Located in Maginhawa St in QC. This spacious resto serves silogs, bbq meals, pasta, salads and sandwiches. The food was good. My sister really liked the Chicken Bbq. I ordered their Bangusilog. 🐟
The place was clean and could also be a great spot as a co-working space. They also have an open area bar. Parking which is a number one challenge in Maginhawa isn’t a problem here. The only thing I think they need to improve on is the waiting time for the food. It took some time for them to serve it. The nachos which was an appetizer also arrived at the same time with our main meals. 😅
Taking off one star because Tierra's committed a mortal sin in my book: some menu items were not available. Thank Goodness that their Bacon Beer Mug Burger is exactly what you need when having a few bottles or nursing a hangover: it's a heart attack in a bun with the bacon and fried egg, made tastier by the cheese sauce. The fries were decent too. And did I mention they have great desserts?
The place was really spacious, and they even have two restrooms that are really clean. It has good ambience for chilling out. You also have options to dine outside or with AC. The food was delicious, although I’m confused with the servings as they are not consistent with the other orders of pasta, but I guess they were consistent with the pricing.
Kangkong dip chicken bomb is the bomb!!!! I really love the place and the food. Although a bit pricey, the food is good! I love Kangkong dip chicken bomb because of the cheese! The Lemon chicken salad, too!
When my friends and I dropped by Tierra's, we were hoping it would be one of those random good finds along Maginhawa. The space was pretty large as they have an outdoor and indoor section. Being summer, of course we opted to sit inside.
After flipping through the menu, we could already kind of sense that it was a very generic-type of restaurant but since we were there, we ordered.
Grilled 4 Cheese with Jalapeno (P155)
I love grilled cheese sandwiches, this one was just okay. The portions were good though, as it was two sandwiches cut in half. It was cheesy but not as gooey as we'd hoped and also needed about 30% more jalapenos for it to really have made a difference with the flavor.
Kanto Balls (P155)
Being honest, we only ordered this because of the name. Of course, it was classic squid and fish balls with the sweet chili sauce. For the price though, we should've resisted our childish urges and have skipped ordering it. Lol.
Nothing on the menu really caught my eye aside from the Spanish Chorizo Pasta and Tuyo with Pesto Sun Dried Tomato, but they also seem like dishes that I could put together myself at home. It was a so-so experience and a bit forgetful, which is why I wouldn't see myself going back.
Food was good. Prices reasonable. Most mains aren't for sharing though, they're individual servings because they come with a side of rice. They have Geno's gabi ice cream from Bataan which is a plus.
However, not very senior citizen friendly. Per store policy, only 2 senior citizens can be accommodated the discount per table. That's not even legal. Anyway they found a way to accommodate all 7 senior citizens at the table after complaints. Staff is accommodating and nice, it's just that the store policy on senior citizens is problematic.
A new find! Loved the food. The salad was really good and serves 2. The ambience is so relaxed and they play good music. Price is also affordable. The staff are nice.
Went here for dessert after dinner. We enjoyed their carrot and chocolate fudge cake. We didnt expect the carrot cake though to have that amount of icing on top hehe.
It is spacious having a closed and open space. We noticed that i can also be a study and work place because plugs can be used by customers.
Would go back to try their meals which we noticed were cheap when we looked at the menu. To us the place looked fancy so we were surprised to know that their menu is actually affordable.
Food is not extra ordinary but affordable for it's price and serving. The reason I gave 5 are the following:
Nice ambiance - very spacious
Cleanliness - including their rest room
Accommodating staff - been here last week and I would say they have improved as oppose to the previous reviews that their staff are not well trained. So keep it up!
All in all, if you are looking for a hangout place in Maginhawa that is spacious and not overly crowded (which is usually the scenario on restaurants in Maginhawa) then Tierra's is where you can go.
Great food! Nice ambiance. Try the wagyu cubes... the best! Baked Salmon -- fantastic. Big servings reasonsbly priced. A little improvement on serving time but everything else was great.
Very chic interiors too 😊💋
