What's incredible about DITO is that it hosts various events that promote artists and their different art forms (painting workshops, art bazaars, theatrical productions, among others), and yet the food and service are spot on as well. It has managed to marry and run its advocacy and business side seamlessly.
Order the Potato 3 Ways for an appetizer, and be blown away by a monstrous plate of potato chips, fries and waffle cut that can feed a small army (for 200PhP+). Try the pesto, delicious and affordable (under 200), or a rice meal (beef, chicken and fish all represented!). Nothing too pricey on this menu. They have a decent selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non-.
The place itself is incredibly unique- right now their floors are painted with Van Gogh's The Starry Night, the walls are teeming with artwork by different artists, there's a section where you can pull up a book from the shelf and read, or check for a board game to play with your friends.
There is a section of the cafe that is used to mount stage plays, musicals and other performance art events. Several times a year you could catch a show at this place, both classic and one-of-a kind productions.
Drop by to appreciate the many things this place has to offer!

100 steps away from home.. cool and cozy place for my kids to hang out.. love it here.. art busog..kwela...!
I love this place. the owners and staff are all so friendly and it feels like home kaagad.
Then there is a theater, so you get cultured and board games to play lots. Perfect.
Thank you guys!
First time in this place with my co-teachers. We enjoyed the unique ambiance for artist enthusiasts. It’s just one walk away from my workplace so we might go here often. I like the idea of bring your own brush thingy for painters slash calligraphy artist. Paintings, floor designs, books and the small theater inside. It’s a must for all artist there! Foods and drinks are thumbs up!❤️
the rating is for the place, not their food as we didn't order anything other than drinks cos food isn't allowed inside the closed area designated for shows. perfect place for art enthusiasts, there are books, artworks, and you can even watch plays here. (watched my friends' benefit show here) the only thing i didn't like is their restroom which was so dirty and smelly. there's also no sign on the doors to indicate which one's for men and which one's for women.
DITO is one of the most unique dining establishments in Marikina as it isn't just a place where you can eat, but also appreciate art, play board games, or even watch plays. They have savory dishes and sweets, but what I like the most is their line of drinks, especially their coffee.
Their coffee will really make you awake and they serve it in a tall mug. We just don't like their sweets. The place is actually a hub for those who are fond of art and performance. They allow budding artists to showcase their artworks. They also have a space that you can stage a one-act plays.
place to be! great for hanging out with friends, intellectual dates, artsy fun. lots of cards and boardgames. they host plays every now and then or art activities. food is great too!
This place. I cannot express how I love DITO: Bahay ng Sining. Not just because of the venue, the things they can offer. I love it because I love the people behind it. Now, you may think that this review is biased; it's not.
The first time I went here was in April of last year. The H and I witnessed a proposal. BJ (the owner), asked us if we wanted to be part of the audience. Anyway, to make the long story short: she said yes.
I fell in love with the books, the card and boardgames, the cheap booze, and the feel of the place. It has this warm and welcoming feel, especially for artists and art enthusiasts. They cater, pretty much, to this audience. You can rent the whole space or the theater area; yes, people, they do have a theater area where they stage awesome plays! I remember the Ateneo choir renting it for their Christmas party, if I remember correctly, last year.
The food on the menu has changed, but their best-seller is still on it. I'd like to believe that their best-seller is their carbonara. It's not salty, it's not bland. The cream doesn't stick to the pasta, thus, not making it too heavy. Their Balls Ng Sining (smores balls) are back on the menu and people need to try this when they visit DITO.
One order of pasta is Php 125.
Their rice meals is a must-try, too! Especially their chicken! One order is 150 Php, if I'm not mistaken.
For starters, you ought to try... Simply everything. I'd recommend the cabbage rolls, since I'm a big fan of those rolls! :>
Pasta and rice meals come with a glass of iced tea. And, you might want to try their butterscotch (40Php) along with Balls Ng Sining (50Php/3pcs) for dessert!
I don't know if they're offering their nachos for a limited time only, but if you do visit DITO soon, you might want to share a platter with a friend or two, as well! :)
I am so happy they are still open. Once you enter DITO and make friends with the people there, you will never stop coming back. Trust me, I know. :)
