Ate at the SM North Edsa Branch.
(I've never written a restaurant review before but we enjoyed it so much so...)
I've been seeing the Dohtonbori posts for weeks and finally today, me and my beau were able to go. We booked a reservation via phonebooky (and got a discount *wink) because I've read that the waiting line takes a while. When we got there, fortunately, there wasn't a line. We were greeted warmly when we came in and requested to be seated in the tatami room. The place was great, the toilet was clean, the staff was accommodating, the food was AMAZIIIING. We ordered Deluxe Okonomiyaki, Quattro Formaggi pizza, Pork Yakiniku and Sakura ice cream (also got a free ice cream for answering a survey). Everything was delicious. At first, we let the staff, Angie, cook the okonomiyaki for us. She was very attentive, flipping the okonomiyaki at the needed moment. We cooked the rest of the food by ourselves. We exited the place, greeted us goodbye with smiles from all the staff. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Dohtonbori. We certainly will come back again! <3

Dohtonbori Greenhills branch is the best, its my 2nd time here n the staff were so polite n the food Is really good!!!!! I've worked in Japan for quite a long time been to a lot of restos there and I can say that dohtonbori never failed me when its come to the taste of the marinated meat yakiniku style n okonomiyaki is really good! Galing!!!
Great tasting Japanese fare. Their okonomiyaki made me miss such a treat that I enjoyed when I visited Osaka once upon a time. The preparation of this dish as the food server cooked it for you was also delight to watch. I also helped myself to their offering of gyudon with it perfectly cooked egg and japanese rice

Loved your hamburg cheeseteak
Its was Mom’s birthday.
We, the kids, had so much plans for her only to watch every single one fall apart. So, Mom and I ended up staying home. But by lunchtime, she barged into my room to inform me that she wanted to eat out and specifically demanded for Four Cheese Okonomiyaki (wasn’t able to pronounce it correctly). Upon hearing this, I pulled myself from my laptop and took her to Dohtonbori in UPTC.
I ordered her Four Cheese (our favorite) and Gyoza (first time to try this) and I, the Tonkotsu Ramen whose broth was rich and bursting with flavor and the noodles used, deliciously firm.
We were about to leave when the staff serenaded my Mom with a birthday song. Blissful she was and at the same time embarrassed, thanked everyone. She finished her birthday matcha ice cream which was for free. Thank you, Dohtonburi.
Dohtonbori still takes the top spot for okonomiyaki. The entire experience is great! We ordered their basic pork okonomiyaki and their yakisoba okonamiyaki. It was really filling and delicious. Would definitely be back!
The 道頓堀 (dōtonbori) area is Osaka's major destination for tourists looking to experience the full Japanese street culinary experience. Dohtonbori at UP Town Center succeeds in bringing the same experience and more to Katipunan.
What I had: Hiroshima Okonomiyaki
I love the ambiance and definitely the food here! The okonomiyaki is superb! Also had the shoyu ramen but you don't go here for the ramen. Would go back for another round of okonomiyaki! 😁
Dohtonbori offers authentic Izakaya feels. The japanese-style seating, the quaint decor, and the menu takes you to Japan! The only thing different is probably the customer service :(
Took a lot of time for our orders to be served.
We had their yakiniku, hamburg okonomiyaki, tempura and some miso soup. All of which were good!

Excited for their acclaimed dohtonburi experience, we came to this place at UPTC for dinner. Lucky for us to get a spot. The place seems smaller than other branches. We requested their staff to cook (infront) of us. I heard they can teach you how to do it but our company just wanted to eat than cook. :)
no doubt their okonomiyaki's great but the other kinds of jap food here is just okay. Great place too. Jap feels. not the type of jap resto that would make you come back again and again unless you're going for okonomiyaki.
Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba haven
Dohtonbori has established itself as one of the crave-worthy restaurants when it comes to okonomiyaki. The way they cook it in front of you gives another level of experience. Aside from that we've tried their other offerings:
-> The 'Mix Yakisoba' is really really good. I think the sauce and the noodles are their secret recipe. This particular yakisoba have squid, pork, shrimp and octopus which are different textures in the mouth. It all tastes good together.
-> The 'Chicken Karaage' is crunchy and tasty. The batter is not too salty but you can taste the flavor that complements the tenderness of the chicken.
-> They also offer alcoholic drinks here! We've got to try two flavors of their 'Chu-high' which are strawberry and yuzu.
