A new restaurant and bar just opened in the famous vicinity of Poblacion. Movida is all about fashion cuisine, they serve what’s trendy and food that’s Instagram worthy. So expect to have dishes that are familiar and popular with their own modern twist.
On this visit, Movida pretty much handed to us, foodies, everything in their initial menu. We had endless portions of salads and sushi in colorful plating for appetizers, followed by several entree options.
What I liked was the creamy layered, Lasagna; garlicky and tender Salpicao; and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich, paired with tomato salsa.
Others went gaga over the Truffle Pasta, Grilled Salmon Risotto, and the savory and pepperish Lamb Chops.
For dessert, all three served to us was gone with the wind. My favorite was the cinnamon explosion in the Apple Pie, which came with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream. The other two were Brownie ala Mode and Blueberry Cheesecake.
Movida also has entertainment every night and an extensive drink selection in a relaxing, spacious area. They are located at P. Burgos Street.c
