We passed by this restaurant and the menu looked interesting so we tried it. There was only 1 waiter so we had to wait a bit. Price was fair, food was okay. I had to add salt to some of the dishes. It was still a great experience, and the food was different from the usual “fried chicken” and “carbonara.” Oh and their Drinks were so good!
European food choices. Interiors are interesting and ambience is inviting since it is located in a corner spot giving it vantage point. Quite pricey relative to its serving size. They served us a complimentary wine to try which was a nice gesture since it encourages guest feedback on their wine pairings. Late review - visit date: January 2018
BEST. TRUFFLE. RISOTTO. EVER!!!!! Service is great too! Everything else on their menu is cooked to perfection! One of my favorite restos! I go back here all the time!
Been here twice and will surely come back again until I have tasted everything on their menu.
Everything are super good. Place is great and staff are superb.
We ordered their Roasted Chicken Greens Entree (398) and its suuuper delicious. I have the roasted chicken and the mix of the ingredients plus the fruitty vinaigrette. If its your first time, you should order this.
We ordered Amatriciana (299), Gnocchi Vongole and Roast Prok Belly which we I didn't get the price as this is on their special menu. The Pork Belly is soo crispy and comes with a salad. As for the drink, its a watermelon lemonade.
A bit pricy but sulit naman sa lasa. 👌
I loved the food! We got their coffee steak (picture below; coffee steak isn't really the name of the dish, but it's close enough hehe) and chicken and both were so, so delicious! 😍 The prices aren't bad too. The waiters were also attentive and quick. I can't wait to try their other dishes!
Crispy chicken, banana bread, salmon roast salad, quattro spatzle and monte blanc. The bomb. Great place and loving that they have customized sanitizers. Great service, nice and millenial feel vibe in the whole place.
This is my boyfriend’s go-to place at Shang. He just loves their fried chicken served with banana bread.
I also love it myself. But other than that, i really couldn’t remember anything that really struck me or maybe it’s because we’ve been ordering the same food over and over again. Hahaha! I guess the frozen brazo is one. You can order that after you eat the fried chicken.
Their serving size is good. Almost all orders are given in generous servings, which gives you so much value for your money.
Servers are also very nice. Never had a bad experience with them. There was a time when i took out our left over foos (including the frozen brazo). But since we still wanted to go around the mall, we requested them if the could keep it for us and we’ll just go back for it before wr leave the mall. They glady accommodated us. Thank you very much!
Ambiance is great for gatherings with friends. :)

Update:
Went back here again with my boyfriend and ordered th food in the photos. Everything's great!
Ended up in this place mainly because I needed a massage but the spa was fully booked. I consoled myself by getting something not-so-calorie friendly for myself. Tried out the frozen brazo and it’s really good. A good pair with the coffee but honestly, I wasn’t much of a fan of the latter because it could be stronger, for my taste at least. Ambience is chill and the servers are really pleasant.
I visited Spatzle in Shangrila Mall with my bestfriend just to have dessert after a heavy lunch from a different restaurant. We ordered fondue, frozen brazo de mercedes and coffee latte. The fondue was supposed to be with stick o, green apple and marshmallow. Unfortunately, stick o wasnt available, so we had more apples instead. Brazo de mercedes was to die for. We'd definitely go back for it. Everything that was served to us was absolutely great! We enjoyed our dessert and the ambiance. It was really relaxing, as it wasnt very crowded when we visited there. The prices for the dessert was a bit high, but there was nothing to complain about the food. We spent 700++. The only thing to be improved, i think, is the service. The crew was nice, but a bit slow. We had our order after 15 to 20 minutes, considering that they were simple desserts. The bill and the change was given to us after roughly 15 mins. A lady crew also accidentally broke glasses on the side. I don't think the lady crew was the only one to be blamed. I already noticed from when we arrived that there were glasses and other dishes placed on the side but not neatly and properly arranged. Whoever had that idea to put them there, boy, it was a total mess. ( i couldn't take a photo of that side, though). Nonetheless, i had a pretty nice experience!
Ordered their Weekend Pork Belly last night.
The pork was perfectly baked. Just enough juice and the pork skin was crunchy. The taste was not as savory as the usual pork belly. It tasted good for me just right.
While walking to find a place to eat, this restaurant caught our attention, and we knew we have to try the place and I must say it’s worth the visit.
We only ordered two because of big servings, here’s what we ordered:
ROAST CHICKEN GREENS ENTREE – This salad is a combination of fresh watermelon cubes, arugula, grilled chicken fillet strips, and mixed mesclun greens drizzled with sweet fruity balsamic vinegar, this one is really appetizing
And for our main dish we ordered their chicken pride:
THANK GOD IT’S FRIED (TGIF) CHICKEN – Crispy fried chicken served with paprika gravy, home made banana bread, with a choice of garlic rice or crispy fries and chips, we chose the latter. I find the presentation very appealing, looks like someone just prepared you a meal and woke you up to eat. The chicken is also perfect, they are already boneless and tasty.
