Actually the place looks a little bit run down but gives you a feeling how a British restaurant looks like. The food quality was just average, but they had some good entertainment there and the drinks were mixed great.
supposed to go at valk, but one our companions forgot to bring her ID. So off we go to DULO, makati. After getting lost in the poblacion area we finally found DULO, but unfortunately my companions didn’t liked the vibe (it was too gangster for them) so we went back to woodman’s and took our table.
finger food - it was ok 3/5 , almost devoured the chicken skin (cos hunger pains)
Drinks- 4/5 a little bit pricey, but this one will do. Had the lemon drop 3/5, and bucket of san mig lemon 5/5 .
Service- it was alright, thank god the kareoke machine didn’t have any charge
I basically tried this place because it looks like McLaren's Pub (the bar in the TV series, How I Met Your Mother). Their meals are a bit steep but the atmosphere is great, especially if you're just out to drink for a while.
The reviews posted below are two years old, the negativity expressed by Adam is no longer applicable; the Woodman's Head pub is under new management; it provides a warm, friendly and welcoming traditional British pub atmosphere, providing excellent food from an extensive menu, together with competitively priced beers and spirits, in fact it is one of the cheapest places to drink in Makati . The pub has four wide-screen televisions providing full live coverage of English Premier League football matches and major rugby games. Check out their new website, look for woodmans, excluding the "head".
Been here a few times can't beet the Happy Hour price on local drinks and beer 35P. Food is decent Pub food and they have free billiards and darts in the back room. Found the people really friendly and the staff is pretty attentive.
Woodman's Head is a great place to hangout with friends or meet some new ones. The 2 for 1 Happy Hour from 3 - 7pm is the best deal in Makati. Live Music Wednesday - Sunday in the evenings.
