Tried out their Shrimp Scampi Alfredo. Taste was pretty good for its price. I only got disappointed when I found out they didn't take out the shrimp's shell before serving it. I thought it would be a better experience if the shell was already removed. Tastes good though!

Not too crowded but the taste of surf and turf is something that I would come back for. Both me and hubby agreed that food is awesome. I have ordered rice with my garlic shrimp but it was presented nicely with 2 tiny mountains of plain rice with buttered garlic on top....since I'm too excited to dive in sorry if pictures aren't available this time.

We ordered Garlic Shrimp Scampi.. The food was great, it was served on time, we didn't wait that long to be served. The crew assisted and attended our needs and requests. It's was our first time and for me, it was a great experience, the shrimp is well-cooked, though, the amount of serving was not that I expected. But, all in all, the food is worth a try. I recommend Shrimp Shack for those seafood (shrimp) lovers out there. :)

Food:

Garlic Shrimp Scampi - 4/5
Shiracha Garlic Shrimp Scampi - 4/5
Shrimp Tempura - 5/5
Green Mango Shake - 5/5
Iced Tea (Bottomless) - 3/5

This is the second time we ate at this place and the foods did not disappoint us. The last time we ate here was their Surf and Turf, which I will give a 5/5.
For me the bomb was the Shrimp Tempura and the Green Mango shake.

Service - 3/5

There's one waiter that we don't actually like because he was somewhat "mayabang" and was biased, giving foreigner guests a better seat. Like, we will also pay give us better seats! (We were given better seats by the other waiter so I'm happy). All of them were very attentive.
There was just this event lang that happened, which left me disappointed. It was when we asked for the price of the shrimp tempura since we want to make an additional order. The waitress told us it's Php188 (w/o rice), but in our bill we were charged Php195 (w/ rice). Our bad also for not checking the bill before we pay. We've noticed it once we were already outside the store.

Ambiance - 5/5

Their place is small but the ambiance is nice. It will give you Hawaiian / Beach feels.

Ambience: place is a little bit cramped, can get a tad too crowded for me when most tables are occupied. Staff are quick to offer outside seating, which is a good save.

Staff: very accommodating and quick on their feet. They know what's in the salad dressing so that for me is a plus (some still have to refer to the people in the kitchen whenever I ask if their salad dressings are cream-based).

Food: tasty and appropriate in size/amount. A bit too pricey for the whole effect though. We ordered this soup that was just plain tomato sauce (not puree or paste-- sauce) with bits of seafood in it, it was small and cost us P 80. We also got the marinara pasta, P 245 for a plateful. It tasted nice, very flavorful. Good amount, too. But too little seafood (it only had 3 teeny tiny shrimps in it).

Not somewhere I would deliberately leave the house/go to the mall for, but will eat in it again probably if all other places were full, closed, or if craving for seafood and they were the only ones serving seafood nearby.

It is the first time I have encountered The Shrimp Shack. We had the Garlic Shrimp Scampi and Shrimp Scampi Alfredo. Both dishes actually taste really good. The garlic shrimps were meaty, juicy, and flavorful although only small pieces (7 pcs) were served. I would prefer bigger shrimps and less rice (for the price of 245) though. The alfredo (P190) was cooked aldente. The sauce was generous in amount. It had the right amount of creaminess and the shrimp drizzled with lemon juice complimented it nicely. I liked the dish but not super loved it.

Located at the southwing of MOA. Restaurant with a good ambiance. Though table for 2 persons is too small. Menu is simple with pictures, so first time diners can have an idea on what to order. Tried Chili Garlic Shrimp Scampi (7pcs) - just the right kick of the spicy sauce, delicious, shrimp perfectly cooked. Also tried Grilled baby back ribs - the meat is sooòooo tender!!! The sauce of the ribs is sooooo good! They should rename the place "The Shrimp and Ribs Shack" Lol! The only downside for rice lovers like me is their "2 scoops of rice" - it is 1 cup of rice divided into two! 😜😜😜 But I will definitely come back to try other menu 😊

My overall review:
Ambiance - Good
Service - Very good
Food - Sumptuous
Value for money - just the right price for ribs I think. But a little bit pricey for the other menu and the serving is small.

Small restaurant of seafood with free wifi.
I order surf & surf for the food and aloha for the drink. The taste of garlic is really strong in that menu. I like their aloha juice, so fresh and good combination with my food. This restaurant is so crowded. We must be patient to get the available seat. Wifi connection was so great. Their services was so nice!