Overall experience: This restaurant offers a lot of great food, we’ll definitely go back to try something more, the staffs are very easy to approach, cozy place and a relaxing one, the place looks good for lunch and dinner or meetings, they also have open kitchen wherein you can see them how are they preparing your food.
Love the Coffee Crusted Bistecca, but my favorite is the Risotto con Maiale! The cheese is just right and the pork slices are so good. The ambiance is very comfy. Yes, it is casual dining, so casual it makes you feel like youre eating at home with friends. The serves are nice too! If you like eating "pinoy style" aka parang-walang-bukas-kung-kumain, this place is not for you. They serve the proper eating amount. This is like our back yard casual resto. We always go here every Friday. Why? Visit them and you'll know.
It was only 4:30 in the afternoon, I was looking for somewhere to have a nice, relaxing meal, so I was walking and walking and I chanced upon Spatzle’s Chixday Friday sign. Fried, boneless chicken thigh for only P39/pc!

I have a busy day ahead, because it's me day again. Lots of shopping again around Shang. I ordered coffee crusted bistecca, and it was amazing! The meat was so tender and the sauce at the top of it was really delicious. I just wish there would be more servings of mashed potato. The ambiance was fine and the service was really nice, since the place was not full when I visited it. I'll definitely come back soon!
Tarte Flambé Mont Blanc ( bacon, pancetta, spinach, mushroom and cream sauce based Tarte flambé topped with freshly made paprika chips). Citrus cooler. Smoked Salmon Benny (smoked salmon on a bed of mushrooms and green topped with crisp coddled egg on warm brioche)

First time to try Spatzle despite being able to pass by their location several times already. Ordered their fried chicken , aglio olio pasta and their cake trio for dessert. The fried chicken which is prices around Php 500, it is so worth it! Comes with already 6 juicy pieces of chicken, chips and moist banana bread. The pasta was tasty though might not be the most value for money pasta there is. Serving was just right for one person.

I have two sets of best friends from high school: A and E, who usually prefer Western food; and M and C, who are more inclined to Asian dishes. I'm blessed, because I get the best of both worlds when I eat out with them.
A couple of weeks ago, I met up with A and E for an early dinner / catch up session. Since we're quite indecisive when it comes to choosing a restaurant, we had to go around the entire East Wing of Shangri-la Plaza to check our options. Spätzle Euro Market Cafe caught our attention, since we wanted to try something different from our usual pizza + pasta dishes.
Upon entering, I immediately noticed how well-lit the place was. Business is slow at this time (around 5pm). Their menu was easy to understand as most dishes have a description, so first-timers won't have a hard time in choosing what to order. Here's what we got:
✔ Rösti Classic with Sour Cream and Lemon Wedge (Php 160) - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is a Swiss potato pancake; nothing too fancy as we ordered it with just sour cream and a lemon wedge, since we wanted to keep things simple and try this in its most classic form. We split this into three pieces, and is actually quite filling. I'm glad that the sour cream and lemon wedge made this dish such a delight to eat, as it added so much flavor depth to a simple potato pancake. This dish actually made me feel like I was eating PikNik because of its texture. 😂
✔ Thank God It's Fried (TGIF) Chicken (Php 345) - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This came with 4 pieces of fried chicken, paprika gravy, a slice of their hausmade banana bread, and potato fries and chips on the side. The server actually told us this was a solo serving, so we were pleasantly surprised by the serving size which is not bad for its price. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and more importantly, its skin was crispy and not too oily. Their gravy tasted great, though not as smooth as I wanted it to be. The banana bread was really good and moist, and I actually hoped they served a bigger piece. 🙈 The fries and chips paired well with the chicken, and had a generous serving size. This was my favorite dish for this visit, because it's so sulit for its price and the components matched well with each other. If you want a bigger serving of this, you may opt for the TGIF Picnic Tray (Php 565), which they say is good for 2-3 persons but I'm sure it can serve more than that. 😁
✔ Quattro Spätzle (Php 495) - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Of course, we wouldn't miss ordering the dish for this restaurant's namesake. This sampler set good for 3-4 people, consisted of four flavors: bolognese, truffle mushroom cream, carbonara and pesto; and comes with some crunchy and addicting bread sticks. Surprisingly, while I'm not a fan of carbonara, their version actually made me change my mind; thus, became my favorite flavor for this sampler. It had a creamy taste that's not too nakakaumay, especially since the sauce is just evenly coated on the pasta surface, which I think is the right amount compared to pasta swimming in the sauce. The truffle mushroom cream was also nice, but I'm usually having a hard time consuming truffle dishes since the flavor is usually too overpowering. True enough, this flavor overpowered both the bolognese (which I found to have an off-taste I cannot explain), and pesto (which was just a so-so flavor for me). 😞 This dish might seem to have a small serving size, but do not underestimate the spätzle -- it's super filling! Make sure to eat this while it's hot, as it can get super nakakaumay when it gets cold (and it does get cold easily bexause of the serving plate).
It was unfortunate that we were so full already, and our tummies cannot accommodate any dessert!!! 😭 I really wanted to try that Frozen Brazo de Mercedes, though. Maybe next time!
