rice, curry, vegetables and cheese on top is just the way to make your stomach happy.
Finally, trying their new dish, naan bread with curry. I would say the mixture of their curry is really delicious overall. Maybe I would only complain that their naan bread is too small but still delicious. The bottom side is fried/toasted in a way that it will be crunchy even if it is dipped with curry.
My overall experience was wonderful! 😃

Their curry sauce is unbelievably tasty. 😍
It was my first time to eat here with a friend who has eaten here several times in Japan (favorite curry place). I was lucky that Coco Ichibanya is now here in Greenhills. I don't know how they made curry sauce to taste this delicious but you will not get sick (hindi ka masasawa) with the taste. The pork cutlet & the bread complements the curry sauce, to my surprise. I would love to try the beef curry some time soon. I love how the ambiance feels like 'Japan' - clean and modern.
I'm not a curry fan but this restaurant is just my happy place because their curry is THAT good. I eat here once or twice a month (I would eat as often as I can if they were a little bit cheaper) to satisfy curry cravings. My favorite is the pork cutlet omelette curry, level 4 spiciness. Cheese Hamburg is also a favorite. Spiciness levels I've tried are 3, 4 and 5. Level 3 is okay, level 5 is REALLY spicy so prepare your drink! Best curry in Manila! #TheQueenMuncherPH @the_queen_muncher
Coco Ichibanya is my favorite Japanese curry shop in the Philippines. Here in this Greenhills branch, it is smaller than their first one, in Estancia. Interior is almost same, with bottled spices and books as part of the decor.
I had their Pork Katsu Omelette Curry. It waa the perfect play of flavors and textures. The egg was moist and fluffy. The pork was crisp and tender. It was just a perfect dish, having it at level 3 spice level. I like adding pickles to my curry, adding a salty-umami flavor to it.
This is one of the better dish than just having katsu curry. The egg elevates the whole experience.
#TheFoodCrawlers #OngsFoodprints
coco Ichibanya is one of the authentic japanese curry that you can twitch the dish to your desire size and spice level. but there are quite some difference compared to the coco ichibanya in japan. but still its one of the great curry house here. ill definitly return.
Pork Cutlet Omelet Rice 🍛
Shrimp Curry Rice Gratin 🍛🍤
I loved the curry in this place so much, I felt that I really needed to make a review. Really wanted to visit this place since and I do not have any regrets. Ordered the pork cutlet omelette curry rice with tomato soup and it did not disappoint. I can't tolerate spicy food so I ordered it as "mild". You would literally finish the whole meal. From the sauce, to the way the eggs were cooked, to the rice down to the milk tea we ordered (great pair when eating curry, must try), everything was just spot-on for me. I will definitely try the Gratin when I come back and order it with their salad (try it with their citrus vinaigrette) Please do visit the place! I really, really recommend it!!
I've been meaning to visit Coco Ichibanya ever since it opened its first branch in Manila. Took me a while to visit, but it was worth the wait.
Ordered the Cheesy Beef Omelette for my first visit, and it didn't disappoint. All omelette meals come with just 200g of rice. You can't adjust the spice level for this item though. I can't take spicy food anyway, so this was good for me.
The omelette was creamy and flavorful. LOVED the curry/sauce so much, I ordered it again the next time.
Interiors are clean and service was fast 👍👍
I first tried Coco Ichibanya in Singapore and was thrilled to hear that it was openings its doors here in Manila. Definitely one of the top curry rice chains, everytime I eat at this place I order the "Extreme Hot" curry style and help myself to another extra bowl of Gohan 🍛💥🌶

Looking for a delighted curry house, we'll this might one the acceptable place in Metro. Yes it is a place for your craving tummy of curry. A Japanese restaurant that indulge me to eat curry although a bit pricey but the taste definitely eat until the drop of curry sauce. With a variety of meat, level of spiciness, a choice of side dishes is a nice comfort food for me. Servers are well trained and technology are infused when ordering very modern day of Japan. Try it now
Not a fan of curry but when i tried coco ichibanya i think im going to add curry on my regular menu. Their food are really aromatic and will make you ask for more. And the staff here in greenhills are the friendliest! Thumbs up for their customer service 😄
If you have been stationed in Okinawa for a bit then you must love Coco Ichibanaya. I'm not much of a curry fan to the point that I was just watching my Marine boyfriend eat this when we were at Siam Paragon (Bangkok). But yesterday, since I was at Greenhills, I thought about giving this a try!
