The best Shrimp scampi pasta! The rest of the menu is fantastic as well!
Tried out their Shrimp Scampi Alfredo. Taste was pretty good for its price. I only got disappointed when I found out they didn't take out the shrimp's shell before serving it. I thought it would be a better experience if the shell was already removed. Tastes good though!
Not too crowded but the taste of surf and turf is something that I would come back for. Both me and hubby agreed that food is awesome. I have ordered rice with my garlic shrimp but it was presented nicely with 2 tiny mountains of plain rice with buttered garlic on top....since I'm too excited to dive in sorry if pictures aren't available this time.
We ordered Garlic Shrimp Scampi.. The food was great, it was served on time, we didn't wait that long to be served. The crew assisted and attended our needs and requests. It's was our first time and for me, it was a great experience, the shrimp is well-cooked, though, the amount of serving was not that I expected. But, all in all, the food is worth a try. I recommend Shrimp Shack for those seafood (shrimp) lovers out there. :)
Food:
Garlic Shrimp Scampi - 4/5
Shiracha Garlic Shrimp Scampi - 4/5
Shrimp Tempura - 5/5
Green Mango Shake - 5/5
Iced Tea (Bottomless) - 3/5
This is the second time we ate at this place and the foods did not disappoint us. The last time we ate here was their Surf and Turf, which I will give a 5/5.
For me the bomb was the Shrimp Tempura and the Green Mango shake.
Service - 3/5
There's one waiter that we don't actually like because he was somewhat "mayabang" and was biased, giving foreigner guests a better seat. Like, we will also pay give us better seats! (We were given better seats by the other waiter so I'm happy). All of them were very attentive.
There was just this event lang that happened, which left me disappointed. It was when we asked for the price of the shrimp tempura since we want to make an additional order. The waitress told us it's Php188 (w/o rice), but in our bill we were charged Php195 (w/ rice). Our bad also for not checking the bill before we pay. We've noticed it once we were already outside the store.
Ambiance - 5/5
Their place is small but the ambiance is nice. It will give you Hawaiian / Beach feels.
Ambience: place is a little bit cramped, can get a tad too crowded for me when most tables are occupied. Staff are quick to offer outside seating, which is a good save.
Staff: very accommodating and quick on their feet. They know what's in the salad dressing so that for me is a plus (some still have to refer to the people in the kitchen whenever I ask if their salad dressings are cream-based).
Food: tasty and appropriate in size/amount. A bit too pricey for the whole effect though. We ordered this soup that was just plain tomato sauce (not puree or paste-- sauce) with bits of seafood in it, it was small and cost us P 80. We also got the marinara pasta, P 245 for a plateful. It tasted nice, very flavorful. Good amount, too. But too little seafood (it only had 3 teeny tiny shrimps in it).
Not somewhere I would deliberately leave the house/go to the mall for, but will eat in it again probably if all other places were full, closed, or if craving for seafood and they were the only ones serving seafood nearby.
It is the first time I have encountered The Shrimp Shack. We had the Garlic Shrimp Scampi and Shrimp Scampi Alfredo. Both dishes actually taste really good. The garlic shrimps were meaty, juicy, and flavorful although only small pieces (7 pcs) were served. I would prefer bigger shrimps and less rice (for the price of 245) though. The alfredo (P190) was cooked aldente. The sauce was generous in amount. It had the right amount of creaminess and the shrimp drizzled with lemon juice complimented it nicely. I liked the dish but not super loved it.
Located at the southwing of MOA. Restaurant with a good ambiance. Though table for 2 persons is too small. Menu is simple with pictures, so first time diners can have an idea on what to order. Tried Chili Garlic Shrimp Scampi (7pcs) - just the right kick of the spicy sauce, delicious, shrimp perfectly cooked. Also tried Grilled baby back ribs - the meat is sooòooo tender!!! The sauce of the ribs is sooooo good! They should rename the place "The Shrimp and Ribs Shack" Lol! The only downside for rice lovers like me is their "2 scoops of rice" - it is 1 cup of rice divided into two! 😜😜😜 But I will definitely come back to try other menu 😊
My overall review:
Ambiance - Good
Service - Very good
Food - Sumptuous
Value for money - just the right price for ribs I think. But a little bit pricey for the other menu and the serving is small.
Favorite resto ko to. Hihi maraming besesna ako nakapunta dito kasi masarap food tas nakakabusog pa. Surf and turf is
Small restaurant of seafood with free wifi.
I order surf & surf for the food and aloha for the drink. The taste of garlic is really strong in that menu. I like their aloha juice, so fresh and good combination with my food. This restaurant is so crowded. We must be patient to get the available seat. Wifi connection was so great. Their services was so nice!
I have always love shrimps. Gambas, Sinigang, Baked, however it's cooked, I just simply love it. So when I decided to try this resto, I was happy to say that my cravings got satisfied. Even the staff are friendly and attended to all my needs. I just wish their menu would have more diversity so they can offer more dishes. But overall, I was happy and satisfied.