Service was generally good, though some of the servers looked a bit bored, maybe because it's not yet the peak hours for them.
Overall, Spätzle serves good food with affordable prices. It just seems intimidating as one would think that their food are pricey, but the quality and serving size are very sulit. Our bill was at Php 1100 (including service charge), just ~Php 370 per person. Good value for money, considering how full we were after this meal. 😊
Tip: Make sure to come with an empty tummy, because the dishes here are generally filling! 🐷
I initially wanted coffee but got intrigued about Sea Breeze. This cranberry drink is really good! I wish the serving was bigger though haha. Anyway, the Fondu Chocolat Tasse is also yummy - perfect for dessert! 😋👌🏻🍹🍫
Umorder kami ng TGIF Pinic tray at Open-face Roasted Chicken with Arugula. Masarap and madami ang serving nila. The banana bread is great also, sayang hindi na pwede humingi ng isa pa. Ciao Spatzle.
We were so excited to try this place because the weekend special 'Pork Roast Belly' looked really good on the poster. Alas, the reality is quite the opposite. The roast was just too bland, nothing special about it. But their Sangria was delicious and not too strong so kudos to the bartender for that. We didn't get to try other dishes (the pasta looked good) so hopefully, their other dishes are better than the Pork Toast.
Surprisingly good carbonara, had the open face chicken sandwich too, which was good. Big portions. Downside? No walls means maingay na katabing table, maingay pa sa labas.

Euro Market serves fresh European cuisine that satisfies the Filipino taste buds. Coveniently located between Shangrila Plaza's two wings, it was able to accomodate a late afternoon reunion with my wife's workmates. A bit pricy but every peso counts
First time to eat here 😊
The GOOD 👍🏻
🔸Affordable! 3k for 8 dishes 🤑
🔸Bacon Mozza Logs- bacon wasn't salty, cheese was gooey and stringy 😍
🔸Banana bread Florentine- eggs benedict on banana bread. Really good combo!
🔸Risotto w/ Pork Belly- pork was melt in your mouth, but only 4 pcs ☹️️ truffle risotto was normal
🔸TGIF Chicken- crunchy skin and flavorful
The BAD 👎🏻
🔸Latte- tasted diluted
🔸Swiss Alps Rosti- hashbrown topped with beef. Very bland and disappointing
🔸Puttanesca- didn't taste like puttanesca at all. Didn't find any capers or anchovies. Saving grace was the add-on sausage which was good
The Normal
🔸Bruschetta Plate- dips were liver, hummus, salsa. Tasted fine
🔸Roast Chicken Sausage w/ Garlic rice- it was more of half chicken meat strips, half sausage
Enjoyed eating here with the fam 😊 really shocked by the bill given that we ate so much 😋 will be back here to try their other dishes
Spatzle currently has a promo on unlimited coffee for 80 pesos from Mondays- Fridays 1pm-5pm so I dropped by to drink myself until I had enough coffee in my system to stay awake for days.
The place is great, it is your typical artsy cafe/food place and you can get a lot done here, the service is attentive, the wi-fi is fast and functional, but the food I tried wasn't really amazing.
I had their Thank God It's Fried Chicken, which were 3 juicy, perfectly cooked chicken breasts with crispy breading. It comes with garlic rice (which tasted more buttery than garlic) and homemade banana bread. It was good, but it was a little pricy for 345 pesos.
I love cannoli so I'm perpetually looking for a place to get the fix, trying them whenever they're available. Their cannoli was interesting, the shell wasn't crispy, it was thin and basic, the filling tasted like a lot of cream cheese, but it wasn't thick. It had cinnamon which didn't really work with the cannoli. It fairs poorly with Maria's and the commercialized Big Mike's which is just your crispy pastry with a dense fresh screaming great cannoli. Overall, it isn't worth 225 pesos.
If I were to grade this on the coffee promo alone, it would be higher, but the food was just mildly disappointing and pricy. I would probably come back to try their Spatzle and other dishes, but the current reviews don't leave me that excited.
Haven't tasted much of their menu but the Truffle pasta is really good that I have to come back to have it again. Although on Sundays they are a bit busy and there was an instance in which they served first the FROZEN brazo de mercedes before we receive the main course so the brazo isn't frozen anymore by the time we eat it. I suggest they use a bit common sense in terms of whether the dessert should be served first or not, right?
I've been here thrice and I always come back for their pasta! My favorite would be the carbonara with an egg right at the center. I also never leave the restaurant without ordering their Braso De Mercedes! They're delicious!
The restaurant is quite pricey for me but their serving size is not too small. Just enough. I also love the restaurant's interiors; very clean and bright and cute. I would definitely come back again!
Been wanting to eat here, lucky me to have our client meeting here today.
Ordered their yummy mont blanc pizza, aglio oglio pasta---opted to add Salmon (around p300, could have been better if fish was more) and their regular rosti (potato cake with Swiss cheese) with sour cream and lime. Got their best selling drinks---cucumber citrus cooler and watermelon cooler (sans the soda). All were surprisingly good!
This is where my family and I decided to celebrate my birthday. Its a long shot, never read any review just to be neutral to mine.