I have always love shrimps.  Gambas, Sinigang, Baked, however it's cooked, I just simply love it.  So when I decided to try this resto, I was happy to say that my cravings got satisfied.  Even the staff are friendly and attended to all my needs.  I just wish their menu would have more diversity so they can offer more dishes.  But overall, I was happy and satisfied.

After passing by this place way many times, i finally decided to try it. I am a shrimp lover. It is my favorite food.

Food 3/5
Service 4/5
Place 3.5/5
Price 3.5/5

I ordered Shrimp Alfredo. Nothing special. I've cooked way too many delish pastas than this. But it was ok. The shrimp had shells. It was saucy not creamy. More garlic would make it taste better. And butter. I like the quality of the pasta though.

This is my rating as of today. I'll see if it changes when I come back and try the rest of their dishes.

Another one of those places, you have walked by here a thousand times and just never stopped. Tonight I was glad we did, good and attentive service in a full restaurant is always a big plus. Good menu selection and not cluttered, we had the Shrimp Po'Boy and Garlic Chili Shrimp. The Po Boy was their take of a famous and popular sandwich in the southern USA. The Ciabatta bread added a different but acceptable slant and thief own sauce that was tasty and it was accompanied by shoestring fries. My only comment is add more shrimp, to make it more authentic for that price and increase your fries portion. Portions didn't match the price. The Garlic Chili Shrimp was fantastic and very well portioned with steamed rice and a great Garlic Chili sauce with a nice kick that was well worth the price. The pineapple shake an ice tea infused with pineapple were refreshing and not overpowered with sugar. You are almost there!

Satisfy your shrimp cravings at Shrimp Shack, MOA! Their food is so good! Has the right taste and amount and very affordable too considering the size of their serving (at least for me). Their interior has a beach vibe that matches their food. Though the place may get a little bit crowded given their location, MOA, which is always full of people, it still is a nice place to dine in. Plus their staff are also nice!

We ordered Surf and Turf (Choice of Garlic or Chili Garlic Shrimp,Angus Beef,Macaroni Salad and 2 scoops pf rice) and Surf and Surf (Choice of Garlic or Chili Garlic Shrimp,Shrimp Popcorn,Thai Sauce amd 2 scoops of rice) with iced tea (not typical powder concentrate) and Aloha Shake (new in menu). For dessert was a slice of vanilla ice cream in between crumbs and topped with bitter chocolate

FOOD: 4.5
Taste was to die for, and portioning was not overwhelming. The only flaw I saw was on the desert. I did not like the bitterness of the chocolate topping on the pie as it did not compliment well with everything. A bit more sweetness and things may have been better. A must try is their Aloha Shake.

PRICE: 5
900php for two is reasonable.

SERVICE: 4
Staff-on-duty were very attentive on our needs (especially in refilling my botomless iced tea). I just found their other staff preparing for the day's work to be quite distracting as they put their make up on and all in the customer area. It was unusually catchy to customers.

PLACE: 5
The size of the dining area is a bit small but the extension of more table and chairs outside could cover it. The experience dining inside is just way better as the good old surfer/beach house-theme was consistently present from wall to ceiling.

LOCATION: 4.5
It's not very noticable unless you have a very sneaky pair of eyes but luckily they are near an entrance/exit.

OVERALL: 4.5
The experience was fair and worthy of the price. Everything was close to perfection if not for a few flaws which definitely could be improved.

A small restaurant specializing in shrimp dishes. The place itself was designed like a small shack on the beach with surfboards and lifesaver flotation rings on the wall. The staff was courteous enough and very attentive. They even offered me to put my bags on an extra chair so I will be more comfortable in my seat. Food is served steaming hot from the kitchen. The place is clean though a bit small and can easily get crowded.

So I tried several dishes: first is the chili garlic scampi which is fried shrimp with a spicy hot garlic remoulade sauce. This dish is my favorite. I can eat this all day. The shrimp is served in the shell thus preserving the juiciness of the shrimps. And that amazing chili garlic remoulade sauce, I honestly think they should bottle this sauce and sell it. It's THAT good! The dish was served over two small cups of steamed rice. Then the shrimp po boy sandwich is fried shrimp served on a toasted ciabatta bread and with a garlic mayo sauce over it. Yummy too! the sandwich was served with a side of shoe string fries and ketchup which I think was a dip for the fries. Drinks were Aloha Juice which is a pineapple based fruit shake mix served in a mug that looks like a jar and TSS Iced Tea which is pineapple iced tea.

