Who says that you can't play with your food? š¤
Not me! Ice cream is a delight, especially during hot days. Downside though is that it melts just as quickly into a sticky puddle of gooey mess. But that doesn't stop me. I still love my ice cream, melted and all.
Using the idea of mess as my inspiration for today's food styling, I took apart the basic elements of an ice creamā cone, ice cream and toppingsā using my favorite tea-based flavors from Merry Moo, which are:
ā¤ļø Thai Tea: this one has all the makings of a good Thai Milk Teaā bold and exciting flavors, tempered with the sweetness of condensed milkā paired with the rich taste of locally-sourced Laguna Milk. Unlike most paltry options that are too milky for my liking, the taste of the tea really shines here.
ā¤ļø Earl Gray Tea: a Western floral tea that I enjoy drinking during teatime, their ice cream flavor captures the essence of freshly brewed tea, complete with the splash of milk. Although creamier than the classic tea, it has a sweetness that melds with the flowery bitterness quite well.
Now what I do love about Merry Moo is that their milk is freshly churned and filled with nutritional goodness cause itās non-UHT. Only the best to make these ice cream flavors come alive!
Thanks for sending these over! š®
Donāt you find it puzzling that just when technology is advancing in such a fast pace, where in the world we live in we are always glued to our phones, where life gets chaotic, some just wants to take a step back and live in the past, the old school ways. But living less, simpler, how they did it in the old days, without all the hustle and bustle is more. Yes, itās true that less is more, in that matter. But more of it, more of all the simpler ways incorporated into our lifestyle is better, and thatās a fact.
Amazing how one scoop of ice cream can generate such joy. Described wittily as 'udderly' delicious. It was indeed so with texture as silky as sin and taste as scrumptious. I heard somewhere that the secret to a fantastic ice cream is the milk and/or milk fats. Based on Merry Moo's website, their milkĀ were sourced from a farm in Laguna
Looking at the ice cream flavors they offer will surely excite your palate. They have interesting combinations like strawberry basil, horlick, cheesy mamon and others. This homemade ice cream is done only in smallĀ batches toĀ guarantee freshness. My all time favorite is the Avocado Ice Cream and Sea Salted Caramel. The flavor is subtle, not too sweet and the texture of ice cream is very smooth and creamy. The thai milk tea flavor tastes satisfyingly good.Ā 115 php for two large scoops is worth the money.
The only downside is the location, its just a kiosk here in megamall. No chairs and tables available.
I'm not gonna lie Baskin Robbins and Cold Stone WAS my favorite place to get ice cream but when I got to try Merry Moo mhmmm it all changed š
My first artisanal ice cream love. Iām glad theyāve finally decided to branch out. I could only sample this mouthwatering goodness at Mercato, BGC when they first opened. And since then, Iāve been a fan. Salted caramel is an easy favorite but strawberry basil is a good alternative if you want something less decadent. If youāre feeling adventurous, ask the helpful server to give you samples of all the flavors. You can also buy it in pints, Iāve seen some supermarkets carrying Merry Moo so be on the lookout on your next grocery run!
Ordered the cheesecake something flavor. It was really delicious and I couldnt actually stop eating it. It's my true love. Will order a pint soon.

Well, seems like merry moo in SM Aura has been closed and that is where I had tasted merry moo's sea salt caramel. It was fun to have a taste of it. I wished I ordered for 2 scoops. Sea salt caramel was one of their best sellers and avocado as well. So you better check it out and it's affordable compared to other gelato stores.
Temptation got me so I bought Black Sesame Oreo on the way home. It looks a bit like cookies and cream but tastes better. The black sesame flavor had an intimidating kick at first bite but It goes away after a few more scoops.
Their ice cream is pricy but it's worth it. I love their avocado flavor. I just remembered my childhood days when we use to do avocado shakes. Merry Moo did it 1000 times better. It's really creamy and the avocado flavor is rich and dominant. I will definitely be back for more!!!
As good as Carmen's Best but at a lower price point, Merry Moo has become one of my preferred ice cream brands in the market. They offer a pleasing array of flavors, of which Earl Grey, Avocado, and Salted Caramel are my top picks. The consistency is luscious and creamy. A serving with two scoops after a meal is filling enough, but a tub may be more welcomed if snacking! What a treat it would be if they came up with tart flavors, too.
One of my favorite ice creams in town.
I super love their Sea Salt Caramel ice cream. It's yummy and creamy and really affordable, as well. We always go back here whenever I forget my calorie count obsession and needs a little sugar to lighten up my mood.
But I don't wanna try their candied bacon again. It feels weird eating it.
So creamy! And it doesn't melt right away. We got the miso butterscotch which tasted awesome. It was savoury and sweet at the same time. Not at all boring. I would
I love how they have a lot of unique ice cream flavors. Their ice cream is really thick and creamy. On their sea salt caramel offering, you can still see and feel the rock salt in its square form!
I used to see this in Mercato but never had a chance to try it. Out of curiousity, since they had already branch out we had a chance to try this one in Megamall. They have a small kiosk near the elevator.
We first tried their Horlicks, it has Malteaser Bits and tasted somehow Salted Caramel. During our second time, we ordered their Triple Berry and it's my favorite which has Blackberry, Blueberry and Strawberry. Overall, their ice creams were good. Since it's a home made ice cream so it's not just a typical ice cream, it was creamy and thick. It wasn't too sweet because they use pure ingredients. They offer unique flavors. It has similarity to Mad Mark's ice cream.
The price is okay, not bad. Their servings is big, per scoop. The staff in Megamall is too generous in scooping as in SCOOPING. :)
Ice cream today has really gotten so creative with its unique flavors and homemade blends. Merry Moo was a real treat as their ice cream was so creamy and full. They offered flavors such as Candied Bacon, Strawberry Basil, Horlicks, Avocado, and I made sure to try as much as I could before I went with a flavor. I went with a cup of Polvoron and I did not regret at all! The ice cream tasted exactly like Polvoron (well, of course!), was thick and creamy, and was just the right amount of sweet. Can't wait to try their other flavors next!