We scan through the menu and decided to order the following:
1. TGIF Picnic Tray (good for 2-3)
2. Spatz Carbonara for sharing
3. Pizza Sicilia
4. Tarte Flambe Monte Blanc
5.
And for drinks, citrus cooler and mint lemonade.
For the food that we order, here is my rating :
TGIF Picnic Tray (good for 2-3) :
Taste: 3.5 - i find the chicken a little bland. Even the fries needs a tad of salt.
Presentation: 4.0 - they pay attention to the way they plate it. I like the it was presented on a wodden tray.
Price: 3.5 - 565 is a bit high but its just fairly priced.
Spatz Carbonara for sharing
Taste: 5 - i must say that for all the food that we ordered, this one is my favorite. Im not a big fan of Carbonara but i am quite delighted with its taste.
Presentation: 3.5 - they still can improve on the plating of this dish.
Price: 4.0 - for 495, it can't complain.
Pizza sicilia
Taste: 4.5 -i love the Arugula (or as my daughter say its a rocket) and the fresh shrimps together with the cheese and the dressing (i think its raspberry). This pizza is good! I can say that they don't scrimp on the ingredients.
Presentation: 3.5 - they can still improve on the presentation. I dont find it enticing until i taste it.
Price: 4 - fairly priced (495 pesos) for an 11 inch pizza
Tarte Flambe Monte Blanc
Taste: 3.5 - i also find it a little bland. I do want my food a little more tasteful. Adding a little salt makes it tastes a lot better.
Presentation: 4 - i like the way it was presented. The potato chips adds appeal to it.
Price: 3.5 - at 365 its fairly priced.
Overall i give a rating of 4.0 for the overall food, ambience and food presentation. Its a good choice to celebrate my birthday 😊
Had a quick merienda here to try something different. We had the haus paprika chips, citrus soda cooler and caffe latte. The paprika chips was delicious and the serving plate was unique. The citrus soda cooler was also nice. Haven't tried the meals but they look delicious.
Originally, dapat sa TWG kami pupunta ng friend ko to eat (kaso di pa kami prepared para sa TWG nung time na yun), so naghanap kami ng ibang restaurant to eat out. Since nag crave siya for German Food, so we ended up to this restaurant. The service is good, accommodating naman staff nila (even explained to us the menu, na mostly eh in German language, so kailangang i translate kung ano siya). As for the food, I ordered Spätz Pommes-Frites and Stringy Tomato Cheese Gnocchi, very good!
Kung magagawi uli ako dito, I'll try their meats next time 😊
Ended up having a brunch meeting with a very high end client and he was so happy with his business 35% sales increase for the last month due to Business Evolution (BizVo) online marketing strategies being applied for his business. So I couldn't say no to this, especially more free food! ;)
I ordered the Spinach & Bacon Fluffed Egg - served with homemade breakfast sausage and focaccia french toast. Dish was ok just the sausage needed to be little more juicy. However my favorite had to be the drink, this awesome drink was called All-Natural Citrus Cooler Soda - citrus fruits with honey & mint leaves in sparkling water. When you decide to come here you certainly have to try out this drink as its a must. As I had the business brunch meeting I wasn't able to take the photos but I certainly will come again and have the same dish to take the photos to share.

Spatzle is a restaurant that stayed away from the usual decor of exposed ceiling, woody interior and dramatic lighting. I did not particularly like interiors as it too have some flaws. But I'm just glad they actually did something different.
I am to do a review on the food items though and not the interiors so here it goes... I am a bit lazy awhile ago into looking at the menu so I just asked the server to give us the best sellers so he then suggested their cauli calamari... fried chicken and bisteka (hope the spelling is correct).
When the food arrived there is hesitation on my part as all food items appear dry and unappealing. But when I started sampling all 3 I have to say that they did very well on taste profiling. No food flavor was over powering... all has balance in taste.
We had so much fun eating here and hope more people will try this. Challenge for them is to be consistent.
The moment I walk in to Spätzle Euro Market Café, I immediately fell in love with the sparkly ambiance l, the cozy sofas and incredibly good lighting. I ordered their must try Roast Chicken Sausage on Mushroom Spätzle and I must say that it does not disappoint. The pizza is quite spicy, although I was never really a fan of spicy food, I actually enjoyed it. 🍕🍖
Good food, but service can be improved. I don't know if it was for lack of staff, but we had to look around several times for staff even though we were on the couch seats, and there were items on the menu that weren't available (the mahi-mahi, the Reuben sandwich.... Both of which were my friend's choices lol).
My friend and I got the citrus soda cooler, poutine fries, Swedish meatballs, and the roast chicken salad. The soda cooler is like Sprite.... But with more citrus lol and a tad sweeter (and pricier, 145php for one mason jar-full lol).
My favorite part of this meal are the potatoes TBH. Mashed potatoes and fries were great. Can't go wrong with gravy and cheese curds, and the mash was creamy. And there was a lot of it.
