First, the place is very clean. I really like the ambiance. For the food, they serve Filipino touched dishes. Well, the serving is a little bit small for the price, but you can see the quality of ingredients and the preparation. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here when we had our department lunch out. You can feel the authenticity of Filipino taste with a touch of modernity.

Petra & Pilar sounds like an old Pinoy movie, and it really brings back memories of childhood movies featuring Aiza Seguerra or Maricel Soriano. As of this time, I still don't know if there is such a movie titled Petra & Pilar. Hahaha
But from the name of the resto, you already have a feel that it's gonna be Filipino food through and through. And what's more Filipino than a boodle feast!?

Salu-salo (P999)
- Pancit Bihon, Kropek, Salpicao Chicken Wings, Inihaw na Liempo, Itlog Na Maalat with Kamatis, Bagoong Rice, Ensaladang Mangga with Bagoong, Spicy Tahong, Buko Pandan
Notable dishes for me here are the spicy tahong (very appetizing!), inihaw na liempo (really crunchy!), and the chicken wings.
Fiesta (P999)
- Pancit Habhab, Kropek, Chicken Pork Adobo, Pandan or Garlic Rice, Pineapple, Tomato and Aligue Salad with Bagoong, Itlog na Maalat with Kamatis, Saging Con Yelo
I enjoyed the Pancit habhab and its flavors, as aell as the saging con yelo for my dessert.
Blow-out (P999)
- Pancit Canton, Fried Calamari, Breaded Pork Chop, Chicken Inasal, Aligue Rice, Itlog na Maalat with Kamatis, Ensaladang Talong with Bagoong, Fresh Fruits
I love the fried calamari and the Chicken Inasal with the aligue rice. Plus, who can say no to fresh mangoes and watermelon?!
I'd say the P999 price point is a steal! You get all those items for just less than 1k, and it's good to feed at leat 4 to 5 people already. Great for pick-ups for the office too!
This place has such a catchy name. I was able to try their boodle sets, where they place banana leaves on your table and you can eat by hand. Food is served family style.
I really did like the food. My favorite would have to be the clams that had a coconut sauce. That was sooo good.
Their cocktails I didn’t really like. Just get a beer here.
Are you ready for some boodle fight? This is what Petra & Pilar currently offers and it’s just so exciting as we, Filipinos love this type of food. The come-together, fiesta feel and the overflowing food is what I’m saying. Petra & Pilar is a restaurant/bar in Urban Avenue, Makati. The bar area has a tropical vibe complete with coconut woods. It’s big enough to sit up to 100 persons. There’s al fresco area in here, too.
We all know that food brings people together. And a few weeks ago, we were invited to a get-together with some foodie friends at Makati’s Petra & Pilar. But this was no ordinary meet up. As soon as I stepped in Petra & Pilar, I was immediately greeted by friends sitting on two (2) long tables brimming with food, food, and more food. Only did I realize, this restaurant is not your ordinary run-of-the-mill Filipino-themed restaurant. We were up for a FIESTA— a Boozy Boodle Fight at Petra & Pilar! I was invited for the launched of Barkada Boodle Menu of Petra and Pilar in San Antonio, Makati.
Petra & Pilar Restaurant re-opened its doors last October 2016, providing the surrounding clientele with a fully stocked bar, draft beer and signature cocktails.
Petra & Pilar’s menu features a wide range of options from breakfast to dinner. Open Monday through Fridays at 7am to 12 midnight and Saturdays from 7am to 3pm.
The restaurant can sit approximately 100 guests comfortably, making it perfect for company parties, corporate meetings, product launches and the like.

So many food, that’s the words I will say when they presented the boodle to all of us. It’s really good when you eat with your family members and friends. And the boodle menu taste great. It’s appetizing and delicious.

Everyone’s favorite was the Coco Loco but I preferred the Gin Cala. I like the strong alcohol content of my drink until it will be dissolved or diluted via ice. It will balance the flavor after.
Overall, it was a good and fun night. We have a nice and sumptuous dinner (Boodle) paired with Pinoy Summer Cocktails while the band serenade us. The staff provided excellent service too.

It was my first ever boodle fight at Petra and Pilar! It’s a filipino banquet where A LOT of food is laid out on banana leaves, and you use your hands to eat. I don’t really know why it’s called “boodle”, but maybe it’s because “boodle” means “a lot”, though usually referring to money. My friends also had to teach me how to eat the Aligue Rice with my hands. I ended up rolling it between my palms like an onigiri. It was a fun experience just grabbing food left and right. My favorite has to be the juicy Porchetta Ham with the lechon sarsa! I love the sweet liver gravy! The Bangus Relleno was also good. I grew to love meatloaf in my youth maybe because of the raisins. A bangus relleno is basically a fish loaf! The creamy Buko Pandan takes it home!
Petra & Pilar Restaurant re-opened last October 2016 at the ground floor, JAKA Center Building, Urban Avenue corner Pasong Tamo, Makati City. Open Monday through Friday at 7am to midnight. This previously high-end carinderia is now a move welcoming place to hangout to enjoy good food and a fully stocked bar of draft beer and signature cocktails like P+P vs GT (Petra's version of the classic Gin&Tonic).
I find the ambiance in Petra & Pilar very relaxing - my friends and I always go here when one of us is going through a rough day. I keep coming back for their tapsilog (actually, this is the only meal I order, but i am planning to try out more dishes)
