We chose this place because Starbucks is too crowded. At least here it was quiet.
I had a chocolate cake and an earl grey tea. I was surprised how big the cup is. Im not into tea but I need to start to drinking it so I decided to have one.
I think the only downside for me is that the table and chairs are not comfortable enough especially if you will be staying for a long time.
Hooray for CBTL's newest chocolate drinks! The Mexican Hot Chocolate, Mexican Chocolate Latte, and Mexican Chocolate Ice Blended! We got a chance to try 'em for FREE last Sunday during their open house. 1 REG drink per person. We ordered the Mexican Hot Chocolate and Mexican Chocolate Ice Blended. And it was yummyyy! I really love cinnamon and would often put it in my chocolate drinks so I definitely enjoyed their newest offering. The drinks were rich and sinful, and the cinnamon added spice and a nice kick to it. Try it for yourself! 🤤✨
Consistent. That's right, this place does exactly what a coffee shop is supposed to do and does it well. Fresh roasted beans, excellent pastries, quick service, and pleasant staff. Seriously, well-executed service from start to finish.
I grabbed a Caramel Macchiato and sank into my seat. The coffee was velvety smooth with the perfect balance of milk. The worst part was sipping the drink knowing it was coming to an end soon. Pastries are on point and always fresh.
There's free Wifi for Swirl cardholders and there's plenty of seating. Perfect for reading or doing some work from "home". Overall, a very chill place to enjoy some caffeine.
If I had to choose between Coffee Bean and Starbucks, I'd go with the former for the following reasons:
1. They have free unlimited WI-Fi access for their customers who have their Swirl card.
2. I find their food more delicious and more satisfying to eat. It's just sad that they replaced the stewed fruits with salad on my favorite Eggs Ben. You should also try their pasta dishes. Simply yummy!
3. I find their Green Tea Latte/Macha Green Tea is creamier than that of what they have at Starbucks.
I also hope that they would open a store say on Mindanao or on Congressional Avenue where I live near. Just saying. : )
Should you want some peace and quiet on a busy day in the streets of Cubao, this is the perfect place to stay in. I have been a big fan of their tea lattes but nothing beats a good old cup of coffee which one can enjoy anytime of the day.