When I went in, I was greeted by their friendly staff. They're very accommodating and knowledgable about the food they have unlike others who would say "I don't know" once you ask them something.
Service was really fast. I'm used to CoCo's having you wait for 20 minutes. But here, it was just 8-10 minutes.
I got their Chicken Cutlet (Mild Spicy) with Cheese Toppings and a 200g rice. Whoever thought about having curry + cheese is a total genius! It was perfect! I love how everything blends in perfectly well. Chicken cutlet was really tender. And oh, I got their full set meal which has soup, drinks, salad and desert. The japanese dressing of the salad is a bit salty but icecream ain't too sweet which is a good thing. The bacon soup is kinda bland which is okay for me. But for a person who loves tasty soups then it's not something you might like.
Overall, I paid for almost 600 pesos but it is worth it! I know it's a bit pricey but it is definitely a must try! Their location is also perfect and they have a nice ambiance so I'm giving it a 4.5.
It's my first time to hear of a restaurant specializing on curry. Everything is more than fantastic! We ordered chicken and shrimp gratan, hamburger with cheese, and curry sauce - which are very tasty!!!!! Service was very professional. We can eat there once a week, despite the busy scedule, but budget will hinder us.
Went for lunch here yesterday. Kind of surprised to see that the GH branch is a little different from the Estancia branch. Idk if it's just me but this branch has a more casual vibe and I like it better. Service is faster here, and I really mean fast but at the same time the servers are still very pleasant. Aside from their curry, another thing that I appreciate here is they always serve salad cold, and soup hot. Not all restos follow that simple rule. Will surely come back because I love Japanese curry!!!:)
CoCo Ichibanya has already opened 3 branches in the metro, with the promise of more branches to come... It was our first time to try the food at their Greenhills branch... Yey to a more convenient location!😃
The menu was a bit confusing for new patrons of the restaurant... Basically, you can choose from the rice or omurice meals with different proteins or veggies, which comes with a generous amount of Japanese curry... You can customize the heat level of your curry-- from mild to yowza! You can also choose from several add-ons to your basic meal... They offer anywhere from 2 to 4 add-ons (at different prices) in the form of salad, soup, dessert, and drinks-- to complete your meal... You can even mix and match proteins if you want... Lastly, you can opt to add even more toppings to your rice and protein combo! Items such as cheese, mushrooms, egg, cheese hamburger, sausages, eggplants, and more are available for even more flavor!😍
It's a simplified version of the extensive menu, for easy decision-making! There are lots of items available ala carte... But we kept it simple this visit. I just ordered the chicken cutlet curry rice topped with extra cheese at standard spicy level! bf ordered the pork curry omurice, medium spicy level...
We liked our respective orders! Japanese curry + cheese is a combo that is just right! I liked the standard spice level, knowing I can tolerate a bit more heat... The curry had layers upon layers of spices that made for an interesting mouthful! The chicken was bland on it's own, but I was thinking it might be on purpose... Too many flavors make for a confusing dish...😅
We didn't try anything else on the menu, but we were pretty happy with what we did try... Service was efficient and the staff were well-trained, polite, and attentive... It was a pleasant experience all in all! 😊

I haven't had a resto I've raved for in weeks. Thanks for our hungry appetites following our last minute Christmas shopping, we discovered Coco Ichibanya.
