To those who are constantly looking for good value for money, good food and superb customer service, I definitely recommend this place. I decided to have my husband’s surprise birthday celebration at The Grill last weekend to deviate from the usual restaurant dining experience. It was definitely a success, big thanks to Misty, Danica and the rest of the staff for accommodating all our requests. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. All the guests enjoyed the generous serving of the food and the ambiance of the place. Perfect for intimate and private gatherings. We will definitely go back. You should try it too!

Value for money, hygienic street food and the desserts were generously portioned!! :) Maybe let's add in some vegetarian skewers? It won't be for all but it'll be a good addition to those who can't have meat in a carnivorous wondrous grill place. Barn house grill Concept is also refreshing from all the usual restos in BF homes.

Mechado was definitely unforgettable. I loved everything we ordered: tuna sisig, mechado, sizzling pusit, karekareng bagnet, dinakdakan, and mango kani salad. Will be back for sure!

Great bar serving good variety of local dishes. Loved their tomahawk pork chop, lightly seasoned and very tender. Tempura was also nice. This bar is bright, not cramped, and has parking in front. Good for Tito and Titas to chillax without the annoying teens. 😉

We came here wanting to avoid eating at the same places again. Yes, as plentiful as restaurants are in BF, we just keep going back to the same places so our attempt to eat our way through the city has barely progressed. But when we saw The Grill, we thought, "what the hell?" and pulled into the parking lot.

The interior is a mish-mash of classic pop culture ( I wanted to pocket this Beatles memorabilia), and the staff is very accommodating and friendly. But we're here to discuss food, right?

We ordered the mango-kani salad, classic liempo, bacon and cheese potato halves, The Grill ribs, classic sisig, mashed potatoes, and mushroom gravy.

The sisig was my favorite, hands down. Not only was it seasoned well; it had a nice crunch to it, too. The classic liempo's marinade was simple but on point, and the rind was crisp and the meat tender. As much as I don't like sweet marinade, I tried the ribs anyway and noticed how fall-off-the-bone tender the meat was. The salad was fresh, and the mashed potato with the gravy was a more than adequate sub for rice.

The only one I didn't enjoy much was the one I had the highest hopes for. The potato halves had a creamy topping (mayonnaise, I think) that overwhelmed the things and made them unappealingly sweet, so the bacon was hardly coming through. The cheese on top didn't really do much to improve things; I had to give mine away after one bite.

I absolutely would come back here again and would recommend that you give it a shot if you're in town.

I was wondering why Balai Ilocos has been permanently closed; this could be the reason why.

The Grill is a sister-restaurant and they have expanded the menu-base beyond the usual Filipino dishes from the previous resto.

My Thoughts

Food
I enjoyed the cheesy potatoes.
The sisig and butterflied fish were okay.
The baby back ribs is tender and delicious but has more bones than meat.

Price
Price-wise, just within the average but not budget-friendly.

Service
It’s quite fine; not fast-food speed style but not too slow either.

Ambiance
I like the classy vintage-vibe interior.

Parking
Parking space is sufficient.

Took a 45min drive because we were craving for roast beef. Ended up having free food as they were celebrating. We ordered more on top of the free food. Their pork barbeque was the bomb! Roast beef wasn't really as good - no garlic and mushrooms as shown in one review. Great staff, friendly owner, good food and really cool looking place. Since no AC, best to go at night when it's breezy. Will definitely go back.

Pretty good hang out spot if you want to chill and have some peace while having a cold beer. The BBQ here is pretty good. I always come back here for a night cap.

Friendly staff. Great home made BBQ recipes. Cheap beers. Had the T chops, tried the ribs, bbq, isaw. Generous servings well priced. Open air but not so smokey... Very good first impression. Above expectations for a bbq place. Hence 4.0 Add the BBZ (not available) and will get higher!

Clean (I guess because it's still newly opened), and interiors are one of a kind. The CR has palettes om tje wall, urinal is a beer keg.

There's an option to grill your own food, but we ordered already cooked.

We had inasal, tomahawk, chicken & pork isaw, and barbecue.:)

Riding on the wave of specialty grill and barbecue joints along Aguirre, The Grill is the newest addition to this food street. Located away from the busy side of BF, you won't miss its distinct industrial feel exteriors, standing out like a prominent landmark.

The menu, obviously, centers on grilled items. It seeks to elevate the humble tusok-tusok street barbecue to a totally new dining experience.

Highs:
1. Peppa Face: My ultimate street food fave (inihaw na tenga / pisngi) getting a pampering here. The cuts are fatty and tender, with the cartilaginous crunch in between. The marinade is salty but still cloyingly sweet. Unmistakable is the smokey flavor, proving their good grilling techniques.

2. Pork barbecue: Generous cuts of tender pork, smothered in that distinct flavorful marinade. Highly enjoyable, and you'll find yourself not stopping at q stick. Best paired with rice, you bet.

3. Tomahawk Porkchop: Instagram worthy slab of porky sinfulness. Keeping the bone-in lets the flavor out well. The meat, surprisingly devoid of that now legendary marinade, still holds it own with just a light touch of salt and pepper. What stands out is that smokey taste and the juicy portions. Best shared, but then again..

Lows:
1. Roast beef: Not a big fan of this. The meat was tender but lacked flavor if not for the gravy on top.

2. T-Bone steak: A disaster. The server failed to ask for doneness, and the griller proceeded to cook it well done. Came out tough and difficult to down. Such a pity since it was quite smokey in flavor.

3. Maruya: A classic Pinoy meryenda / dessert with a chocolatey twist. Would have been a great idea, but the banana cuts were too far in between. Felt like eating fried dough and nothing more.

4. Ventilation: No airconditioning whatsoever, hence they only open at dusk. The place is sure to be sweltering in summer, and even smokey with the grill area quite near the dining tables. Maybe part of its charm is coming home smelling like the food you just had.

5. Service: Be prepared to wait quite a while since dishes are grilled on the spot. Beware of peak days also.

The Grill is a meat-lover's paradise. The marinade, likely a secret concoction, is already legendary in my books. Despite being the newest kid in this block, it has steadily gained its own loyal followers, with an admirable twists on classic Pinoy grilled food. I hope they add some more seafood items on the menu soon to complete the cast. This is one grill that will be smoking all night long.
