I especially love their Chicken in salted egg because of its equisite taste. If you are looking for a high quality Chinese cuisine but with a relaxing and quiet environment, Zong is the way to go. The staff are friendly and attentive. I would definitely go back to eat here again and again.
Big servings! I love their YangChow fried rice... tastes authentic. Our favorites: fish with floss, salted egg chicken, green beans with pork! Always my family’s go to, when hungry. 💖
Food was great , service was fabulous , it was a nice experience I love it..the staff were verry accomodating and pleasant..its a great place to eat when in the Alabang...
Zong is a decent chinese restaurant that serves a mix of your chinese delicacies from all over china and versions of it abroad. I ordered the scallop siu mai a which despite just being 3 pieces was packed and rich with flavor. The deep fried prawn in salted egg batter was a delight, its crispy but has the coarse sweet and salty texture of salted egg which makes it such a treat. We ordered the 5 spice fried chicken which was your typical chinese fried chicken. Its a little pricey but the servings are generous enough to last you till your next full meal.

Been here a couple of times
Food is great
just like northpark menu for food choices
Nice setup for dining - a little classy and themed compared to northpark and other chinese restaurants
Value for money - average
Easily one of the best go to places for really good Chinese food, You can never go wrong with their feast of dimsum and other delectable entrees that you can find. Their hakao and sio mai is something you would order to warm up your taste buds and yes I would definitely go back here for my quick fix.
Zong is one of the reasons our parent's Golden wedding anniversary went well! They were all very accomodating especially Jun! And their food is exquisite! I love the ambiance and I know that I will come back again!
I was equally blessed upon meeting the woman behind the famous Jonas Pares, Lolly Tiu, when I first dined at the said restaurant in the BGC branch. She was introduced by a friend and it was mentioned that she also owns a Chinese restaurant in Westgate Alabang named Zong. So when the perfect time for us to visit Alabang, I made sure that it has to be visited.
You know Chinese food is best when you're with a large group and when celebrating special occassions with the family. Now Zong Restaurant proves to be a hole-in-the-wall spot when it comes to casual Chinese Dining.
Zong interiors are minimalist. The restaurant door opens to a staircase on the left hand side leading to a function room upstairs that can accommodate 60 heads on special occassions. The bamboo plants below the stairs gives color to the dining area on the ground floor, which in turn is a mix of light-colored stools and chair plus cushioned backseats with light-colored wooden tables. Zong combines Chinese wall decor pieces with modern furniture with minimalist lines.
We got to try out a few dishes from Zong's menu last week and here they are:
With the salted egg and crisp breading, this Chicken in Salted Egg Yolk recipe (P 398) brings your taste bud to life! It is great recipe to accompany with rice. This salty, juicy and crispy perfection sure is a crowd pleaser.
Steamed Milkfish with Garlic (P 438) is a fresh take on seafood. It was infused with a light sauce and sprinkled with roasted garlic bits on top, making it so garlicky!
Sauteed Brocolli with Fresh Scallops (P 398) is something new to me. I don't know that blanched broccoli with scallops in a sauce makes a great dish!
Our gustatory experience wouldn't be complete without fried rice! Yang Chow Fried Rice (P 298) comes with a variety of ingredients like bite-sized shrimp, scallops, diced Chinese sausage eggs and green onion--making it a complete meal in itself.
Fujian Style Rice with Scallops (P 298) is the ultimate comfort food! It is.similar to regular fried rice except that it is served with a delicious sauce spread over its top. Fujian fried rice comes with a variety of ingredients, such as shrimp, scallops, mushrooms, carrots and chopped onion leaves. I so love the sauce's savory taste! I highly recommend this Fujian Rice to anyone visiting Zong for the first time!
Hop over to Zong and get a taste of Chef Pierre Tan's droolworthy, delicious, and homey dishes!
