Anchor Point Diner is a first of its kind when it opened in Mataas na Kahoy, Batangas. The concept was born through the perseverance of Chef Junjie Templo and his wife together with close friends and family to bring affordable and delicious food to his hometown while staying true to his culinary knowledge hone during his years as a seafarer. In just a few years after gaining a cult following in Batangas, Anchor Point Diner has finally opened their first Metro Manila branch in the safe and neighborhood friendly district of Barangay Plainview in Mandaluyong City.

Here is a rundown of some of the best sellers that you may want to consider when dining out with family and friends: Chicken Fritoz" in Original, Texas Wild, Teriyaki and Garlic Parmesan flavors - crispy chicken wings served with a small portion of thinly chopped cabbage and a generous amount of rice. For real value, add 5pesos more for unlimited serving of rice, for those who enjoy their chicken with rice this is quite the treat considering that the meal costs less than 150pesos.

Try the BLACK OUT Burger Challenge: Finish within 5 minutes and get it for FREE, with certificate and a place in their "Hull of Fame". Some people tried but failed, it is one huge burger filled with creamy cheese sauce, more meat that one can possibly handle. So in the likely event that you finish it in 5 minutes, give yourself a well deserved pat on the back for the achievement. Best shared with friends!

Hand kneaded freshly baked Pizzas - in Triple Cheese, Hawaiian Sunset and All Meat flavors. The crust had a little crunch outside while giving in to the soft, chewing center. The toppings were generous and very flavorful. Price points will give well known pizza brands a run for their money. This is a great piece of pie perfect to take home and enjoy while binge watching on Netflix. I enjoyed the All Meat Pizza for its texture and varied meat flavors. The added french fries on top was a surprise treat too!

Maldives Gambas - shrimps in a savory sweet gambas sauce paired with rice. Oriental Combo is a lauriat meal with teriyaki noodles, lumpiang shanghai and pork dimsum.

Chief Mate's Overload is a beautiful potato poutine on a huge dish. Great conversation starter while waiting for the rest of your orders. In itself, it is also a good snack option for sharing. Filled with grated cheese on top, meat sauce and crispy and freshly fried fries as its base.

The place can be rented out for special occasions and events. Beautifully interior and well though out dining area. The comfort room is a surprise for its cleanliness and design. Ample parking space in front. For affordable, simple and delicious continental fare in a fast, casual restaurant set up, Anchor Point Diner is a must visit when in Mandaluyong City. Recommended.

NEW RESTAURANT ALERT

ANCHOR POINT DINER is the first restaurant of its class in Mataas na Kahoy, Batangas. They are now in Manila (Mandaluyong City) to serve American/European/Filipino favorites like burgers, pizzas, pastas, and refreshments, and more!!

The name "Anchor Point Diner" means point of anchorage like docks and bays where sailors drop their anchors to relax and enjoy after a long voyage at sea. Did you know that “Anchor Point” is a sailor’s term for a memorable anchorage in a place where they will cherish in their memory forever?

Their location is perfect, easily accessible. The place is big and Instagran-worthy. There are different murals and themes designed for lovers of sea travels and adventures. Perfect for the family as this is kid-friendly as well. Their comfort room is clean and pleasant.

You'll enjoy fast and casual food quality dining experience at affordable prices here in Anchor Point Diner (check their combo meals and burgers). We were saying it's like Jollibee, McDonald's, and Chowking in one restaurant.

I personally like the following:
Nachos - it was meaty + the cheese sauce is flavorful. They said it is the cheese sauce of Anchor Point Diner.
Nachos was generously topped with those ingredients.

Chief Mate's Overload (P250.00) - combination of fries, meat, pepperoni(?), topped with generous serving of cheddar cheese, cheese sauce, etc. It was too good. Good for the barkada!!

Teriyaki Chicken (P109.00) - it was salty but tasty. The flavor stays not only on the skin, but also in its meat.

Black Out burger (P450.00 or P480.00) - complete package of burgers, cheese, egg, hashbrown, bacon, greens, drizzled with cheese sauce, etc. served with either fries or nachos. Their patties are thick BTW.

Italian Bolognese (P99.00) - their version is the Pinoy spaghetti that's sweet and what the kids will love. Anyway, I also love this one (esp if there's more cheddar cheese).

American Combo - chicken + spaghetti + burger for only P199.00, that's too affordable. I was able to enjoy it.

They also have the Oriental combo (P169.00), which reminds me of Chowking's Lauriat. It's served woth Pancit topped with teriyaki flavored meat, rice, siomai and tiny lumpiang shanghai.

Sweet Innocence - it is Cucumber frappe and not Matcha flavored. It was slightly sweet and refreshing.

Price range is affordable. Good for the family, students, and budgetarians.

NEW RESTO ALERT for all y’all who breathes Mandaluyong, Anchor Point Diner has docked in Metro Manila!

it’s themed and designed for lovers of sea travel and adventure. the name "Anchor Point Diner" means point of anchorage (like docks and bays) where sailors drop their anchors to relax and enjoy after a long voyage at sea.

concordant enough, their chef was once a seafarer - his challenge, while at sea, was to create and execute a multifarious menu monthly in order to appease and appeal to his hungry customers. he brought home all his culinary experiences while circumnavigating the world and despite the downside of its location and low population, he still pursued his ambition to make a difference in his hometown.

On 5 February 2016, Anchor Point Diner was born. The first of its kind in Mataasnakahoy, Batangas. A full diner featuring an exceptional array of menus ranging from American, European, Asian and Filipino dishes with an appealing and comfortable ambiance, good food and quality dining experience at affordable prices.

just last year, a partnership was forged and their plan to expand a franchise operation nationwide started and Mandaluyong was its first branch in the metro. this hidden gem is located in #43 San Rafael cor. Buenconsejo Sts., Bgy. Plainview.

their resto in Mandaluyong has a parking space, al fresco and air conditioned dining spaces that never runs out of nautical touches, from the murals, to the decor, i mean even its lavatories are a conversation starter and most of their art pieces are DIY. it boasts of family feel kind of place, welcoming not intimidating and defo IG worthy.

their menu has that fast food vibe to it, yet everything is freshly prep’d and cooked upon ordering. funny as it may sound, but it’s like you’ve had a fill of 5 fast food chains when you dine here, but nowhere near how they taste because Anchor Point Diner ensures they put their own flare in it.

they have combo meals, unlimited rice options (just add 5 pesos), buy one take one offers and even a burger challenge. chow down their black out (triple patty burger) in 5-mins, then you get (1) it for free (2) bring home a GC and (3) join the “hull” of fame winners and enjoy bragging rights!

basically, we were fed the whole menu- who am i to complain right?! haha. highlighting my faves from this sponsored foodie meet met are: the black out burger- its got egg, bacon and hash brown incorporated in their guysh, wow! shrimp olio- i appreciated coz it aint drowning in oil and remained moist even after being exposed for 20mins. chief mate’s overload- their take on poutine and i lurve the confetti of cheese on it! the teriyaki chicken- THE BOMB, bible, twas superlatively delish and sweet innocence- it’s a cucumber milkshake guysh, a weird ambrosia that swept my palate off its feet (if it had any), dayum, who’d’ve thought it can work out so well?!

they’ll be delivering via honestbee soon (while grab delivery is in the works). fixated enough?! you might want to franchise too, their totally up for it, who knows maybe the next metro branch is your destiny. inquire via SMS on 09178641279, call them on 02 7192691 or shoot ‘em an email eds.bgmcorp@yahoo.com (look for Ms. Eds Lamela).