I'd come back to Spätzle, for the food! Hopefully the service improves as well. (Also for their hand sanitizer spray lol it smells great)
Spatzle has a cozy and well-lit atmosphere, attentive staff, and the best mozzarella sticks (or logs, as they call them) I have ever tasted. Their frozen brazo de mercedes is a nice treat too. Would love to come back again, should a craving for cheese arise. :)
Amidst the international flavors of the new wing of the Shangrila Plaza mall is an unassuming corner shop with a name that's often mispronounced. Still, it's the name that's only amiss here, as the menu is quite superb. Spatzle offers a good selection of Swiss / German fare, a good mix of healthy eats and sinful treats.
Highs:
1. Pork belly: supposedly a weekend special but lucky for us it was available on a Tuesday. The crackling skin was immaculately crispy, but the meat was also delightfully soft, tender, and fatty. Surprisingly pairs well with the berry dip instead of the usual pinoy lechon dip.
2. Sausage platter: whats European food without the signature meats? Two kinds of sausage were served (not sure what each was called), but one was lightly flavored and the other darker and peppery, coming on stronger. Both were tender and addicting, but somehow the dips paled in comparison. Would have loved a melted cheese dip instead of the mustard which was overwhelming.
3. Spatz carbonara: the spatzle version of a well loved pasta classic. Spatzle has a typical doughy consistency and usually devoid of flavor, but thr white sauce was perky and creamy, and was quite enjoyable. Little bits of bacon add a contrasting texture to the doughy softness of the spatzle.
4. Frozen brazo: the goddess of all desserts. A unique brazo de mercedes with 4 distinct layers each playing on your tongue with a symphony of texture and flavor. The first layer is the airy and sweet icing, followed by the thick custard filling frozen to an ice cream like consistency. The third is another sweet filling but tougher and crunchier. The last thin layer of crust is cloyingly sweet cookie dough. Dessert done damn right. All the time.
5. Roast chicken greens entree: a surprise rave, given that it is a salad dish. The watermelon interplayed with the light sourness of the vinaigrette, rendering the greens enjoyable. Ample chunks of roast chicken meat added to the mix, itself tender and smokey.
Lows:
1. Trio of cakes: we tried another dessert offering out of curiosity. Definitely leagues below the frozen brazo. The zucchini cake was okay but the cream cheese icing was a tad overwhelming. Same goes for the red velvet. The toffee cake was the best of the 3, surprisingly light with its caramel topping.
2. Despite the good selection of menu, some meat lovers will look for steak, which is absent in the menu (except for the sirloin tapa breakfast offering).
Spatzle offers much more than their drool worthy frozen brazo. The selection of mains is satisfying although lacking in some aspects. Prices are also reasonable for the serving size. Spatzle is worth a look among all the other international cuisine restaurants in Shangrila.
After hours of strolling around Rustan's, we finally decided that we were hungry and that we had to grab lunch already. Was supposed to visit green pastures but wasnt able to find it easily so Spätzle was the best choice since its just located beside the escalator.
My visit to Spätzle was totally unexpected, and I must say, the food was surprisingly good. I went with my mom, who loves European food ONLY if we're having it in Europe, so I was kinda worried that she might not like spätzle's take on european food when I saw the menu.
We had the watermelon lemonade, new potato and mushroom soup, mont blanc flatbread pizza, truffle and mushrooms gnocchi, and the open faced roasted chicken w/ arugula sandwich. Each dish was less than 400php, and that's a pretty good deal for good european food in the country because there are others that have really pricey renditions.
Surprisingly my mom was wowed by this restaurant! The watermelon lemonade was indeed new to us. It tasted so fresh and light! Didnt even need sweetening or icing anymore. Perfectly blended. The new potato and mushroom soup was also good, loved the tiny bacon bits on top. Really liked how this one tasted. Could get salty if you dip the biscuit that comes with it though. The montblanc flatbread pizza is actually my first rectangular pizza! It had their homemade chips on top which were also good! But I dont really like chips so it was kinda put to waste. My mom and I both enjoyed this we finished the whole thing. The truffle and mushroom gnocchi was also good, strong truffle kick, and gnocchi was big and can easily make you full. It's best for sharing not for solo meals!! The open faced roasted chicken w/ organic arigula sandwich was another winner!!! The chicken was marinated in such a way that it tasted so fresh and good. It tasted like it was homemade and I really like eating food that actually tastes like food! Not pretentious at all.
Lowdown was that we werent offered the dessert menu, but its okay because we were already so full by the end of the meal. The women of their staff arent as smile-y as you would expect and sometimes they dont see you raising your hand when you try to catch their attention. Their chefs actually are the ones who see the diners calling for their attention.
Food was really good ended up being so full, but it was worth it. Total amount for two was 1400+ and that's already inclusive of 4 good dishes and one drink! They also have a hand sanitizer on every table!
Corned beef hash was really good. Pasta was okay, reminded us of spicy chicken yakisoba. The sangria had cinnamon, which was unique. The wine was good for the price. I would come back to order their other dishes.