Portions were enough, not too small and not too large either. Price was just right considering how shrimps can be expensive. They also serve non shrimp items and also pasta. There are a lot of variety in the menu. I want to try them all.

Love the Garlic shrimp! The Chili Garlic is good, it's really spicy 😍 they serve it with two cups of rice. You can order 5pcs or the 7pcs shrimp, but I'm satisfied with the 5pcs. The place is small but it's okay. You and your friends can still fit there.

The music, wow, i really like music there. Soft, solemn songs. Mostly are covers, but Ed Sheeran tho 😍

I love seafood so much, good thing i don't have the so called seafood allergies. I consider shirmp as my top 3 favorites alongside with fish and crab.
Well i just passed by The Shrimp Shack located in MOA and decided to have my lunch here. The ambiance gives a relaxing hawaian feeling since interiors were also integrated like the surf board etc. Service crew were very much accommodating but i just felt that they should not have service charge anymore (since the dish itself is a bit pricey... Lol) .
And now, the king of the dish, shrimp. I ordered surf & surf, the shirmp was nicely sliced where in you can easily remove the meat. Taste wise is good but a little bit oily. Surprisingly, the rice was sticky rice like that of Japanese rice which i really liked.

I find this unique. The shrimp tastes good, garlic ish but not too salty. 2 cup of rice is the standard for every serving so if u love rice give it a go, i suggest you try garlic shrimp scampi, it has a chili version. Surf and turf is nice too. I like the macaroni side dish. I tried their baked mac but it did not impress me. Its a bit pricey for me, they serve 5 or 7 pieces of shrimps with 50 to 60 pesos difference, well maybe because im not a rice person and I look for more ulam but its okay though.

We ordered garlic shrimp , roasted pork belly and shrimp heads. Garlic shrimp was a bit salty for me thats why maybe they served it with 2 rice right away... roasted pork was delicious and very soft.. since mashed potato isnt available they replaced it with rice. Shrimp head was ok too as appetizers. Overall it was just ok for me...

When someone mentions Hawaiian food, the first thing that comes to mind is pineapple. In our country, anything that has pineapples on it are called "Hawaiian"--from pizza flavor to burgers and salads. Initially, I thought The Shrimp Shack was composed of pineapple based recipes on their menu but I turned out to be wrong. Back in the 50's, Ouahu's North Shore in Hawaii was not only famous for its sandy beaches and water sports but they also had shrimp trucks that attracts locals and tourists alike. Such is the kind of experience that The Shrimp Shack would like to capture for their customers to experience. With a goal to give their guests an authentic Hawaiian Shrimp Scampi experience, The Shrimp Shack Restaurant's specialties are Garlic-Shrimp Scampi and Chili Garlic Scampi. For those who aren't familiar with the said dish, Shrimp Scampi is originally an Italian-American dish composed of loads of garlic, olive oil, butter, white wine and spices. The Shrimp Shack also assures the shrimps' freshness as they only use fresh, local in-shell white shrimps. They follow what the locals of Oahu does--shrimps are best to suck it first to get its tasty flavor on your mouth, peel off the shell, eat and enjoy. So don't be surprised to see that in any of the shrimp dishes from The Shrimp Shack are unpeeled and still on their shell.

Now that you know well enough where and how The Shrimp Shack has began, let's move on to the said restaurant's vibe. The Shrimp Shack had that kind of ambiance that will make you feel like you were transported to one of those Oahu North Shore beaches in Hawaii. Walls were painted with a beach backdrop complete with "surfing signs" and huge colorful surf boards adorning their walls. In fact, The Shrimp Shack restaurant actually reminds me of one of my favorite Drew Barrymore films--"The 50 First Dates" with Adam Sandler, which was a love story shot in Hawaii.

For starters, we were served with Hawaiian Chicken Salad with Water Chestnuts. This salad sort of left me flabbergasted upon a spoonful. Usually, green salads had that citrusy-vinaigrette taste. But certainly this salad is an exception. It had minced carrots, chicken and greens alright, but what has surprised me the most was the overpowering taste of ginger on it. It was the first time I've had a green salad that had minced ginger. Well, perhaps I had always associated ginger with things like fried rice, Hainanese chicken etc. that I didn't saw the possibility that it could also be an ingredient in green salads. The experience was kind of strange for someone like me whose idea of salads revolves around balsamic vinegar + olive oil and other creamier popular dressings like ranch, thousand islands and the like. Just don't order this salad when you're on your first date, unless you'd want to have a dragon's breath that smells like ginger.

