They really have a LARGE serving. This is the time when you will "complain"—in a good and funny way—that the actual size does not look like the ones being displayed. I like the juiciness of the boneless chicken. Sauce and gravy are quite good.
I tried their spicy burger and it was really good. Though it wasn't as spicy as I expected, it was really flavorful. The fries was also good, though it wasn't that hot when it was served. Overall, I would buy this again.

I enjoyed this one really since I was able to taste a piece. I would order it when I happen to come here again. It is very crispy and I am really a fan of gravy and they have their own take. I would have to eat 2 cups of rice for the big piece of chicken steak. Yummy and affordable!
Very tasty especially the chilli pepper flavored chicken. Reminds me of my taiwan travel last March. Rice served was not enough for the size of the chicken. Will definitely go back to try other flavors.
Always a pleasure to eat here. The servings are, of course, very large and very much to my liking. The accompanying rice might not be proportional to the size of your chicken though so best to add an extra order.
The fish and chips aren't too bad either. For those looking to fast during the Lenten season, this could serve you well.
This should be 3.5 but there's no option to rate that way anymore.
Their chicken meal is quite "different" when compared with what we Pinoys are used to. Such difference can either be good or bad, depending on your palate. For me, it was okay. Pricing is not any better than the popular brands though.
Service and location (as well as ambiance) is just fine too; after all, it's in SM.

This has been my favorite streetfood in taiwan. Thank God it was brought here in the Philippines. It is totally food and when you have it for take out, baked it on the oven and it tastes better!!! Legit!
Very good! Relatively cheap for something new and filling. Red hot is not really THAT spicy, if you’re a lover of all things hot. Size and flavor is worth it!
Bigger than I expected.
Been wanting to try this for the longest time.
Got the original large chicken with barbeque sauce as per the cashier's recommendation (coz the superstar is not available) and I swear the chicken was bigger than my hand, dwarfed the rice and the gravy. Not a fillet at all, it was like the breast part of the chicken was just flattened, bones and all.
Did not touch the gravy since it kinda neutralized the barbeque flavor of the sauce (and I love gravy)
Blue lemonade was good and the fries were great.
Reasonable price too.
Thumbs up for Hot Star, Taiwan.
I asked my wife to try this very large fried chicken fillet I saw from one of the customer when we went to eat at SM Megamall. So we tried their Superstar Fried chicken that comes with Rice for 165 large plus a regular drinks for additional 35 pesos.
The fried chicken is good and large, meat is tender and moist on the inside. You can still see juices when you cut the chicken. But crispy on the outside. The gravy is not bad. Rice serving is a bit small. It's a bit pricey for me to spend on food court. But I liked the fried chicken.
Ambience is not bad since it's on the food court so you'll never run out of seats.
Overall still a good experience. We'll come back to try other flavors of their chicken!
