My family and I had my much delayed birthday dinner last Sunday. The food was great. I loved the nori tempura and the maki. I also loved how they made an artwork out of the mayo. The wagyu beef was spot on and so was the katsudon. The service was great. The waiters even gave me free dessert and sang happy birthday to me because my mother said it was my birthday dinner even if it really was not my birthday at all.
I gave Soru Izakaya 5 stars because they serve good Japanese food and the look of the place is very nice. The price is also very reasonable. We were a group of 8 grown men and we only paid less than P5,000.00 with our tummies full. We did not skimp on our food and we all liked what we ordered. Service was also very good. The food was on time and presented very elegantly. The waiters were also attentive and did not skimp on giving us water when we requested it (this is lacking in most restaurants these days). They do not play loud music and you can watch HD NBA basketball on their TV. They also have parking space (not much but they do have). If you happen to pass by the Maginhawa food strip, do consider Soru Izakaya.
This easily became my husband and family's favorite restaurant! Best Japanese food especially their tempura!! We love this place so much we held our "Modern Pamamanhikan" here a few days before our Civil Wedding. :)
I love their ramen! And it’s located in a nice neighbor in Maginhawa Street :) a must-try also are their beverages. They sometimes have buy 1 take 1 for the drinks!

My fam and I have a very strong affinity towards Japanese food. As it is one of our favorite cuisines, more often than not, we end up choosing Japanese restos when dining out. Such was the case when we decided to eat out in the Maginhawa, QC area the weekend right before the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) was announced.
The ambiance is good especially for groups or families who are dining in. Not recommended if you want to eat alone although you can, but I think it is really a place for large groups (3 and above persons). As for the food, I have only tried their Black Tonkotsu Ramen. The noodles and chasu pork were okay, but the broth was good. Though I had to compare it with Ramen Nagi's Black King, which in my opinion, is still better and has almost the same price.
They serve a modern touch on traditional Japanese dishes. Serving sizes are a bit modest but filling. The menu may seem limited but prove to be authentic. Parking space is limited and by chance. Must try their grilled dishes especially beef as they’re so good!
I had a great experience here! The food is delicious and the service is swift. It's a bit pricey, but it's understandable. I especially enjoyed the ramen and the various appetizers. The ambience was cool and casual. I went here to celebrate a milestone and I was not disappointed.
Good food and service. Enough parking spaces for customers.