Next, we've had shrimp popcorn (Php195). This one is served literally as such--shrimps on a bed of popcorns. I could eat those shrimps just as fast as I eat popcorns. Those small breaded shrimps had flavors popped just right into my mouth. How good was it? I should say that only a few minutes after it was served, all the shrimps had totally gone.

Then, after we've had the shrimp popcorns, we were served with Tomato-Cheese Fondue with Nacho chips (Php145). I loved that this appetizer didn't had any complicated ingredient. Made from honest-to-goodness melted cheese with minced tomatoes and onions, you could simply dig into the cheese using the nacho chip triangles and enjoy the food. Be careful though because it's served on a hot plate similar to sizzling plate.

We've also tried some of The Shrimp Shacks sandwiches and pasta dishes. I'd highly recommend the Shrimp Scampi Spaghetti (Php220). Loaded with minced garlic and shrimps in olive oil and al dente pasta, this was the dish that has truly made my day. It was sooo good that I think I could eat it again and again. It had the natural sweetness of shelled shrimps bursts its own flavor + add the generous garlic and olive oil into it--it had that sweet yet a bit salty and some umami taste. If there's one dish (no, make them two dishes because if you do away with the pasta, this dish would then be called Shrimp Scampi) I'd certainly come back for at The Shrimp Shack, this has to be it! Other foodie bloggers didn't liked the fact that the shrimps were still on their shells, but according to my well-traveled friend, they also practice the same thing in Italy to ensure and sealed-in the shrimps' flavor.

We've also tried The Shrimp Shack's Shrimp Po-Boy Sandwich (Php185) which was pretty much the same thing with shrimp popcorn except that it's served with lettuce and tomatoes. Then, we devoured on US Angus Cheese Burger (Pho265). To be perfectly honest, I was a bit disappointed with their patty because it was way too bland for my taste. It had tomato, lettuce and cheese--but it seemed to lack in taste.

I was a bit disappointed too when we've tried The Pot Roast Belly (Php285) because it also tasted bland. The meat was so tender with a demi glace brown sauce or gravy served with mashed potatoes. But the demi glace didn't seemed to do much justice to the said dish. The fork tender meat wasn't as impressive as it's supposed to be because it's bland. For the next dish called US Angus Beef Steak Loko Moko (Php255)--which had a beef patty on a rice mound with a fried egg on top. The patty this time had more flavors, a bit peppery but still good.

Soy Glaced Chicken Barbecue is similar to Chicken Teriyaki. This one's best eaten with a side dish of Macaroni Salad (Php45). Moist and tender, it goes well with The Shrimp Shack's addicting pineapple blended house iced tea.

Although some of their dishes weren't exactly standouts, their desserts had a different story. The Apple Crisp ala Mode (Php130) was truly delicious. Served on a hot plate with crumbles and thin apple slices with a scoop of yummy vanilla ice cream on top--it deserves a space into your stomach after a meal. Not to be outdone is my new dessert favorite, Butter Mud Pie (Php130). An enticing square of Butter Pie with chocolate crumbs and ice cream with oozing chocolate sauce--every chocoholic's dream indeed. I'm no fan of chocolate but I'd love to eat this one whenever I can. It was sooo good, I even compared it to T.G.IFridays' Mud Slide dessert. And hands down, The Shrimp Shack's Butter Mud Pie is a whole lot better than theirs. I know it's not fair to compare them, but I just couldn't help it because they look almost the same.

In a nutshell, I'd definitely recommend The Shrimp Shack's Shrimp Scampi (regardless if it's the chili garlic variant or the ordinary one or even when it's on top of a pasta spaghetti) because it's fresh and had that naturally sweet and salty after-taste. I'd also come back for their desserts because they perfectly cap off our meals and for some they might find them addicting. For that Hawaiian-beach vibe, helpful and friendly staff in Hawaiian hibiscus printed polo shirts and cool ambiance, The Shrimp Shack is one nice place to kick back and relax and to simply savor the shrimps as you suck, peel, eat and enjoy!

Just after having a meeting in the senate and an early activity in the Supreme Court, I felt the need to eat something good for the day. MOA is just near from Senate and we don't have the strength to drive anymore, Shrimp Shack catched our attention. The place looks like a shack in the beaches of Hawaii. We tried their Shrimp scampi (buttered garlic shrimp). The food is nice and not too salty. Just the right serving for us. Their iced tea is served in a cute jar; it has been a thing in several restos now that they serve drinks in a not so conventional glass. This place is worth a try.