Value for Money: 3.5 / 5
Food: 4 / 5
Ambiance: 4 / 5
Service 4 / 5
I never expected German food to be easy to like, but Spätzle has definitely showed me otherwise. Shredded potato pancakes topped with chicken or sausage kinda sounds heavy and it most definitely is, but it is beyond superb. Another dish I enjoyed there was their beef stroganoff with mushroom spätzle. This was definitely a stuffer, I remember a mountful of beef sitting above a pile of curled pasta noodles with a cream based sauce that is to die for. Not to mention, the tomato soup and mushroom soup (which are both phenomenal by the way )is something a soup-fanatic should try any time soon. Solid af!!!
It was the ambiance that drew me to this place--both quirky and homey, and really pops out from the strip of restaurants it belongs to. It markets itself as European cuisine, and the menu is pretty innovative. Their selection is mostly classified as brunch for me, but the food we did get were pretty good! Try the Salmon and Cream Cheese Roesti and Vegetarian Gallette for something both light and healthy.
Something different is what attracted me most about Spatzle. European places is not aplenty. We had good Roesti. A teaditin Swiss Potato Pancake. We got the Salmon and Cream Cheese- good, could be better with more cream cheese. The Grun Buckwheat is a must try especially for Vegetarians. Oh they have their own sanitizers!

My boyfriend invited me here for his birthday dinner. To be honest I was disappointed when we first got here since the place didnt look romantic at all. It had the Chelsea Market feel to it. But after tasting what he ordered, I realized he invested on the taste rather than the overall feel of the place. I had the roast chicken sausage on mushroom spatzle. The serving of the chicken was generous and the sausage was just delightful! I really loved Crisp Mozza logs as well! My boyfriend ordered the Spatz Burger and it was well, a burger. That was i bet the low point in everything we ordered but the rest were heavenly! For drinks I had the all natural citrus soda and that was really refreshing! I highly recommend that! This place is perfect for a brunch with date with friends and boyfriends! Must try!
Spatzle Euro Market Cafe
Pogi chef spotted! LOL - But kidding aside, I love the ambiance of the restaurant. It's open yet not too noisy - great place for an afternoon chit-chat with friends (particularly girlfriends). I like how everything seemed to be well thought of. They even provide hand sanitizer in each table. I can't really make a full blown review since I just went for coffee and tried their trio of assorted cakes. Taste can be improved, cake not as moist, a bit dry and crumbly. I'd definitely revisit to hunt that cute chef, I mean, to try their famous roesti and buckwheat galettes.
I've been wanting to try Spätzle for quite a long time now because I've been drooling over their Sangria. I usually hate restaurants that are open and not walled. Spätzle was one of those. Good thing it was in the East Wing of Shang so it wasn't as crowded. Shang is my forever go-to mall because it is flooded with g r e a t restaurants. :)
Upon entering, the staff were all smiles and we were immediately directed to our table. Spätzle is a gem to dine at. The ambience is chill but kind of fun - I can't explain it. It's a great place to catch up with friends and have cocktails during the day. The ambience you get here is not like the vibe you get from other restaurants, and its aura was preserved although it's an open restaurant.
We were immediately given the menu and they even assisted us as to what their bestsellers were. We ordered the Roast Chicken Sausage on Mushroom Spatzle and Pork Schnitzle on Spatzle. Along with that, we tried their spatz all natural caffeine free iced tea.
Both were affordable given their huge servings. The Roast Chicken sausage was good - it was tender and the sauce complimented it well. I never thought chicken and sausage go well together. The mushroom Spatzle was bland for me, though. The Pork Schnitzle was huge. It comes with a salad at the side and a lot of spatzle below the pork. It reminded me of Kettle's chicken, except my Pork Schnitzle was bigger but thinner. I smothered it with lemon. The spatzle was good, but as you go along and eat, the taste starts to make you not finish it. Same goes with the pork schnitzle. It gets an A in terms of crisp, but it was bland and I didn't even get to finish it: I was so full and I wasn't too thrilled on the taste also after numerous bites. But - it was a great meal nonetheless. Maybe my appetite was just acting up. Their Spats Iced Tea tasted great - loved how the chamomile was really evident in the drink.
One more thing I liked is their friendly staff. I loved how they were always smiling and pleasant. They are the type staff that don't make you feel bad after asking for something because they really seem like they want to enhance your dining experience.
I've yet to try their Sangria (i wasn't in a sangria mood earlier lol). Spätzle was great. No regrets at all. ❤️
Was here for dessert only. But looking at nearby tables food looks good. We had the frozen brazo and it was great! Must try! The coffee not bad too! Ambience- I did not like the loud music esp we were with some seniors.
My first time here was just for coffee with a friend. Then i came back for another friend's birthday celebration. We ordered a bunch and i really loved the food especially the poutine fries! It's got everything; cheese, tomato sauce and graaaaaaaavy.
Loved this place will surely come back for more!!
After a long day of running errands before the long holiday starts, Spatzle is a good way to end the day. The ambience is relaxing, which is very conducive for a late afternoon catching up.
I've tried their Smoked Salmon Cheese Roesti and it was great. Im not a fan of fish dishes in any restos because I only like them grilled straight from the fisherman's boat, but this smoked salmon is quite interesting and I like the flavor combination.