Delicious food, friendly staff and incredibly fast service even when the resto was quite packed - this is what we normally look for in a resto and i am completely satisfied with our visit.
On one of the walls it says good smell means good curry, and I couldn't agree more. Once we entered, we were welcomes with an overwhelming but delicious fragrance of high grade curry.
We ordered their Pork Cutlet in Medium Hot - I am impressed with the serving size. The pork, while not as soft as the ones from Yabu, was filling. The curry was perfect. It was like KFC's gravy, I was clamoring for more!
Next was the Shrimp Curry Rice Gratin - medium sized shrimps over Japanese rice mixed with cheese and special curry. The serving was quite smaller than the first we ordered but we scraped every last sauce from the plate! Whoever invented curry with cheese was a genius!
We upgraded our meal for an additional P100 to include tea, mini salad and ice cream. I advise you take advantage of this as this is a really good deal! The salad dressing was like that of Yabu's sesame dressing and the ice cream (strawberry & oreo) were both a perfect start and end to the tasty curry!
Kudos to the start taffeta who were so friendly. Refilling my glass for water without asking is one of the measures I use to judge service. Food came in fast and bill was delivered to us in seconds. I am extremely satisfied!
I am definitely going back soon to try their omelet options. It looked delish from other tables.
To the management, please do consider making the salad an unlimited option just like Yabu, that would jerk up my score to 5, I promise! :)
I love the idea that creamy taste of cheese and the spices of curry compliment each other! Plus, the refreshing calamansi iced tea! Will definitely go back to this resto.
Coco Ichibanya's curry aroma will surely welcome you upon entering the premise. They've got food display at the facade that will definitely lure in hungry guests to try their dishes. The place was clean and well-lit. The staff were also attentive.
If it's your first time, don't worry. The instructions on how to order your preferred dish was on top of their menu.
The Main Event
Eggplant & spinach curry rice Gratin
Stewed Shrimp Curry
Pork Curlet Curry
One good thing about Coco Ichibanya is that you can choose how much rice (measured in grams) you can eat. The serving size was good enough for one, depending on your appetite. There's a balance between the spice and curry flavor in one serving! I like how cheesy my gratin was, but they scrimped on the eggplant! Aside from that, my partner said that their extremely hot option wasn't that spicy enough. Nevertheless, all the dishes were great.
We were billed around P1100 for 3 pax, charges included.

One of the highlights of my food adventure here in the Philippines is discovering the presence of some of the brands I have grown to love in Southern California! At first I could not believe that we have CoCo ICHIBANYA here. /The/ CoCo ICHIBANYA. It meant that I had access to one of my comfort food - curry!
Japanese curry... IT IS! being that it was my first time there, I took the recommendation of shrimp cutlet curry and cheese hamburger curry... added a fried chicken salad too.
I love the curry sauce... my first bite consisted of the sauce and rice-- thumbs up! Flavor was spicy yet sweet... my next bite included the cutlet, thumbs up.. again!
My sister's cheese hamburger was good too!! The fried chicken salad with sesame dressing was good too. The empty container says it all.. Yuuuummmmy... can't wait to go back.
I can say that I am I curry convert. Before I am not fond of eating curry until I met my boyfriend. Sooo fast forward to today. I tried the newest resto at Greenhills. The ambiance is great and if you are hungry the food service here is fast! I ordered the tuna salad and squid salad for starters which by the way used fresh lettuce and yummy japanese dressing. For the main course pork cutlet curry, seafood curry and the beef omelet curry. All are very delicious! I have not been to Japan but my Dad worked there when he was young and it brought back memories when he used to live there. So this is the closest authentic japanese curry in town. Its a bit pricey and Im hoping they will add more flavorful curry dishes soon. ;)
I have to say. Their curry is one of the best I've tasted. Probably also the best one I've had so far. Nice ambiance, friendly staff, and most of all, their curry sauce is super! Now I understand why all my Japanese friends know and love this international brand.
