This is a true representation of pinoy comfort food. This brand and branch never failed us yet. Ever since we first visited, we held dinner with friends, team mtgs, Xmas lunches here because of their food. There are times we will not choose to dine here when they don’t have bulalo. The usual order and must try are bulalo, kare kare, sisig, tofu sisig, lechon kawali. Our rice record? 27 cups for 12pax! Warning, if you’re on a diet, you won’t be able to stop yourself from enjoying their food without rice. Ganun ka sarap ang food nila. A true embodiment of comfort.
This is not the first time we decide to have our dinner here because of the quality of their food. Though this time, because it is Christmas season we waited approx 30mins to be seated and that's very sad.
Their ambiance improved compared to last time that we went here (last year pa ata ung huli punta natin prior to this day). Food still tastes the same and the service also went up to the nxt level. Amg dami tao the day we had our dinner here pero they attended to our request in a timely manner 😊
Mangan will still be one of our go-to restaurants everytime we're having a family day.
Service - 5
Food - 5
Ambiance - 4.5 (ang crowded pag madami tao dahil ung interval ng tables is super lapit)
Price- 5 -- Very reasonable ang presyo
Nice place and ambience but above everything else the food tastes great.
I don't know how food tastes like in Pampanga or how authentic their food is. What I know is their food is good.
Everything is good except for the part of the floor that is extra slippery. Rating could be higher if I have more food and the slippery floor can be resolved
Super solve. Sorry for the pic. I really love their sizzling chicken super yummy ng gravy sauce. Worth the price. Will definately back here.
Mangan always hit the spot! I was craving for sinigang na hipon and this was the nearest one from my office that serves really delicious sinigang na hipon. The sisig rice was also very filling. The pusit in olive oil was also delicious. Service is good as always.
Been wanting to try this restaurant and have been checking out their menu. Finally, on my 1st ever visit, we ordered:
Sisig ni Mely - I like it that it was not served on a sizzling plate because I hate it when I have to leave a restaurant smelling like the food I ate. Sisig ni Mely tastes good. Not oily and still “malaman”. Worth trying.
Tortang Talong ning Kapampangan - this one is not the usual tortang talong because the ground pork which they used as “sahog” has potatoes in it. A bit salty for my taste, though. But the eggplant really tasted roasted prior to being made a torta. Served with ketchup. (I just don’t like the fact that my ketchup was served on a bowl that was a bit still wet fresh from dishwashing. Ugh! Hope they wiped the bowl first before pouring ketchup.)
Suam sa Tahong at Halaan - this one tastes different from the usual halaan soup mom cooks at home. It has the usual ginger slices, a piece of siling haba, tanglad (lemon grass) and whole peppercorns. Served also with slices of corn on cob. Also a bit salty for my taste. But the soup was served piping hot, so this aspect got me, though.
Mais con Yelo - very few mais. Don’t try this one.
Bottomless Brewed Iced Tea - sulit! Does not taste like the ready to drink varieties.
Over-all - will definitely come back to taste the Crispy Pata Demonyo 👹👹👹
Great food, taste homey, serving is small, place is relatively ok.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cons: Service is not that good ⭐️⭐️, considering high volume of customers they must be trained enough to serve better.
Here are my thoughts on my recent experience at the Glorietta 2 Branch:
Adequate serving ✔
More budget-friendly than its competitors 💰
Filipino Cuisine 🇵🇭
Accommodating servers 🙋♀️
*I requested if it will be possible to serve the Pinakbet with shrimp paste just on the side (due to allergies) and yes, they granted my request. That satisfied my cravings!*
Hope the above helps. Worth a try! I will definitely go back and try on their Original Crispy Pata.
First time to dine in this resto and in this branch, I came here with my workmates to have lunch, my experience is so good, food is great! i enjoyed their ginataang kalabasa and sitaw.
I will surely recommend and go back here.
Plus! the staffs were so accomodating.
Mangan is a Filipino restaurant that serves classic selection of Filipino Dishes. It was lunch time when we went to this restaurant to satisfy our Filipino dish cravings. We opted to order Lengua with Mushroom, Crispy Pork Adobo and Adobong Pusit.
My favorite was the Adobong Pusit which is served in a sizzling plate. The dishes were delicious and tasty. 👌
We also ordered a Special Halo-Halo. And to our shock there was really nothing special with it. My sister and I were not happy about this because we were expecting that the dessert we ordered will satisfy us more. Instead, it disappointed us.
Our concern is that their serving size is a bit small and the staff that time were really slow in serving. The coffee that my sister asked was served after the dishes were served. She told the waiter to serve the coffee first.
We will definitely be back due to the delicious meals but not to this branch. 😑
