Ordered the tofu steak, marufuku futomaki and spicy tuna and spicy salmon. Good service and ambiance. It is quite expensive but fish is fresh
This place is amazing.
1. The ambiance would make you feel like you're actually in Japan. You would even catch yourself being surprised that you're in the heart of Ortigas once you step out of the place.
2. Sushi is yum! It's weird how sushi is basically raw fish amd seafood, but somehow the sushi here tastes so fresh. The spicy salmon sashimi is a must-try. 👍
3. BEST tofu steak I've ever had. The cut silken tofu wrapped in probably a thinly sliced beef belly, or maybe bacon (?) ,glazed with that sweet-savory sauce. Oh heaven. 🥰

If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese Restaurant, Marufuku is the place to be! Ordered Scallops, Shake Sashimi, Gyunikudon, Kani Salad and Sushi Rolls. It’s one of the most expensive Japanese restaurants I’ve ever been to but every peso spent is worth it!
Best Japanese restaurant in the Ortigas area. If you live in Makati this is nothing of note to make the trip for, but if you live in the Ortigas/Manda/San Juan area this is the closest you will get to comfort Japanese food in the area that isn’t smothered with mayo and called Aburi-everything. Little Baguio has Tomo, QC has Oedo, Ortigas has Marufuku!
...from new "off the menu" finds to classic straight up menu "must haves", Marufuku never fails to impress! the service crew know their trade and will go above and beyond to make you feel at home. try their sushi rolls and sashimi platters, you can never go wrong!
Love Marufuku. Ordered Marufuku roll, tempura, salsmon sashimi, grilled saba mackerel, beef yakiniku, waygu sticks and chahan rice and everything were great! Been here several times and always yummy food, nice and great service! 👍🏻❤️

We had a couple of things, their spicy salmon salad, their soft shelled crab maki, their yaki onigiri, and their Sapporo ramen. Out of all those things I'd have to say the onigiri was my favorite. It's also the most reasonably priced item, at 180 for two big onigiris. The rice was nice and crunchy and toasted, with salmon on the inside. Definitely something I'm getting if I eat there again. Their other items were okay, but too highly priced for me. On average everything else we had was 500 pesos apiece, which is a lot, when you can get equivalent items for less in equally good restaurants. Their spicy salmon salad was pretty big, but a lot of that heft is still just cabbage. It's good, but it's 440 pesos, which is a lot. Their soft shelled crab roll was just so so to me, could use some more flavor. At 545 or so, it's pretty up there in price. Their ramen was the one I liked the least, as the broth was a bit too liquid and bland, it didn't have the heft and depth of flavor I'm looking for. It was also 500+ pesos, which is quite a lot for ramen which doesn't stand out.
All in all, there's quality service and good food here, it's just probably overpriced for what it is.
I love this place. Besides the Japanese restaurants you find in hotels, there are a few good & authentic Japanese restaurants out there...... and Marufuku is definitely one of the good ones.
It may be a bit pricey but you get what you pay for, and they serve good quality Japanese dishes so I can’t complain.