To keep us refreshed, I had their Cucumber Lemon Soda and my friend had the Watermelon Slush.
I'll surely be back to try the other dishes on their menu and I'll be more adventurous then.
I was dreaming of Marche in Singapore when I saw their Rosti! The taste however is just so-so, the potatoes were not evenly cooked and the sour cream was scarce! It's good but couldn't match Marche!!! They need to improve their sour cream and the way they cook their potatoes!
Spatzle offers really good sausages that would give you an idea of what Frankfurt tastes like. Also, I'm really stoked with their chicken and their Cake Trio!
Although the staff may not be that accommodating (or maybe they're just tired as we have gone there at about 8pm-ish), the restaurant's bright ambiance surely makes up for everything. It's a great place to bond with friends.
Frozen Brazo de Mercedez x Trio of Assorted cakes (Nutella Cheesecake, Red Velvet, Sticky Toffee Pudding) - - - best way to end your night with these cakes. All of them are worth to try
Spatzle is a must-try!!!
While my mom and I were searching for a good place to eat for dinner in Shangri-la Mall’s Level 5 East wing, we were able to find a GREAT one!
They have a very interesting menu full of dishes I would love to try so it was kind of hard to choose and decide what to eat at first. I opted to try their Spinach and Bacon Fluffed Egg while my mom tried their Smoked Salmon Benny. Both were just delightful not only with the taste and flavors but with the plating as well.
The Benny was nicely executed using a brioche bread instead of the classic english muffin with fresh green salad on the side. Also, not sure but I think there was something unique with their poached egg…was it fried?? Being a food-tripper who loves brunch food, I’ve had my fair share of trying eggs ben from different cafes or restaurants across numerous countries and having it with a fried poached egg was definitely a first for me…and it was great!
As for the Fluffed Eggs, I was pleasantly surprised with how big the serving was! It comes with their homemade sausages, focacia french toast and some sweetened apples on the side. The fluffed eggs were actually a quiche minus the pie crust which is good, given that it already comes with the french toast it doesn’t need more carbs. Their sausage is one of the best I’ve had…even better than some of those I’ve had in Germany or in other European countries which is saying a lot. The french toast although not the usual french toast I’m accustomed with (sweet with milk) is fluffly in the inside and crunchy on the outside. The Focacia seasoned with rosemary was unexpectedly good. Having a perfect bite of this dish – one bite with little servings of everything (egg, sausage, toast and apple) is just heavenly! Flavorful and simply delicious!
As I’ve mentioned above, their menu is very interesting. On top of that, food I’ve had so far were scrumptious and prices are reasonable. Now, whenever I find a menu like that…I would be sure to come back!

For someone who's not a frequest Shang-goer, I had a hard time looking for this place, but it was all worth it. The place is very good. Design and ambience is spot on. Food is great. Thumbs up for the Farmer's Breakfast. Very big serving. And their best seller drink, The All-Natural Citrus Cooler Soda is really to die for, very summer-y. The crew/staff, they are all nice.

Tried the Shangri-la East Wing branch with my mom. We ordered their house salad and half roasted chicken roulade stuffed with sausage and served on a bed of spatzle with gravy drippings. Chicken was cooked just right, juicy on the inside with crisp skin on the outside. Though it was a little salty, the rosemary flavor came through and added balance. Nothing spectacular about the house salad, dressing was a bit sour for my taste. Overall, I'd still go back to this place if only to sample their brunch menu and mimosas.
This restaurant caught my attention the first time I saw it. It has a great ambience because of its interiors that at first sight, it makes me want to go have brunch. Although we actually went there for dinner two nights ago before our movie starts. While waiting for our meal, we ordered the All Natural Citrus Cooler Soda which consists of lime, orange and lemon plunged in sparkling water. It's a refreshing drink even for me who's not a fan of sodas. It takes quite a while before our meal gets served so we made a good choice of letting them pre-serve our drinks. What we tried for our main is the Spatz Carbonara because we're feeling like it's a pasta night. The noodles are different because of the Spatz or Spatzle but the taste is quite the same like other carbonaras. For dessert we had the cake trio, Sticky Toffee Pudding, Nutella Cheesecake and Red Velvet. They may be mini cakes but they're absolutely sumptuous.
Postpone the flight to Frankfurt. Come to Spätzle instead. Spätzle is a type of egg noodle or dumpling more popular in Southern Germany.
As for the European fusion restaurant, nicely tucked away in the new wing of EDSA Shangri-La mall, it is a comfortable place to chill with hubby and the kids, or a group of friends.
From potato salad, done the Aleman way, flat breads for you health geeks, and lemonade in mason jars, one can tell a lot of love went into conceptualizing this restaurant ala cafè.
Wir Essen!
Really really nice place! Modern interiors. The bar looks great. Big pasta servings. Good English house tea. I want to try their brunch cocktails soon!
Last month, we were setting up a reunion for our Beijing group, alongside a friend being in town for Cebu.
