been having this for the past two weeks... trying out everything, whether dine-in or take-out. Food always hits the spot! taste is consistent and authentic. I die for their longanisa! and their bagnet... and their chicken bagnet... and their miki... heaven to my tastebuds! plus, the value for money? unbeatable. oops.. craving for an empanada now... thank god it's walking distance.
Authentic ilocano food, with the Best coffee in town in Soleste Suites Q.C.The staff are very accomodating.
I was looking for a place to eat lunch along our neighborhood when I remembered seeing this place which was only 1 block away from our house. So I decided to eat here despite having a price range higher for local cuisine. I ordered their Pinakbet and a side of rice for Php240.00. It does seem a bit pricey but hey, it’s a hotel restaurant. Nevertheless, I could say I got value for what I paid for. Since it’s only me eating, the serving was quite large but maybe just right for 2 persons. The Pinakbet was not your regular run-off the mill typical home cooking as it had more sass into it. It came with a decent portion of crispy fried pork bits and the sautéed vegetables blended well with the sauce. I am not sure whether it was alamang or what but it wasn’t too strong or salty, the flavor was rather homey of the Ilocos region if I may say so. It’s quite a small café but the place was simple & clean. Maybe will visit again with friends to try out more food. Overall it was fine and worth visiting.
Best Longganisa pizza I've tried in the city. I like it because the crust is thin. Tried also their Poqui-poqui pizza and it taste great! Aside from pizza, I also ordered Longganisa Burger and Pansit! Bagnet toppings is superb! So crunchy and tasty! A must try.
This is where I ate Ilocos empanda for the first time and I never regret it. It taste so good and a perfect match to their vinegar. They serve my order fresh and hot. I think this is a perfect place if you want to try authentic Ilocano's delicacies without going to Ilocos. Definitely coming back again to try their other foods.
By far, the best Ilocos Empanada I've tasted!!! The double double empanada will keep you coming bavk for more. 👍🏻 love the pinakbet & poqui poqui pizza 😊 lovely ambiance & great service! Value for your money 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
One way to understand another culture is to savor the cuisine. If we don't speak their language, syllabical and said so as if with great force, the perfection and time and passion and love devoted to offering the dish would be enough to understand the culture as a whole. Balay Ti Empanada offers us a taste of Ilocano culture and tradition. And every single bite brings me closer to the half of who I am.
This is my second time to try an Ilocos empanada, and because of the the Balay ti Empanada, it made me wanna eat it again. The one with langgonisa is sooooo go! Try it with their special sauce. Sarap!
Rated AA (Authentic Ilocano and Affordable). Didn't expect that a neighborhood restaurant, a corner away from our house, would be this good! So far, all that I've tried--Bagnet, Igado, Poqui-Poqui and Empanada--were cooked just the way an Ilocano like me would highly approve. One very satisfied and soon returning customer here.
