AMBIENCE
They have two parking slots and a wheelchair-friendly ramp right outside the entrance. Other customers can park across the street for free though the restaurant owner pays for the parking (as per staff). Restaurant was very cool with calm, lounge-type background music and relaxing lighting for the evening. Tables have grills and condiments are on the side. Seats gradually got filled and I found it interesting how diverse the crowd was. I'd recommend this vibe for romantic dates, friends and officemates. Almost all other customers had their grills on; so exciting!
FOOD
Hokkaido Miso Ramen was salty but pretty good! I enjoyed the strong-tasting broth with well-cooked noodles (though I still prefer hard texture), some shredded corn, ginger and slightly tender chashu. It was really heavy but perfect on its own. I'd recommend this to anyone who intends to eat only one dish.
SERVICE
Servers assisted in getting a table and were consistent with cold tea refills; never had to raise my hand for another. They also handed me a cold towel and kept on bowing before leaving my table. Ramen took a short while but was worth the wait! Bill was ready the second I asked for it and my change came back with a piece of Mentos. 😊