As this was our first time here, and we couldn't decide what to have...the first four of us (the others arrived a good 30mins to 1 hour later!) decided to order 1 dish each and then just share amongst ourselves. My favorite among the 4 is the Roast Chicken Sausage with Mushroom Spätzle (upper left in photo), which has this delicious fried sausage on top of the Mushroom Spatzle. My personal order was the Smoked Salmon Roesti (lower right) which comes with an egg and a potato pancake. It was so good, though there's not much of the salmon and the pesto sauce was mostly on one slice of the salmon, but the potato pancake was so yummy that we just finished it all up. We also had the Gnocchi Vongole (upper right) and Carbonara - share portions (lower left).
For drinks, my friends had the Citrus Cooler which they really liked. I had the Mint Lemonade but asked that they not include mint as I don't like mint...so basically it was just lemonade. Haha. So if anyone wants to follow my example, just order Mint Lemonade minus the mint as they don't have a (solo) lemonade drink listed.
Gotta give Spätzle props for an amazing service. Our servers were really nice and attentive, and the food didn't take too long coming out, just enough time to whet our appetites after ordering. Of course, they were also kind enough to take pictures of our group, and were more than patient when we decided to switch sides because of the lighting.
And when we asked for a take-out box for some cookies our friend brought from Cebu, they let us have one even if it wasn't for anything we were buying from the establishment! They even let us have some tape for the box.
Gotta say, I can't wait to come back here.

Spatzle offers Swiss/German-influenced comfort food that is filling and fairly unique to the Manila dining scene. Not many places offer spatzle and roesti pancakes on their regular menus, which this restaurant does fairly well. Carb-conscious visitors ought to know that they also have interesting salads on the menu.
My friend and I squarely tucked away a roast chicken sausage with spatzle, which had a mushroom gravy; and a roesti pancake with a chicken fillet topped with caramelized onions and a mushroom cream sauce.
Good display of technique in making the "sausage": we were eating quickly and I didn't examine it carefully enough, but I believe it was a half chicken fillet that had been expertly deboned, with the wing left on, rolled, and then stuffed with an uncased aromatic pork sausage. The sausage smelled and tasted delicious, with thyme mixed in, and had just the right amount of salt. The mushroom sauce was okay.
My own chicken fillet was fried, maybe a little too overfried, but well seasoned. Meanwhile, the grated potatoes used for the roesti probably needed a bit more draining at prep time to speed up cooking and make the roesti pancake a bit crispier. Freshly cooked roesti takes time to make, and this cannot be compromised upon, since cold roesti, even when reheated, changes texture, turning greasy and soggy. The mushroom cream sauce adds a yummy richness to the dish, and overall I'd say the calorie splurge was worth it.
Spatzle scores highly on the quality of comfort offerings in its menu, but I foresee it running into problems if the menu doesn't offer more balanced calorie options. The salads, which aren't displayed on the menu here, help make the difference.
A friend and I had lunch at Spatzle last week.
I ordered the Grilled Sausage Roesti while my friend had Grilled Mahi Mahi Spatzle. The servings were quite generous, and the food was delicious, except that the mahi mahi was a bit oily. Nevertheless, our dishes were both great.
For dessert, we shared a trio of desserts: Sticky Toffee Pudding, Zucchini Cake and Nutella Cheesecake. We loved the Zucchini Cake and Nutella Cheesecake the most!
For drinks, I'd recommend the Cucumber Lemon Soda.
The prices are somehow reasonable. I would to visit this place again.
Am no big food critic and usually just eat at a few regular restos and honestly we only tried this place because we couldn't get a table at ramen place a few stores down in new wing at shang. I guess sometimes when you are not expecting it, its especially memorable. I had the spaghetti & meat ball and my kids had the chicken stuff with sausage. The food was excellent and we all cleaned off our plates except for my oldest son who ordered a breakfast dish and didnt really like it. Spatzle is not normal fare but well worth the try and we would definitely go back soon.
I am constantly on the lookout for new restaurant concepts and the new wings of Shangri-la Edsa Mall have a few new places that have sparked my interest. One such place is Spatzle. You can't walk by it and not stop to admire how charming this diner is, with pretty lighting accents, warm wooden furnishings and chalkboard menus by the entrance, you'll definitely want to go in at least for a look-see. I had lunch here with my mother-in-law and kids and actually liked the food, for what it is. I usually go for the healthier option when dining out, when I can, but in Spatzle, they have a quite a lot of comfort European dishes so expect quite a bit of deep-fried food and rich entrees. We order the Pork Schitzel, Salmon Cream Roesti and their Fried Chicken for the kids. While waiting for our food to come, our server hands us a cute little bowl of house-made potato chips with an adorable wooden clothespin label that said, "try me!" so we did. The Schnitzel was fried properly, crisp and not at all oily, served with a side of delicious mustard that I had to ask for seconds on this delectable yellow condiment. My salmon Roesti was heavenly, almost like eating smoked salmon with Picnic Potato strings but better. The kids seemed to enjoy their Fried Chicken served with Spatetzle and gravy. For dessert we tried their Nutella Cheesecake which was a button of a dessert, a tad tiny for sharing. All in all a good experience, yum food with great ambiance. Just prepare to pay quite a bit more than your usual tab, but definitely worth trying.
