The best Aglio Olio i've ever had!! I love that every food in the menu is the owners' favorite dish from friends, their travels, and their own recipes -- when it passes their high standards, it goes right down to the menu. Thank you for sharing your food finds its now my favorite place for meetings!! Great food, good price!
This place is highly recommended. Great foods and service. Kudos to Ryan and Alvin who assisted me and my family last night. Job well done guys!

Huge servings and great service. Pinangat stood out from everything we ordered. The coconut cream with gabi leaves blended perfectly well. Price is reasonable too! Though, i must say, pasta could be improved.
This place is a hidden gem of a cafe. Been passing through Cafe Escudero for like a million times and only recently did I have the fortune of trying it. Their food was surprisingly good and might I tell you, inexpensive. I ordered the fish and fries and I was delighted with how big their serving was. It was actually more than enough for two hungry tummies. I also had their cheesecake and it was cheesy, firm and surely made labouriously with love. I will be coming back regularly to Cafe Escudero. Oh wait, did I mention they have really fast wifi? :-)
Sorsoganon for Brunch @ Cafe Escudero:
- Cream of Pumpkin
- Cream of Mushroom
- Guinobatan Longganisa: similar to the vigan longganisa that we're familiar with. Served with garlic rice, 2 eggs, atsara, spiced vinegar and mango juice.
- Danggit Sorsogon: fried to a perfect crisp. Goes well with the spiced vinegar.
- Pinangat: addictingly spicy
- Chicken Binagoongan ala Albert: With just the right amount of heat, this is my favorite.
- Suman sa Ibus: skip this. It lacked the sweetness to be called a dessert.
We were excited to try their Rellenong Alimasag and Baluko (clams native to Sorsogon). Unfortunately, both were unavailable during our visit. We'll definitely come back for those soon.
Btw, kudos to the kuya assigned to our table. We got A+ service all throughout lunch, despite our eatigo discount (yay, half price for all food items!). He was friendly, courteous and efficient. We didn't even have to call his attention to have our glasses refilled and empty dishes removed from our table.
Me and my friend really loved our stay there, it was very quiet and cozy. The place is good for meetings. Kuya staff were kind. Hope we can visit here again soon!!

Spicy Baluko!!! For shellfish lovers out there, you must try out this dish! cooked like a bicol express for shellfish, this meal is so addicting that for the 4 or 5 times that I've been here, I ordered the same exact dish. Place is nice though every time we dined here, airconditing was not that okay and the temp was quite hot. All else is okay
I had a chance to eat here twice and I can say that their food is fair enough. Champorado is something that you may consider going back. Native Filipino dishes are also great. I just find their service need a little more improvement. There are not much of a diner but I still can't get a satisfying service.
Many keep on asking me why I like the place as there seem to be nothing extraordinary... I just find it an extension of my office. It was one of my frequent study area when I was in med school and during my residency when the place was still Figaro.
Owned by an Escudero, most of their friendly and efficient crew were maintained when the later coffee shop was closed and later on opened as this current cafe. Today, I usually visit the place when I need a quiet place to work on my lectures or for business meetings. Their coffee is not great though but decent.
It's actually more than just a cafe as they also offer local comfort dishes that are suprisingly good. A lot of the items in their menu are good Bicol-inspired dishes. They also offer great pork adobo, and adobo flakes silog; good thin crust classic pizza, and some decent pastas.
The place is a little musky though since it turns into a smoking area by 9pm. It's not an ideal place to bring kids at night. They also offer alcohol at night and occasionally, a variety of seasonal promotions (eg. Unlimited Wine).
