Ambiance
My friend Daphne was craving for what her friend recommends as Blueberry Cheesecake at Ara Mina’s (the actress) owned restaurant cafe. I inquired from a church mate where the Café was located and we were able to walk from church to the place. Climbing towards the second floor could give you a small workout. , the café is located on the second floor was a small feat. It was a homey place where you can eat your meals and desserts in peace. I think the adjacent eat all you can is not for us; at least not this time.
Food
Mandy’s Fried chicken (2 pieces P150) was crunchy but one of the two pieces of Fried Chicken came with a bit of blood; meaning it is still a bit undercook. Anyways, the server immediately brought it back to the kitchen and bring it back (better cooked this time).
Truffle Ara Pasta (P240) came with a sausage which was kind of weird. If it was cut into small pieces it would look better. This pasta tasted good but, if you would like to have that extra kick of spice do add some hot sauce as I did.
Mango Macaroni Salad (P95), this was my favorite all because it helpfully breaks the bit of saltiness from the salad itself. I again use hot sauce to make it more interesting.
Ara’s Red Velvet Cheesecake (P230 per slice), this cake came a bit short of my cheesecake expectation maybe because I am used to eating great tasting cheesecake. It was just okay but not phenomenal.
The dishes that we picked except for the Mango Macaroni salad were highly recommended because there was a heart shape icon beside the menu on each of these dishes.
Service
I could not find fault with the service because as soon we go inside the Café we were solicitously served with water. Since there are only two of us, the server arranges our respective paper placemats. All our orders came just in time before we even feel hungry. Kudos to the servers.

Hazelberry Café? All I think about is their apperitizing Oreo Cheesecake when I hear their name. Their japanese cheesecake is also a must try.
We have also tried their rice meals. The tapa is tender and I love their achara. Kare-kare is quite good too.
16.01.2019 First time. Good that they have proper parking space in the building. The interiors and ambiance are relaxing and cozy. The price for the food is reasonable. The fries were served hot and nice. The chicken was fried perfectly and the crispy kare kare was delicious. I liked that it is quiet and it’s a nice place to have dinner or light food/dessert and drinks while having catch up with old friends.
